Names, Names and more names. That's what this topic is about.
What is your real name? Obviously we already know some names but some of us are reclusive hermits. :p Do you like your name? Would you change it? What to? And other name related stuff. Yeah. My name: Rich Do I like it: Yes Would I change it: No |
My name is David. Most people [online and off] call me Davie.
I've been considering changing my name to Jesus Christ for the past couple of years, but getting killed by some religious fanatic because of it doesn't appeal to me very much. I dislike my name. It's very dull. |
My name: Heather
Do I like it: Well, it's alright I guess. It's a very common name, but that's okay. I could have been named something horrid like Bobbi Sue or Billi Jo, lol. :D Would I change it: Probably not because I would probably make it even worse than it was before! :D |
My name: Karl
Do I like it: Yeah, I suppose. It's alright. Would I change it: Nah, my name's ok. There's probably better names out there though. |
My name : Valérian
Do I like it : mmh... from a scientific point of view, I would say that it's just a name, to name an individual, so it's equal for me. But in this society, I would say that I really like it, because it's a very rare name. Would I change it : mmmh, why not with munchou :p ? Otherwise, no ^^ |
My name is Jason and I quite like it, and I wouldn't change it.
|
Name? Amber
Like it? I think it suits me, but I wish it were less common. Would I change it? Nope. Like I said, it suits me. Plus, I would never get used to being called something else. DI, I could so see your face printed on one of those "Jesus is my homeboy" shirts. |

My name is Marie. I wouldn't change it, I don't think there is any other name that suits me, I just wish people would stop calling me Maria.

1. Rob.
2. Eh, 's'okay. Short and sweet. 3. Naw, I'm pretty happy with it. I got pretty mad in my younger days because I couldn't pronounce my freaking r's . . . But that's not a problem anymore*, so I'm fine with the name Rob. Although lately I've noticed that sometimes I hiss my s's. It pisssses me off. I've also been known to answer to "Snake." Yes, I quite like that. "Snake Griffin." Hsssss . . . I love the name Heather. |
My real name is Lucas.
I go by Luke because I like it more. I don't mind when people call me Luke online, either. Of course, I leave myself wide open to Star Wars jokes from people that think they're the most original heap of original that ever came to original town. |
My name is Dominick
Yes i like it and No i would not change it. |
My name is Leto (Pronounced Lee-toe.)
Do I like it? Sort of. Its weird, which is me. But it means mother in chinese, so, no, in that perspective. Would I change it? Perhaps. To Betty. |
My names is technically Samuel, but in the last couple of years I have forced everyone to call me Sam.

Do i like it? yes, but i'd rather people call me Josh, its so hard to pronounce Joshua Would i Change it? No |
Most peopel all ready know mine
Nathan Yes I like it because it's an easy name to put write on my scripts No I wouldn't change it, it's my7 double barrelled surname that all the teachers never understand, it's not as if I'm the only kid in the world with a double-barrelled name. |
Name: Peter
Do I like it? Absolutely. I was purposely named after St. Peter, as were my siblings from other saints. Would I change it? Never Alcar... |

|
My name is Ptolemy.
:sighs: I don't know how I got that name. (the P is silent) :fuzemb: |
The name's Henna.
So there. I like my name and I wouldn't change it if they payed me to. Mostly because then I would forget my new name and people would have to adress me by my social number. That would suck real bad. As for nicknames: Keke, Otto, Tinytoons, little Muse, Red Muse and the hobbit. I hate the last nickname, so don't call me that. |

|
Derek is my name. It sucks donkey balls.
|
My real name is Róbert. 'ó' is pronounced like the greek letter 'rho', I think. It's a German name, and it means "glorious reputation". At least they say so.
I like this name, I wouldn't change it. |
My real name is Hunter.
Do I like it? Yeah, the H lends itself to good nicknames, but my religion professor says his Hs weird so my name sounds like Cunter when he says it. For beter or for worse, that's my nickname. Yes, the first time someone called me that I threw down but now I tolerate it. And the next S.O.B. who asks me if I go hunting is getting an atomic wedgie. Would I change it? Not a chance |
My name: Liam
Do I like it: Yeah, suppose so :) Would I change it: Nah, too much hassle ;) I got Leeum from people spelling my name wrong, don't mind :D |

My name is a bit wierd, it's Tanicus. Most people call me Tani or nic. It's an ancient latin name, but I have no idea what it means. Do I want to change it? Uh, I dunno... never really thought about it... I suppose a more normal name would help avoid the initial laughing at me stage people go through when I first meet them... |
Name: Alex (most people call me Cole, though)
Do I Like It: Sure. Would I Change It: Nah. And mawk, I'll check my Latin-English dictionary and see if it's in there. If it's a real word I'm sure it is. |
Name: Nathan. Seems to be a common name on this forum. Strange, cos I know hardly any other Nathans in the real world.
Do I Like It: Yeah. It's common enough that most people can spell and pronounce it but not too common, if you know what I mean. On the con side Nathan doesn't lend itself to any good nicknames. Would I Change It: No, but if I end up moving to Israel (which is an option in the five year plan) I'll end up as Natan ('cos there's no "th" in hebrew) which I used to hate but now I kinda like. On the other hand, my surname: Name: {surname redacted}. Do I Like It: Hell no. Its as common as muck and gave me lots of shit during my childhood. On the other hand it did give me my one good nickname ever - Thorn. Would I Change It: Not if I stay in Oz but if I end up in Israel I'll probably change it to something more Hebrew-sounding (an Israeli pronouncing '{surname redacted}' sounds like (s)he's coughing up some phlegm). Not sure what I'd change it to though. |
My name is Dave and I suppose I like it, but if I changed it,I would name myself Siral pronounced Sir-al because for one Siral is the name of my main character in my stories and two it was a unique name I made up a long time ago.
|

PA, the pronounciation of that is exactly like another name. I don't know the spelling, possibly what mawk just said.
|
Well its only a name made up even with the spelling. Its only a rough idea at the moment but of course its going to change. There is no doubt about that.
I am looking into fixing the spelling to make it sound how I want it to sound Perhaps two r's like Sirral but that doesn't sound right eather. Tip for ones self I may be a good illustrator but I am not a good writer or speller. I think it would be in my best intrest to hire myself and editor. Lets face it I can't write very well and I know that and thats why I am not doing that as a profession. But I am really good at being descriptive in my writeing and thats where my artistic ability comes to play. |
Xavier
I realy like it I'll never change it something to add... hmmm no |
My name: Thomas
