who thinks they should come out with and oddworld movie?
 

some of my friends and i have been discusing the oddworld games when one of my friend said that there should be and oddworld movie do you agree with her? i do :cool:

it is rumoured that an oddworld movie might come out in 2009 but it is not for sure.

They said it was coming ou tlike a year ago, like that fall.

I didn't realize it was already in production. Are you guessing or do you have sources?

I remember OI said something about getting done with Munch before they even thought about the movie, or getting further into the story.

I thought the Oddworld Movie was old news. There has been references to it in Interviews with Lorne. One of them said that it was 5 years away... but like everything this is very likely to change.

Are very good news know the movie It's already in pre-production. But I think It´s a massive and very expensive projet and at least we would wait one or two years to see it.

Yes, it is in production.. very early pre-production stages. Not only have I heard of this by reading interviews with Mr. Lanning, but I also heard about it while I was there.

There is going to be a movie sometime. But right now they are concentraiting on the games. Imagine they use puppets like they did with Star Wars. That would be cool a live action Oddworld.

Well, I would think that the movie would come out after the games are all released (I don't know, maybe, I'm just assuming), so by then movie magic would be even more advanced then it is now.

I dont know, the movie could suck, and i would be really mad at OI. Ever see a movie made from a Micheal Crichton book? ( I want to kill whoever deformed Congo into the abomination that that movie was) The movie would have to be of AO, cuz it was the best game. If they do make one, I think Shrykull's theme should be "What if" by Creed. Listen to it, and you will see why it's perfect.

I've got a big AE movie poster hanging up in my room, so I was wondering about the whole "movie" thing!

That movie poster you got was from the actuall Abes Exodduss movie realesed for a couple of days and in very few locations. It was just a short film of all the FMV's from the origanal game with some new FMV's added to piece them together.

I don't know, I would rather have a movie not based on one of the games. Something like a branching story or something, like they did with FF :).

You know I know a lot about movies and film and how they make them. I think Oddworld would be a great movie! I mean look at Star Wars. I mean Lanning can do something like that but Oddworld. I am not saying it will be like Star wars. I am just saying Lanning could join forces with Stephen Spealburg or even George Lucas to creat a very interesting Film. Lanning can be the directer of coarse so the plot of Oddworld wouldn't be changed. It can be something as great as ET was. I don't know. I am just saying if George Lucas or Stephen Spealburg were to make a movie with Lanning It could be a cool movie. Lucas is a great creature creater and writer. He could make some pretty odd looking creatures.

Jar Jar was odd, yet very annoying .

As of now, George Lucas is concentrated on finishing up the Star Wars saga with episode's II and III. Episode III isn't coming out until 2005, so he'll be tied up till then :D.

I saw a preview of Episode II a few days ago. Its gonna be called "Attack of the Clones"... ULTRA LAME!!! Wow! This was a long post!

He should of just called it "Star Wars Episode II: The Clone Wars" or something like that. I don't mind though, As long as the movie is good :D.

I'm assuming no, but they could if they wanted to. I'm sure we would all like to see Abe on the screen and not some new guy.
