Yes, a new Pontiff has been appointed to become head of the Roman Catholic Church. He's German and his name is Joseph Ratzinger, although he's now changed his papal name to Pope Benedict XVI.

My first impression of him is that he looks like a combination of my grandpa, one of the school guidance counselors, and the Penguin from Batman Returns. And seven point two times scarier than said combination.

You can tell that they just scraped that image into the toast with a knife. I've done that loads of times in the past and made huge amounts of money on ebay and fooled all my friends.

I say it's just because he's German. I've seen at least 10 elderly German males who look like the new pope. One in particular being a World War 2 veteran, who was one among many of the soldiers manning machine gun bunkers at Normandy beach during the D-Day landings. He has made several appearances on the Discovery channel, one in particular where he met up with an English and American war veteran to discuss the event on friendly terms. Obviously it's just German genetics. |
Rattzinger was in the Hitler youth and he fought in belgium, Funny that John Paul the second and Rattzinger were best friends though isnt it?
