Jacob Nicked My Name On Oddchat!!!
 

Hey! Jacob nicked my name on Oddhcat just now! It was definately Jacob (or Chris or Oryon as some people call him) because he acted like him. This makes me angry!! He also nicked Robins name (Mr Donut) as well! Could the admins please go into Oddchat and do something about Jacob? Like ban his IP adress or something? Thanks. Also, if he nicks my name in future, you can tell him and me apart because:
I use capitals in my name
I type properly
I don't go around insulting people and being rude.

EDIT: Okay, now everyone thinks that Robin came into Oddchat and did lots of bad stuff, when it actually wasn't him, it was Jacob! And also he's gone and nicked Kristens name (Abe Babe)!

yees yes eddie, people impersonate each other. if i am correct jacob also acted as other people, and a person who i strongly hope was acting pretending to be danny. i have told abe babe about that, and even if your banned i think you can get on and just use some other name so we dont regognize him/her. as far as i know, abe babe told me there was no way to hook up OWF to oddchat, o i dont think theres anything to do.

A little tip: If you have a problem with someone on OddChat just ignore them or leave. Then post their names and what they did here.

There were two IP addresses that were being used by a malicious person.

And one that included san-deago or something similar in it.

So there may have been two people doing it. :S

I'm not sure but when I went to oddchat, Mr._Donut (Or Jacob)Asked me for my operating number!!!!!Ask Mr._Donut if he did that please!!!!!!

JAcob stole my name yesterday too. I don't care though.

I doubt anyone could take my name, as my name is registered and password protected. I will always appear in OddChat as @Abe_Babe to indicate my admin status.

I do have the ability to ban IP addresses, users, etc in OddChat, but I do need the particular IP address, user, etc to do it. If someone can report this to me by PM (do not post it here), then I can put a ban in place.

Also next time he is on as me check his ip address i'm with telstra bigpond if you don't believe me ask abe babe, please Kris tell them i'm with bigpond check my ip if you don't believe me.

If anyone steals my name in there it's not me. I can't even use OddChat. I tried it a couple of times but my computer just said this program will shut down. I can't go in it so it's not me.

Yeah the most common names i've seen impersonated are Abe Babe, Pilot and Sydney.

I also do go in there, i think it is best to write down everyones IP so we know and can check if its really them, bad thing with me is i use a 56k modem and it switches IP every time i dial up...

And Kristen, even though you have your user name registered, and i do too, on the mIRC server that Oddchat is on it dont matter that your name is registered. I hate it knowing someone could be acting like you...

well abe333 used to steal my name and say stuff like this.

Now I remember...I wrote down this IP addy down on this peice of paper because somebody on OddChat was mentioneing Kristen and for some reason I thought they were 'what'. Someone with a similar IP said 'what'-type things about Kristen.

repeatily changed his name on Oddchat.
He changed it to the following: Abe Babe, Sydney, Pilot, Danny ,DH, Sligface.........I can't remember who else Jacob typed in
but Al The Vykker probably remembers this........

You can save chats, if you access oddchat through the browser then no, but if you access it through mIRC then you can...

Do any of you actually have any evidence that it was Chris? I'm just trying to play the Devil's Advocate here, because it seems very convenient this way - you can blame Chris all you like, and he can't defend himself because he's banned... Anyway, I'm talking to him on MSN, and he claims innocence. He said that he once used sligface's name, but that he told everyone afterwards that he had been joking. He says he didn't impersonate anyone else.

Anyway, I have not been on Oddchat for a long time, and won't be, either, since I can't be bothered to download mIRC again, and I hate using the oddchat window...

At odd chat Al (Al the vykker) said Jacob insulted Abe Babe REALLY bad!

I agree with Danny, there's no way you can tell that the abuser really was Jacob. If he was using the names of other people, he might as well have used Jacob's too.

There is a way to tell for sure. Next time this person appears, type /whois theircurrentnick, replacing theircurrentnick with whatever their nickname is at that time. Write down the results and send them to me or Abe Babe.

I sent the two offending IP addresses to Abe Babe. I think I remember the one that probably-Chris used. And I definately renmember that IP address that probably-what used because I wrote it down a while ago when probably-what was on OddChat and asking me about Abe Babe too much.

well, jacob has explained to me and it isnt him,, its that guy morphius who does it. i actualy did see him change around his name, so if you would please give jacob a chance to explain it himself....

i talked to morphius he says a lot of none sence and does change his name around, he says something like "the innecent fall and the some thing gets away" i dont know, i think that he meens that Jacob falls and he gets away with it :fuzconf: dont remember what he said

Just so people know, if anyone claiming to be me appears there it won't actually be me. Not only do I not really want to use chatrooms (I prefer talking to people I share more than just the one common interest with and have got to know via forums and emails beforehand), I can't use Oddchat anyway - Uni firewall blocks it, I think, although I've seen other people using chatrooms...

Why anyone would WANT to mimic me I don't know, but anyway, that's how things stand over here.
