Another beheading of an American!
 

Just now on the news another murder of an innocient American beheaded by Al-Quida! For those who don't care better care about this because any free man is a target. What is the cost of freedom? How can anybody justify these actions? Paul Johnson beheaded by Al-Quida. I don't know about you but this makes me really angry. The man was murdered because he was a Christian. How do you justify this? All I can say is this makes me angry!

I hate Al-Quida i probably ent seen it yet because of the fact im living in the UK but i do feel sorry for Americans and i think some people especially me are scared for their american family members.

The terrorists were asking impossible demands. We couldn't meet them, so the poor guy is dead. What else could we have done?

They already been to America on 9-11 and this past week in my State in my capital the city of Colombus a operative of Al-Quida was planning on blowing up a huge mall. A soft target, something you would not imagine they would not target but its comming.

While it's true that we should care, It's not smart to just blindly react to everything you see in the media. The first post is a perfect impression of that kind of mentality. That's exactly what the people who made the video want. Hell, they probably wanted this war as well.

Why on earth does everybody have a grudge against everybody else?
This entire planet is ****ed. We're all going to pull this same shit over and over again, and no one is ever going to put a stop to it, not even the States (I'm not saying the States are the only ones who possibly could, but I am saying that our politicians are stupid enough to think they can).

You're right, a lot of good things are happening in Iraq. more people are being educated than ever. The iraqis aren't taught that Saddam is God anymore. There are more hospitals. Things are going well, overall.

But I would like to elaborate on the issue of freedom. Freedom is indeed a marvelous piece of nonsense. For their to be complete freedom, nothing must exist. Our bodies as we know it, are limited to our physical capabilities. And if you think about it further, you'll realise that freedom can never exist to the extent that its definition implies. I'd also like to take the time to have a go at scientists (I love them, really, but...), who are every day continuing to define further boundaries to our universe, effectively removing more of our freedom, whether it be a mental thing or not.

I could go on, and that last paragraph was a mad rush to fit in all of my thoughts over the past few months on freedom, so act like you enjoyed it! ;)

OK. Let's sort this out.
America (and Britain, and whatnot) have gone to war against an enemy which they literally CAN NOT defeat. You cannot defeat terrorism. You cannot defeat anarchy or new ideas - especially following your obssession with freedom.
This war against terror is UNWINNABLE and will go on until the public become bored (like they did with the war vs drugs) and the government will have to do something else to distract them. Perhaps another war for some other reason.

As it stands, the WAT has captured the imagination of the public. They're so adamant that the terrorists are in the wrong, and they're so adamant that America is, and will, bring them to justice. At the moment, it looks like this is going to be one very long 'distraction', but it can never be won. There is no possiblity to suceed. If the terrorists suceed, they will be the authority and terrorists will arise against them. You cannot, and will not, ever win this war. Have fun trying though.

Anywho, two beheadings is NOT mass butchering. A beheading is quick and very painless, the death comes quickly and smoothly.
Now, running down the streets shouting at civilians in a foreign language before going onto to shoot them repeatedly randomly across their entire body is much more painful. Get over it.

Well, a professional beheading is. But from what Stadikk said about the last one [which he apparently saw on the net], the guy hacked at the neck, meaning he had to hack through skin, bone and muscle. Meaning not as swift as one would have liked.

I always believe in what goes around comes around. And this is America's come-up-unce for destroying Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Just saw a documentary and all the American people were all "Whoo!! Yeh, we wiped out an entire city!! Whoo!! Go us!! Yeh!! Look at me, i'm crowdsurfing!! Whoo!!". But now, now that two planes flew into their big-ass skyscrapers, they're all "Well, barbarism. That's all it is, naughtyness!! Bomb them!! Bomb anybody with beards!! Bomb them all!!".

I still stand by my point of just wiping out the entirity of Iraq, Zimbabwe, Africa, Ethiopia etc and starting from scratch. Making it a prettier place than it is now.

On the off chance of that not happening, i'd settle for our country to just ignore all the other war torn countries. They're not that important anyway, just pull our troops out of Iraq and if they're going to bomb each other, sod them, let them. At the end of the day their's only a few who are hiding their hatred behind Religion to get others motivated to kill.

I kinda/sorta agree with you here. I know it would never happen with Bush in the office, but maybe America should try isolationism for a while. I mean, sure it didn't work with Britain and the Nazis, but we aren't dealing with Nazis here. Finish setting up the government and leave, you know? Keep troops on US soil and concentrate on preventing another attack on our soil instead of bullying people on the other side of the world. America, as a whole, doesn't understand the culture of the middle-east. It doesn't make any sense to try to change something that our government doesn't even understand.

It's hard to say what would happen if we pulled out of Iraq, but it would most likely be much better than what we're going through now.
