Amsterdam Oddworld Meeting (The Report) -56K Unfriendly-
For those who don't know. Me, Xavier, Max and AlphaScrab got to meet in Amsterdam...
Yea, its been fun. I just returned. Both Max and AlphaScrab will probably still be in the train back home while I write this so thats basicly the reason Im the one doing this... I was home first :D. The Report: Its 12:30 and Im wandering around Amsterdam Central Station. We were to meet infront of the station, though its 12:40 (on my watch, and I keep forgetting its 5 minutes fast) and still noone has showed up. I do spot a guy waiting next to the entrance, he spots me to but thats it. Shortly after that Xaxier stepped up to me. 'Havoc?' 'Yup, thats me.' And suddenly we were complete. AlphaScrab (who I will now refer to as Sander) showed up out of nowhere and the guy I spotted next to the door turned out to be Max. We stand there being a little stupid and all... 'So... now what? What the hell we gonna do?' Turned out in just a little wandering around the city. After Sander got an icecream we started our search for an ATM becouse Sander didn't have any cash on him... it was quest, but we found one after we did a little lookin around on the market. He needed the money becouse we were all pretty hungry... and now we had a new quest! On the hunt for the BurgerDonalds We followed Sander as he for sure knew the way to the nearest Burgerking, though actualy I wanted to go to the Mcdonalds becouse BurgerKing is real shit IMO. But hey... I was overpowerd by three vote's, what can I do?! 'It has to be around here somewhere...' Sander said at a certain point. Almost the same point as we did discover he had lead us around in a circel... we were back at Central Station! Great Sander, nice go :P. When we finaly got to the Burgerking... it wasn't so busy as one might expect in Amsterdam... the burgerking in my little town Hilversum is more crowded! As much as I hate this place, I just orderd some french fries with a giant coke... and damn... it was giantish (New word for the dictionary!). While eating we had a few dicussions... mostly about this forum. Now we actualy know how everone REALY thinks about this place... and no im not gonna tell about them, IMO this place is great :P. Movie! As if faith struck us we decided to go to a movie... (What faith has to do with this... I dunno... I just felt like writing that :P). It would be Fahrenheit 9/11. Though... verry big shame it hasn't been released here just yet... and beside's we didn't even have the time. Max had to be back at the station by three, and it was two. And by the time we would get back there it would be around that time. On the way back we were eyewitnes of the recording of a new telephone commercial! So if one of you other Dutch guys sees a few freaky acting guys in the background... you know it was us . We walked trough the all famous Kalverstraat... though none of us knew why it was so famous as we have better shopping streets in our own towns... this one just plain out sucked. We stopped by at the EXPO for a poster or two (I spotted a verry nice tiger painting BTW...) and all we ended up with was Xavier buying a postcard... ah well. As long as we have something, and oh yea... Max also bought a postcard! 'Can't leave Amsterdam without a postcard.' For the sake of Christ!! Back at the station, while we waited for Max his friend, we had some real plain out fun. There were some chirstian guys infront of the station selling the bible and spreading the word of Jezus Christ... Jezus Christ...... (oh... exuse me). Anyway, us being the sicko's that we are, that could never end up well. There was some fat guy holding a cross and a whole bunch of ppl in black suits passing out the bible. Then there where children and women handing out little folders. At some point (while we are all four making fun about what happand behind us) a guy walks up to us handing us a folder, mistaking Sander for an English guy so he gets the English version. When Sander later says he is dutch, the man give's him the dutch version. After small sillence... 'Yea but I like the picture on this one better...' The picture displayed... something with Satan. Ofcourse... by this time Xavier me and Max bursted out laughing our ass off while Sander gently thanked the guy for the folder. Then we just contiued making fun... Now for the fun part... as Xavier was dressed all gothic like he was the complete opposite of what was tried to be made clear... the word of christ. So... I had a real fun idea, Xavier had to stand next to the huge board saying: Where will you spend eternity? And there he was, A gothic guy, completly dressed in black standing next to a bunch of heavy believers... (don't worry, he's still alive). But the best part... WE GOT PICTURES!!! Sander will have them in this topic tonight :). The Goodbye's The day had gone fast, and it was time for goodbye. Max was the first one to leave, after we took a few more pictures of each other ofcourse . Then it was just Xavier me and Sander... so we got back to the chistian thing to have a little chat before also Xavier had to go. Meanwhile the guys behind us had pulled out the music and had now stopped spreading the word of christ, and had started spreading the song of christ. I don't remember it... and I don't think I want to remember it either. But it was funny as eh... hell :fuzvamp:. After also Xavier left the building stage right, Sander and me wanderd around a little (only to run into Xavier again later on for a flash moment). But... everything that has a beginning has an end, so eventualy I also got on the train home leaving Sander waiting for his own train... And so the day ends... Xav, Max and Sander will provide their own story, Sander will post up the pics in a while. Anyway, it had been a fun day, with fun ppl . "Its and Odd World." - Me |

