I drew a Female Mudokon (at least it looks like one)

Hey y'all.
I'm working out some sketches of Mudokons and female Grubbs. Not that i'm crossing the two, no, hehe lol. Its like math, maybe. Compare two images of a Mudokon and a Female Grubb( i chose the Rebel Leader), then stripe away any male looking parts from the mudokon(i.e. Big muscles, flat upper body :p , male face) and then search up those striped away parts on the Female grubb. Now err... (what did i do again) imagine how those female grubb parts would look a bit mudokony like, and DRAW.

I can't explain very well. Just look at the picture :D

(Hey thats my authograph underneath... oopsie :p )
EDIT: Please add comment, dudes. It's my first oddworld drawing i did with a pencil. Sheesjh.

big bro boogie 06-05-2005 07:44 AM

I don't want to double-post but, it seems that all people which viewed this don't find this important enough to reply to.(bunch of ego's)
But it was just that, this was my very first oddworld drawing, and if no one is interested, i'd better stop drawing oddworldian things. :|

EDIT: Damn I can be soooo sentimental...
EDIT2: Never mind this post...

Fuzzleman54321 06-05-2005 09:27 AM

NO DON'T! I just saw this topic. It is cool! Great Work!

big bro boogie 06-05-2005 09:47 AM

phew!
thanx dude, i got a little impatient, sorry 'bout that hehe.
No worries, i'll draw some more later on. But first ive gotta study for my greek test tommorrow mornin'.

Dancing Steef 06-05-2005 10:04 AM

agree with Fuzzleman54321! a great drawing... i cant draw mudokons like this one as ya did, mine jus getting wierd n' ugly a goooooood drawing is all i got ta say! :p:D

big bro boogie 06-05-2005 10:22 AM

yay, i've got a compliment from one of the best drawers on the forums:D
EDIT: maybe U can use the instruction above, to make a nice drawing.(note, i'm dutch)

T-nex 06-05-2005 11:07 AM

WHoa! I really like the details and anotomy.... But the face might be a bit weird... Too stretched out or somehting. But don't worry about that. I really really like this drawing :)

big bro boogie 06-05-2005 11:31 AM

Your right with the streched thing, T-nex, it in fact is that i've put the "coconut"(as i call it) a bit too high, or i made it too big. It should be about 3 or 2.5 eyes tall, and this one is about 4 eyes tall. But that ain't trouble i guess.
(done with learning Greek, now learning French)

odd chick 06-05-2005 05:19 PM

Nice pic, big bro boogie! It's great! ;) I agree with T-nex-the anatomy of this pic is top-notch. ;)

Kimon 06-05-2005 05:22 PM

You drew those hands straight from the art book, didn't you? C'mon, I know you did... ;)

Cool drawing overall, though Mudokens with boobs = Ewwww.

big bro boogie 06-06-2005 06:29 AM

Not straight, if you mean i drew them while looking at it... yess.
But there* abe had four fingers, so i needed to merge 'em
I'll be drawing one other FemMud this week, yet colored this time.
Expect it to be finished 'round 3 days, if not, probably sunday.
(*i haven't got the art book... yet. the image of abe i used came from togg)
(PS: i've got a 10 or an A for my Greek test this morning, yay!:D)

Dancing Steef 06-07-2005 11:14 PM

thanx for the compliment i preciate that! and thanx for yer tip i'll try it out!

i drew a mudokon a few months ago, but i cant find it...anyway i'll draw one sonn as possible:p

big bro boogie 06-10-2005 08:11 AM

Yay, as promised here ya have my second drawing.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...e/scan0003.jpg

I did about 6 hours in total (3 for the grayscale with pencil, and 3 for the colouring) for this one.
And i tried to fix the face, but that way... she really looks like a coconut. So i kept the forehead a bit big, but this face looks, in my opinion, a bit better than my first one.
If ya haven't noticed yet, she's walking. So her legs are alright, i think.

Hope ya'll like it.:D

odd chick 06-10-2005 05:33 PM

That pic is pretty cool, big bro boogie. ;) There are two things I noticed about it, however. One is that the hands are absolutely HUGE-now I know that muds really DO have big hands, but I don't think they're THAT big. :S Another thing is that the feet are REALLY tiny-Mudokons have big feet as well. ;) Other than that, the pic is cool-I love the clothes that she's wearing. :D

Dipstikk 06-11-2005 03:35 AM

My only critique is that the hips should be wider than the shoulders, as in all females. Though, I know from personal experience that this can be hard to master. I still don't have it down.

big bro boogie 06-11-2005 05:26 AM

*Writing down tips to his notebook*
Alrighty, next time i'll try an' fix those little probs...
PS: those hands look huge becouse I forgot to ad a part of the wrists,
And, Dipdude yo' right. It looks definatly hard to master, for you need to scale down the collarbones AND attach the schoulders to them, which can lead to make her look like she has a big neck, if you do it the wrong way.

By the way, thanks for the support guys.

