I heard that on the 12th MTV (ugghh) will be having a special on next generation consoles, with footage from some upcoming games. The show will be aired at 9:30, and I just wanted to know if anyone else will be watching.

Yep, your right. Xbox 360 will shown to the public for the first time.

Even as a loyal Xbox Live player, I'm still speculating that the PS3 will kick the Xbox360's ass. Unless, of course, the PS3 online play sucks as bad as PS2's pathetic poor-man's retort to Xbox Live, and Xbox actually (heaven forbid) picks up a greater quantity of a desirable third party exclusive titles that don't jump to another console within weeks.

Nintendo Revolution will suck.

As for Xbox Next and PS3, it's hard to tell. Xbox (according to hearsay) will have lower graphical capabilites, but it will come out earlier than PS3. On the other hand, PS3 is supposed to have super good graphics (again, according to hearsay), but it will come out later. It's probably going to be a popularity contest though, so I'm guessing PS3 will sell the most units, Xbox Next will sell a lot, and the Revolution will blow.

You can use an xbox to crush pepper. Also it's great weight makes it a convenient doorstop, clothing press, midget eliminator, and as a novel inventive application; a paperweight.

Sony better get more titles for PS3, becuase right now their titles stink. Elder Scrolls IV has guarenteed me an X360 purchase.

@ the comments about the size of the Xbox 360: Pff. I don't mean to sound cliché here, but... does size really matter? I mean, what are you going to do with it, bring it on a backpacking trip? Or drag it through the Sahara chained to your ankle? If it's just going to sit next to your TV, or occasionally accompany you to a friend's house, the fact that it's x inches taller and y ounces heavier than the competition just doesn't seem to make much of a difference. Anyway. It looks cooool.

If any of my friends get one of the new Nintendo systems, I'm going to laugh at them at make comments about the size of their wang.

And on the console size, the Xbox isn't even that heavy, you wusses. Nor that large. It's smaller than a PC. But if a console is curved... How can I use it as a coaster?

If there are no Oddworld games on the Xbox360, then I am never getting that concave horror. Plus, I don't think Tim Schafer will make a sequal to Psychonauts, and even if he decides to, I don't know which counsole it will be on. Definitely getting a PS3 (As long as the price isn't too high) and possibly Revolution, if Nintendo does something like RE4 (Great third party games). Also, please excuse my shitty spelling, I'm tired.

I seriously hope that isn't the next Xbox. Who on Earth do they have designing these things? Even Nintendo do better.

I doubt I'll be getting any of these next-gen consoles. Maybe the PS3, but unless there is anything I direly want on Xbox or Nintendo (curse you Zelda!) I won't bother.

I will ONLY get a PS3 if it's backwards compatible. I want to play FFVII on it.

As for you people complaining about me complaining about the size of the new Xbox, learn to treat ergonomic design as a friend. The "occasional" trip over to a friend's house is usually more than occasional for me; I take my Xbox all over the place. I'm tired of it. Look at the size of GCN... hell, even the PS2. The Xbox is too large and no amount of concave curves can make up for the fact that it takes up too much damn room. I don't care if I'm being too whiney. It's a valid opinion and criticism of the new system.

And if the rumors are true that there will be NO backwards compatibility for the Xbox, I will be pissed off indeed.

Just so you know, Bethesda is developing for as many consoles as they can, so TES IV will likely appear on PS3 as well as Xbox 360. I'll still be getting the Xbox, though. I really, REALLY hope that it will be Backwards Compatible.

My alliance with Microsoft is shakey at best. If the PS3 has backwards compatibility and there aren't enough wing-kicking games coming out right away for the Xbox360, I'm crossing over to the Sony side.

Anyway. I need to exact revenge for Windows ME.

I've had the N64, PS1 and Xbox. Who knows who I'll go with next time.

It's actually the other way round. I thought it was funny a magazine was stupid enough to post that... 'Xenon' was it's codename, and XboxNext was what everyone called it before now.

And on the PS3 VS. X360, who cares? I'm purchasing which ever one has TESIV first. Otherwise, both consoles have very shitty lineups... Except perhaps MGS4... I'll probably end up purchasing both consoles at one point.

...One controller port..? What a ****ing rip. :p Probably an arteests interpertation(sp?).

It's actually supposed to be wireless, meaning that each of the four controllers will be assigned a different frequency, so that only one port will be needed.

As for the little white button beside the Memory card slots... I have no idea what that could be.

Memory cards? They did away with the whole... hard drive... dealy... thing! Bastards! I hate them! Noooo! Although... it might still be okay... as long as they don't charge an exorbitant amount for the memory cards. But who am I kidding? Of course they will. Argh, they suck.

And wireless. Ugh. Those better be a hell of a lot better than the current wireless Xbox controllers.

They'll have both. Memory cards and hard drives. Memory cards obviously used more by the people who don't have the hard drive.

You know what I think, I thank the the little casing on the left of the Xbox (you can see on the side box image, on the bottom) It might open and you'll have the rest of the 3 ports. And it's wireless, finally no more triping over cables while carrying a bowl of popcorn.

The Xbox 360 looks very good, but I don't find the controler appealing, it's just like first one! almost. I like whiteness.

Like Searex said, yes, it is all supposed to be wireless- at least the controllers. As for the Memory Card, it will be optional. MS will be releasing two models- one with a harddrive, and one without. The one with the harddrive, will be more expensive.

Personally, I hope they release a 360 version of the origional Xbox controller. The big one that it had when it was first released. The thumbsticks move perfectly, and games are much easier to play on it, and it fits perfectly in my hands. I can't stand the little ones, with the black and white buttons below the right button layout, and the back and start below the left...... god, I hate it....

The Xbox360 is suppose to be cusstomizable like an Ipod or something
Who the hell wants to customize there console? unless its something so ground breaking it makes up for the computertower look.

PS2 and Xbox 1 both have customizable options.... they're limited, but they're there.... the 360 custom probobly won't be groundbreaking.... but anything more than a parental lock and a date and time counter would be nice.

Edit: About those specs: Xbox beats the PS2 hands down and still is being beat. Being out early with enough horsepower is a huge advantage. The PS3 will have to be noticably better looking to keep up. And all the hardware in the world won't save the "Revolution." Sorry, Liberace, I mean Nintendo, you've been tagged with the girly title.