Sooow! Here's my story!
The Arrival Got up early, around 8 am-ish, and prepped to get to the bus/subway/train part of the day. I got a bus earlier, so I got in Amsterdam around 11 am. Got a slice of pizza for breakfast. Yummy! Just walked around a bit, asking people if this was "Stationsplein" (I wasn't sure about it). I had been looking for them (Max, Xavier (which, I learned, was not pronounced as Ex-Aviur, but as Za-Vjee) and Robin (Havoc)) for about half an hour, till I saw a red baseballcap. Robin had told me he'd be wearing one. And then there was this tall guy, with a beard, and long hair, all dressed up in black. Xavier. We teamed up and started to explore Amsterdam. http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/fcf98ceb.jpg Breaking the ice. Well, I had like, 5 euros in my wallet, and while we were walking down the road that lead from th station, I saw a Ben & Jerry's ice-cream stall. I LOVE Ben 'n Jerry's! And the lasts time I was in Amsterdam, I forgot to get some. So I got some. Xavier, Max and Robin were looking at me with a weird face. "Who eats ice-cream at such an early hour?" "Well, I do! I had pizza for breakfast!" http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/13772a0b.jpg "You had pizza for breakfast? You're weird..." http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/bad40b31.jpg So we continued to stroll around Amsterdam. Xavier was desperately searching for a... http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/de336372.jpg CD-shop. Yes, a CD-shop. But that was long after we passed one. Eventually, we ended up at some baza(a?)r, and found a guy who sold CDs. Nothing for Xavier though. Also, I still had to find an ATM machine, cuz I spent my last money in the ice-cream... But anyways, we were gettin' hungry. On to the fast-food-restaurant! FOOD! As Havoc said, by the time we found an ATM machine, we had finished our circle, and had to start all over again. Eventually, we came to the B-king, and the M-Donalds. And we had to choose. Robin thought Max wanted to go to the MD, but it turned out me, Xavier and Max wanted to go to the BK. So we ordered our food. I ordered a kingsize menu as usual. But fir the very first time of my life, I didn't finished it. Probably because of the pizza and the ice-cream... http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/8ff74ec9.jpg http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/304200d8.jpg http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/9b8caebf.jpg http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/27c17ef2.jpg http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/87cc6e7a.jpg Mistah Tigah Lovah! What to do next? And then there was our problem... What to do next? Madame Tussauds? Both Xavier and Robin didn't like that idea, so we strolled further along the streets of Amsterdam. But then Xav came up with the Idea to see Fahrenheit 911. But the problem was, there was no cinema around. So I asked some hotdog-salesman for directions. "Keep walking into that direction" he said. And eventually, we came to a cinema. Only to discover that F911 wasn't running in ANY cinema in Amsterdam. Right after we got out of the cinema, Max was called on his cellular. He had to leave in 1 hour. So we walked back to the station. SPREAD THE WORD! http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/1f20076a.jpg As Robin said, when we came at the station, there were some christians (Thank Odd my name is Sander, and not Christian) spreading the word. Some dude gave me a pamflet of God. Or something. The pic on it, was Jesus on his cross, covered in blood. Then this guy comes up to me, and asks me if I'm Dutch. So he gave me a Dutch version. And me with my big mouth said: "But the other (the left one) pic is much cooler!" http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/f3bd92c3.jpg Thus showing my disinterest for religion. And the dude was totally freaking out, and we really had to laugh out loud! http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/de9bbf28.jpg THE banner http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/1c81b834.jpg Max with his camera http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/2e9d2eee.jpg Xav posing After that, Max left, and we walked back to the Christ-lovers, and I made some more pictures. http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/63cb91c0.jpg Xav with a cross... http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/89e0c7eb.jpg Xav at the banner http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/3d0a2b51.jpg Guess which foot belongs to who? Everything comes to an end Eventually, we all split up, and went home. But Robin and I found some weird sign: http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/b909f7da.jpg It says: You are here. But where was here? http://img67.photobucket.com/albums/...0/c55ede46.jpg Robin under the sign, making it correct. After this last laugh, we went home. And now I am writing this report! We had fun! |
Dammit you all look so damn cool.

Great pictures, guys!
Oy...and DI lives close to me. I live in Tulare and he lives in Hanford. And SS mentioned visiting. That'd be cool. -oddguy  |

|
You live in Tulare?
Jesus, I'm sorry. Oddguy, do you drink? You're more than welcome to come party with us some time. |

:
-oddguy  |
Party pooper.
Coming from Hanford, I guess I've got a lot of nerve badmouthing tulare. Ha. |
Well that was intresting nothing like a small oddtour. Spite of that redicoulous banner of heaven and Hell, damm that art sucks whoever designed that banner really has no artistic flare. I am looking at next years E3 most certainly! I just have to check that place out aswell as self premote myself and my work. I am in the middle of makeing an "Art of book" for myself and I thought E3 is a perfect place to show people what I do.
|
Your spelling is cack mate. You know where the door is.

I don't see how mocking something that someone can't help is amusing or entertaining, then again, i'm a hypocrite...so feel free to ignore me.
