What do you think of my signature and signature's from others? Why did you make youre signature that way?
My signature was originaly only the sentence: Yellow flub submarine. I made it so that Cool Paramite (we are classmates) would recognice me. Flubs are things that i've made last year, I can't explain WHAT it are but I've made them. And 'yellow'and 'submarine' where just to make a sentence. Now I've got much more. We learnt about diodes at school. And the rest speaks for itself. That was an explanation of my signature. :D |

The EG-R picture in mine is from WipEout Fusion. EG-R and Tigron are my two favourite teams. 'I'm a NICE girl, DAMMIT!' and 'oh no, the Matrix has me!' are just funny. 'Procul, o procul este, profani!' is Latin for 'go away, newbies!'. Or literally, 'far away, o keep far away, uninitiated ones!'. It's aquote from Virgil. 'How my achievements mock me!' is Shakespearian; can't remember off the top of my head which play it's from. |

No, It's still way over the limit. You have an image (your banner) in your signature, so you are only allowed four lines. A line can be of text, a < hr > rule or a blank line of space. You have 10 lines; lose six of them.

Before I starting making my own banners my sig consisted of just a link to my site and a quote (usually from DragonHeart...hehe) or saying...wait...even with a banner...its still like that...oh well..

I think my signature is self-explanatory... I have had the first part since I first joined, I don't think it needs explanation... I am one of the few semi-veteran members who doesn't have a banner. I once said I will never get a banner... I'm not a sell-out... :P
The other part that I have on it now is the address to my ezboard, Random Death Giggles... At one time my sig talked about TOWFT (The Oddworld Forums Test) because TOWFT was young and new...I took it out for Random Death Giggles... I have not discontinued TOWFT, though... |
My banner is there to look cool, and display the link to my site in a cool animated way. The rest of my sig is just a few quotes from various sources which I thought sounded cool.
I used to have a seperate animated picture to link to my site, and my Banner used to say "Dark Hood: Ignore me I'm being dumb", and instead of the lines of text I had this really cool marquee, which was small in size, but very very long. I had to merge my animated picture advertising my site with my banner, so it fitted to within the rules. The Marquee I had to remove because it cocked up on some computers. - DH |
Oddworld's other biggest fan
I thought this was kind of fun to do, as when I made Justin's banner I put "Oddworld's Biggest Fan". Since then, two others have named themselves third and fourth biggest fans. Scrab Cakes... mmm mmm... they'll cost ya an arm and a leg! - Abe's Exoddus I've always had a LED Sign quote in my signature ever since I joined the forums. "I just want you to listen to me" ~ Quitsis, "Go talk to a wall" ~ Squall (FFVIII) Comical line from Final Fantasy VIII ... I laughed when I saw it during game play and decided it would be good for my signature. I used to have a quote from Sephiroth (FFVII) who used to be my favorite FF character at the time. I wanted to include a line from the song and this was the one I chose as it also holds meaning. To be Honest I don't read sigs. If I have to go through all of the useless stuff you guys write then all I want to do is look at even more useless signitures. And the funny thing is all of you guys think that your sigs are cleaver and funny. Well you know what. Your the only one that thinks that.
J/K O.K, to be Honest, I don't read sigs all that much. That's why I like the banner idea. You can get much more across with what's in your banner than what's written. |