EDIT: i found out that grubb females barely need collarbones, as if they almost hide them behind their backs. So if grubb females don't need them, why should mud females need em? don't answer. :D

odd chick 06-12-2005 03:40 PM

No problem, big bro boogie. ;) I can't wait to see more of your art. :)

big bro boogie 06-12-2005 03:43 PM

I'll work on it every time i can, but my next week is pretty messy with all o' those tests an' stuff (damn school can be tough)
Bot anyway, thanx for ya support, my next drawing will be done probably next friday or saturday

Dancing Steef 06-16-2005 12:20 AM

eh, man nice pic! i like it alot! :D keep going drawing yer pics on muds I'm so imprest.:p anyway good luck with yer tests and stuff, i'll keep my fingers crossed for ya! see ya soon!

Munch's Master 06-16-2005 08:25 AM

Good drawings they are, better than I could ever do. Good luck with your tests and i look forward to the next one soon.

big bro boogie 06-18-2005 01:24 PM

Gwhahaha, sorry guys but my 3rd drawing is done halfways now.
I can't give y'all an exact date when i'm finished cuz (I know every long-time drawer on these forums had it) I've got this block thingy.
Err... normally the situation would be like: you're in a marathon and POOF, a wall is in front of you.
But now, it's worse: I'm in a marathon and POOF! Holy sh*t! Where are my legs?

But surely It'll be done, I'll get over it... I hope... yup... I'll probably get over it. :P

Edit: Sorry, didn't notice the support so ;) :
Thanx for the support, again, guys! :)

Munch's Master 06-19-2005 04:12 AM

I know how it is having a block. I want to start this fanfic I've been planning but I can't think of a way to begin it. I look forward to the next pic anyway though. ;)

odd chick 06-19-2005 10:06 PM

Yes, I know how you feel, too, big bro boogie. ;) I've been writing a fic and I've had writer's block for God knows how long and I haven't even updated my story in a month because of it! :D Oh well, we'll still be waiting. :)

big bro boogie 06-26-2005 05:34 AM

I managed to get this picture done within that damn block, because before the block i finished a black 'n white body, without head. It was staring at me each day, until i couldn't stand it anymore and tried to draw a head.
7 times i messed it up, until today...
So here you go

odd chick 06-26-2005 03:39 PM

Nice job, BBB. ;) I love the way she's posing.

big bro boogie 06-26-2005 03:46 PM

THank you so much... :) :D
Yeah the posing job was one of the hardest parts, but i got that done before my block, so that was some timing.

odd chick 06-26-2005 03:50 PM

No problem, but yeah, I like it-it's really neat. :D I hope you'll post s'more stuff up soon. :)

big bro boogie 06-26-2005 03:55 PM

Yeeaah, that's the thing, i've got this last test week, and then school is done for. After that, I'll destroy (some god please damn this word) my block and draw like hell, i mean... you probably understand.

I'm going sleepy now so, g'bye.

odd chick 06-26-2005 04:09 PM

 Yeah, I understand. ;) Well, good luck with your tests and g'bye. ;)

the brew master 06-26-2005 10:04 PM

Is it just me or is the head a bit elongated? Theres just something about it but other then that it looks awsome, keep up the good work.

big bro boogie 06-27-2005 02:41 AM

Errhm.. I do that all the time, no worries.
I'll try to work on that once my school vacation starts (about 16 juli)(ends 6 or 7 september)
Anyway thanks for ya support!!!!111ONEONEone
(That's the only noob talk which ever made me laugh, lol):D

Munch's Master 06-27-2005 09:29 AM

nother good picture, but is it me or is the head too small? Probably me, since I don't get all this anatomy stuff you said about why it's like that. Meh.

big bro boogie 06-27-2005 12:18 PM

Thanx, man. Actually I figured out that the head just has this wrong eye-forehead measury thing, or it depends on "the snout" as I call it (the thingy with the shadows on each side above the lips).

Dancing Steef 07-03-2005 01:33 AM

it's lovely BBB! I like the way you draw Mudokons. but there's one thing that I would say not to be rude but anyway; I thought the female Mud's head looked a bit small...that's jus my critique... the pic is cute anyway.

see ya!

DS

big bro boogie 07-03-2005 07:11 AM

Thank you kindly there, Dancin' Steef.
You ain't rude, I like critiques. And yeah her head is a bit small.
But I never actually was good in drawing any head(yup, including even birds or simple ducks).

And oh, I completely forgot... SCHOOL HAS ENDED! Only need to return some books and get my survey and stuff. yay.
So I'll be practising on heads more often.

Anyway,
See ya.

odd chick 07-03-2005 08:05 AM

Yay for the end of school! :D Anyway, yeah, it's kinda hard for me to draw heads, too-I usually either get them too oblong or too fat! :D It doesn't matter what I try to draw, but the head always ends up messed up! Anyway, keep practicing! Your drawings are cool!

Munch's Master 07-03-2005 11:26 AM

I end school this Friday! Woo! But yeah, heads are hard. They are the most difficult parts of a mudokon for me, I can rarely, if ever, get the eyes or mouth right.

Dancing Steef 07-04-2005 09:27 AM

I agree with ya guys...Heads are quite hard to draw, I got trouble when it comes to Mudokons... I drew a mud yesterday, but me scanner doesn't work so I'll send it in when School begins...:( anyway the pic of the mud is more of a Cartoon.

yay end of school lucky you BBB! I myself ended school for almost a month ago...
but have fun on yer vaccation! tomorrow I'm going out for a ride a swim in the lake not far away from me home...

See ya!
