Munch Model Kit

Hey everyone,

I got a call from Lorne Lanning this afternoon and he has given me his permission to sell copies of my Munch sculpture. He and Sherry both have copies on their desks and they really appreciate all of you fans.
These are pics of the sculpt

Here are the resin castings.
***Note, the kit on the left is what the model looks like. I have made some small modifications to the hand for the model on the right**

This is a resin (plastic) model kit and does require assembly. It comes in 13 pieces. If anyone is interested, please send me an e-mail

Xavier - Thanks for the help.

Wow! I am just amazed at how great of a sculptor you are!! Those are great and it's good that Lorne and Sherry allowed you to sell the copies. :)

Pzak 02-22-2005 03:47 PM

Thanks everyone.

I forgot to say that it is 7"/17.8cm tall.

Agent-Sarah 02-22-2005 04:57 PM

Damn! that would look great next to my new Drawing desk.

Phat_man 02-22-2005 05:02 PM

That is so awesome, Pzak.

MojoMan220 02-22-2005 05:39 PM

You should seriously think about submitting your resume to Oddworld Inhabitants. That is some damn fine work! From what I can see, the models look perfectly proportioned and free of imperfection, spectacular recreation. Out of interest, how much are you selling them for?

Leto 02-22-2005 05:45 PM

Yes, Pzak, how much doth they cost? I'm very interested :D Huzzah! You can finally sell them! Time to rejoice!

(I probably wont be able to purchase one this month, but I'll save! :D)

Dipstikk 02-22-2005 05:50 PM

I am so gonna get one of those.

...um, considering it isn't...too pricey. ;)

Leto 02-22-2005 06:00 PM

And, is it pre-painted? Please, oh good lord, tell me it isnt. I love painting models. :D

Munch is cool. Now it is time to fundraise for Munch models.

Chocolate, anyone..? Remeber- it aint free. :p

Godlesswanderer 02-22-2005 07:31 PM

I may get one of these. Although it depends entirely on my money situation http://www.foroedonkey.com/vb/images...s/pensando.gif.

Abe16 02-22-2005 07:33 PM

Software Bug 02-22-2005 08:50 PM

Alcar 02-22-2005 09:22 PM

Wow, I was amazed when I first saw them. But knowing I could now get one is great news! Though like everyone else, I hope they don't cost too much. I'm out of money, and I'm yet to get Stranger's Wrath still :p

Alcar...

Parafox 02-22-2005 09:59 PM

I emailed Pzac and he told me the kits were $60 US + Shipping.

It's a bit much for me so i'll have to think about it.

Fuzzle Guy 02-22-2005 11:29 PM

I missed out on the Abe model, I'm not gonna miss out on this

Alpha 02-23-2005 03:25 AM

Those are brillant as if it were the real thing. How much is it in euro's?.

Edit: What's with that pipe in the back?.

Software Bug 02-23-2005 03:55 AM

:

Edit: What's with that pipe in the back?.

i think it is just a pipe to make the model so it wont flip over or something:p

yeah man it is a bit expenisive but i think i can get one.
is there a limited offer of those statue's??

Alpha 02-23-2005 03:59 AM

Yeah those recasted one's look cool and no SM I don't think it's pre-painted as pzak said earlier they come in 13 pieces so I guess you have to assemble them.

Godlesswanderer 02-23-2005 06:47 AM

:

How much is it in euro's?.

It's about €45.50. And that's without the shipping, how ever much it is.

Also, here's the price in some other conversions people might need.

$60 = £31 (British)
$60 = $74 (Canadian)
$60 = $76 (Australian)
$60 = ¥6,300 (Japanese)

I can;t think of any other currencies people may need.

T-nex 02-23-2005 07:25 AM

Wow, this is unbelievely good work :)

How the heck did you get lornes phone number???? Uh, what did you ytalk about?? :p

Fuzzle Guy 02-23-2005 07:47 AM

Maybe he emailed Fanlegal and gave Lornne his Number

Five 02-23-2005 08:19 AM

awesome work O___O...shame that I can't get one.

smerles 02-23-2005 08:30 AM

Pzak, will there be an already assembled and paintet version for those of us who aren't very handy / don't have the time etc. ?

Xavier 02-23-2005 08:34 AM

Xavier - Thanks for the help.

you are welcome... :)

I might buy one, but I don't realy have that much money right now
how much is the shipping for belgium?

Pzak 02-23-2005 09:23 AM

Thanks again everyone.

As far as I know, there is no time limit for availablility, so don't feel pressed to get one right away. The molds are good for about 30 copies but I doubt there will be that many who want it. Unfortunately, the silicone molds and casting resin are several hundred dollars, so that is reason for the price. I am not making much money on this.

It will be a few week before I have any ready, so don't worry. I will try to get an approximate shipping weight so I can quote shipping costs to various countries.

Super Munch - No, they are not pre-painted, you will have to assemble it and paint it. Just a model kit.

Angle-Fox - I would be happy to take more pic of other angles for you, if that will help you in drawing Munch.

Alpha - That is the support for sculpt. When I was finished, it took it out and filled in the hole.

T-nex - I got the his e-mail address from a friend who did all of the sculpts for the first game, Abe's Oddessy. He is the nicest guy and he loves to see all of the fan artwork that is sent in. You would never know he was the president of the company just by talking to him. Very down to earth.

Pzak 02-23-2005 09:35 AM

smerles - No. But there are people who offer that service. If you are serious about getting one that way, I can e-mail you some contact information. But you should know that an average price for a custom building and accurate Munch paint job could easily be $300+

Xavier - you have mail.

Oddish 02-23-2005 10:47 AM

Thats great news Pzak! You must feel quiet proud Lorne wanting to sell those Munch Models.

Pzak 02-23-2005 12:18 PM

Oddish - Thanks. I am very happy that he liked him enough to want him on his desk.

Unfortunately they don't make models any more; it's all done on those computerthingies.

Leto 02-23-2005 09:08 PM

OoOoh, thank God for model kits. I love painting. Assembeling and painting is all the fun of models. What is the point buying one that is made up for you and painted? To gawk at (Ok, many people do this)? Nah. I like painting it mahself, much better.

That sucks. Truely does.

Lantra 02-24-2005 04:33 PM

Wow, amazing model Pzak! What methods of payment are you looking for?

Pzak 02-24-2005 05:13 PM

Lantra - Paypal or MO's are fine. E-mail me for details.

Wil 02-25-2005 01:03 PM

Wowie, that's a supreme piece of work! Well done, indeed, Pzak. Is your friend one of the Shifletts?

I would love to get one of these. I'm not short on money at all, but I am already saving up for many things. I don't think I can spare it right now. I'm not worried about the self-assembly, but the self-painting I fear. The blank model looks cool enough as it is, to be honest. :D

Pzak 02-25-2005 03:09 PM

Max - Yes, Jarrod Shiflette sent me a few pictures of the original sculpts he did for the first game. He said it was one of the coolest gigs he has done.
