What's your Xbox called?
 

Heh, this is my first thread here so bare with me. ;)

As I'm sure most of you know, when you buy an Xbox it comes with a name built in to it, which is given to it by a random name generator during the Xbox OS installation.

So, what's your Xbox called? And, are you happy with your Xbox's name?

Mine is called "noodle".

Mine is called Sneak. I don't particularly care for that name, but it's an all right name. Better than Noodle. :p

My is called Donut or was. You can rename your Xbox just play time trial mode DOA3 and when you have to enter a name enter what you want your xbox name to be walla.
My new name is Big Daddy.

Mine is Omega. A little generic, definitely not as interesting as noodle, but it's a powerful word.

Omega Alpha Delta the greek words I truly like did you change the name or did your xbox come like that?.

My xbox is called Saucy. I guess it's not so bad since I'm a girl. Omega is pretty cool though, I would have rather had that.

Mine is called F*ckBucket. That's just my mind's problems personifying themselves.

Yeah. Really. I think it's actually changed several times since I got it.

Might be "TV Casualty" now. It seems to pick up what I name my files.

Where does it say this? Im still a little afrade to turn my xbox on because it might burst into flames.

How do you check the name?

That's the one really cute thing about the Xbox, it's like it has a little mind of it's own. :p

Mine was called crazy, untill my brother somehow changed it to godless... its not too bad i suppose

I think you can check it in Halo 1 lan games, but I cannot fully remember.

The Xbox can change its name? How does this happen? That's awesome!

I think it changes into a profile name on a game save file. At least that's how I think mine got the name Godless.

Is there anywhere we can look this stuff up? Cause I don't remember making any saves called "noodle"...

Noodle may have been your default Xbox name. Your Xbox probably just hasn't changed it yet.

Alpha had it right. It only works with DOA3 and a few other games. Mine is "Ninja". It's the default, and I probobly should change it.

Mine is "Hambone". Greeeeeaaaat. I think it is Super Munch now, though, or I hope... I haven't played Halo 1 in ages.

I have no idea what mine is called, but I just call it: X-Box...

But really, I never heard of this. Someone asked how to find it, but the only response was through Halo Lan Games. Is there any other way, as I don't know how to do that, even though I have a [mostly unused] copy of Halo, and I'd be interested to know what my Xbox name is.

Put in Halo, go under Multiplayer. Then go to Split Screen, I think, and then set up your game (doesn't matter what map and rules) then when you get to the lobby, it should say your Xbox's name up at the top left.

Yeah it show's an Xbox an the name.
I heard it can be shown on a diffrent game (medal of honour or ghost recon)

Actually, it would be pretty humorous to have one arrive with that name as a default. :p

Wine-o.
Tramp.
Bum.

Vagrant. Loafer. Freeloader.

So what was that about changing the name? How can one do that? Sneak isn't a terrible name, but I could think of something cooler.

You play DOA3(dead or alive3 for those who don't know)
And do a time trial. When you have to name your profile for the leaderboard enter what you want your xbox to be called BTW I named my xbox Alpha yay!

Mine has always been called 'Ghost'. I always wondered what the word Ghost was referring to before when on multiplayer Halo.

How do you find out the name?

Put Halo 1, go to splitscreen, choose any level, and at the top left there should be a picture of an Xbox with two names at the top and the bottom. The top one will be your Xbox's name.

It doesn't have to be a Halo lan game. If you use any of the "tunneling" programs like xbox connect or kai link it will show your xbox's name in the pre-game loby.

since i cant get halo working, im honestly dont know.
i bet its something like "forger", or "Trimole"...
