Oddworld at E3
 

Oddworld Inhabitants (via their Facebook), Have hinted about going to this years E3. Most likely to show off New 'N' Tasty.

I think it's safe to say we would all love that to happen, (apart from OANST), especially if they show off new footage or possibly a proper trailer? Or maybe a new game entirely?

Oh yeah, The Oddworld site's homepage has had an update with a nice new layout and a New 'N' Tasty category, complete with a brand new image of the game. (possibly from a cutscene or just some game art?)

I decided to post this just to spark some discussion... hopefully. :p

It seems Abe is in front of a big screen, like a movie theater or a presentation...

I thought he was in front of a screencap from the original.

I'm very much looking forwards to what they have in store for E3.

Huh? Unless you're looking at a different picture than I am, he's clearly standing in front of some barrels.


I'm not sure about his new colouring though. The contrast between the green and the purple is just a bit too strong for my liking.

Sweet, E3 has a gem this year. If E3 is a flop this year, i'll excuse it if Abe makes an appearance.

I seriously hope they don't build up hype and then show facebook games. Last years E3 was a bit of a let down :/


Also Abe has his hand tats.

He meant it looked like it was Abe in front of a screen displaying some barrels. I think it's just barrels as well, but with a shaft of light in front of it. The poor image quality is probably what's giving them the illusion of a screen.

EDIT: You can sort of make out some barrels in the darkness, just to prove my point.

Exactly, BUT the background barrels seem to have no depth, they seem sort of flat. Maybe it's just my head...

I wanna say its game art? Not sure. Hm..

And no, its not just you. They look a little off to me as well.
Then again, its probably just my screen, I dunno.

Maybe the skin colour change is after he comes back from paramonia and scrabania? Mudokon sun burn mayhaps?

Is this CG going to be used in game? I tought the cinematics were going to be generated real time using the game's engine.

I hope that isn't some kind of fluke because I've never gotten used to the 3 finger bullshit it just looks so awkward.

You know, I just watched that pre-alpha footage again, and you know what I really like? The noise of Abe starting a jump. It's a sort of sticky tearing noise. You can hear how sweaty and blistered his labourer's feet are.

Ive always loved the sound effects, every little detail, such as turning, hoisting, especially the little noise the boom machine makes when you already have grenades heehee :D

Man, it's prealpha. They'll change it.

I'l be doing a playthrough of New 'n' Tasty when it comes out on my Youtube channel and I will also do a Kill All Mudokons and a Speedrun!

When I record my Abe videos I record them with Camtasia Sutdio. I'm just hoping that it will give me the best high quality recroding with New 'n' Tasty.

Urgh. I know I'm in the minority here, but I much prefer the three-fingered paw. The shape of the four fingered hand just looks creepy.

Because "creepy" has no place in Oddworldian design.

I will be buying New n Tasty, but I don't think I'll do a playthrough of it. I don't see the point in playing games.

But will you record yourself not playing it? And with which software?

You should stream it, so everyone could chat about you not playing it.

I think I'll use some generic webcam software to record myself sitting at the computer, somehow making it obvious that I'm not playing it. Maybe by playing Abe's Oddysee, or something, I dunno.

Huhu, enough.

I think i am going to cut off a finger from each hand, shave my head leaving a ponytail and get more tattoos on each hand...
