Ah, yes... It is I, Amber, Luke's lovely significant other of nearly 2 years and now proud member of Oddworld. Although my joining is all spontaneous-ish and random, I've been reading through the forums occassionally since May or so. I'm not really a gamer (at all), so my posting will be limited to off-topic for the most part. Anyway, I feel like I already know half of you, so saying "Hi, nice to meet you" feels sort of strange, but I don't really know what else to say... so um, Hi! Nice to meet you!

Aww! Thanks everyone for all the friendly welcomes; they make me feel all warm and fuzzy. I'm really glad I've joined, and finally being able to talk to you all is really nice. I wouldn't say I've "passed judgement" on the frequenters" yet as in I already have people that I don't like. I really think not liking someone would be extremely unfair if I've never even had a conversation with him or her. However, I do mostly like everyone here that has welcomed me so far, including you, Oddguy, since you asked. :)

It seems that I have arrived in the middle of a spam/rules type war. (Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but still.) So many good members are leaving that I wanted to meet. I really hope this whole thing ends soon because it's getting ridiculous. The "crack down on the rules" or whatever reminds me of something an evil school principal would say. On the other hand, rules are here for a reason, and they've protected this forum from spooky spam and such. People who don't spam shouldn't have a problem with it, but I do think the moderators should realize it's time to loosen up a bit when some of your best members are starting to leave. Anyway, everyone, just get along dammit! :P

Hmm.. so apparently, I'm not as welcomed as I first believed... I've already made a bad first impression on at least one or two people here... which really saddens me, but I won't be leaving anytime soon. I think some of you here may either a) be resentful of other's happiness or perhaps b) stereotype everyone who appears happy as stupid becuase happiness does commonly come from ignorance. I think it's most likely something along the lines of b. Most of the people who post pointless crap are giddy and such, but being happy is not equivilent to being ignorant. Feel free to disagree. I appreciate people's differing opinions and personalities. Forums would be incredibly boring without them.

Enough rambling (something I shouldn't be doing anyway if I'm trying to show I'm an intellectually developed being). I think I'm going to regret everything I just said, but oh well.

Oh, everyone don't get your hopes up for some sexy type girl. I don't have a scanner or digital camera, and Luke doesn't have any post-worthy pictures of me. a) I'm certainly not resentful of your happiness...Not by a long shot. I have a 'significant other' as well, and we're both quite happy. I know how it is to be in love, and I'm not about to bash people because of how they feel.

Eating Disorder? Hah, my friends always kid me about having one. I can assure you that I don't. I'm just freakishly (Well maybe not freakishly, no bones are sticking out horribly) light-weight. It's not as uncommon as one might think.

Luke, as I just explained on AIM is wasn't you who started the "rabble-rousey" thing. Actually, I don't think there is a "rabble-rousey" thing going on at all. I was just lead to believe some of you may not like me, but that's okay. I don't have a problem with any of you. I like you all so far, at least everyone that hasn't told me that being happy is equivalent to being ignorant. I hope my happy disposition hasn't led any of you to think less of me. If so, it doesn't really matter. I like enough people around here to stick around. And for what it's worth, I promise to try to not post anything too pointless.
