Grunge, I so love grunge right now... (Silverchair, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains) I look like the type to listen to emo, but I never do. Also I'm really liking Slipknot and Korn at the moment. They're totally oversold but their stuff sounds good, heh. :p

nirvana was self-described as punk rock.

Nirvana had punk and indie moments. Only bleach could be considered grunge. And it's manky grunge at that.

Heart shaped box is pure grunge - compare it to anything from Soundgarden and you'll see what I mean.

Ok. In Utero had it's grungy moments. ;)

Nirvana was awesome. I don't care what genre they are. They transcended genre lables. Wadatah.
