Handling Breakups

I got dumped today. I don't even know what to do. All up it's been roughly 1 year, and 1 month. Which is a long time for teenagers. And we haven't been making eachother happy lately and I want to change but yeah. It's just gone to shit. I don't feel like doing anything anymore and I'm depressed as fuck.
I don't like it ):

Dixanadu 07-12-2011 10:50 PM

I have a blog on this subject. Review it well.

JennyGenesis 07-13-2011 12:49 AM

Friends! Always get friends who can help!

I'm in my 3rd relationship right now,

When my girlfriend dumped me I was like "Meh" as I didn't feel for her that way, little saddened but that lasted 5 minutes.

When my ex boyfriend dumped me it was horrid, It was the first time I'd ever felt real love with somebody and when he dumped me I barely slept and just cried 3 days over it, speaking to GOOD friends (not the idiots that say oh, lol) helped me through it. At the time I wanted him back, but now I have found somebody who is better than him in every single way and I never want him back. Things always get better when you find somebody again ;) Just have to be patient, it was a bit of time and going on dates with different people before I found somebody I felt for.

Hey Jenny, hey Jenny, hey Jenny! Guess what?
YOU'RE FUCKING AWESOME.
No really, thank you. Not many people care, but thank you, you've gone out of your way to give me a good answer. I will try it, if I can even get off my computer:)

Crashpunk 07-13-2011 01:35 AM

Chin up Mudokon_Master, It always sucks when relationships end but you'll be fine.
If you two stay friends well you haven't really lost too much have you?

moxco 07-13-2011 02:28 AM

Don't get in a relationship in the first place...

STM 07-13-2011 03:33 AM

^ This is the truth. Why bother when the eventuality is likely some bitter process of heart wrenching destruction. Especially in teenage years, what are the odds you will still love the girl a few years on? Unlikely. So ignore your hormones and become a recluse living in a cave or small uninhabited island.

Becuase it makes me super super happy!

STM 07-13-2011 04:32 AM

But this one relationship is working, what about your others. You said yourself the breakup made you feel like shit.

JennyGenesis 07-13-2011 04:43 AM

Of course, but I suppose it's worth it to feel really good.

STM 07-13-2011 04:43 AM

Eh fuck that, if I want to feel good I'll go on holiday.

JennyGenesis 07-13-2011 04:52 AM

Matter of personal preference I suppose.

T-nex 07-13-2011 04:54 AM

The feeling of happiness you get from being with someone far outweighs the feeling of breaking up.... Well that's if you weren't extremely emotionally invested into someone.

STM 07-13-2011 04:56 AM

Perhaps it's just me, I don't like the idea of having to break up with someone. Especially if it's the case you you still love the girl and she doesn't love you back or vice versa

Oddey 07-13-2011 05:40 AM

Don't people say it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all?

But what would I know. I have not been in any relationship, nor does it look like any are being forged. Still, I would not know about that.

DarkHoodness 07-13-2011 05:42 AM

STM - You may as well ask what the point of everything is with that attitude. Nothing anyone ever does lasts forever, and most of it won't mean anything even a thousand years from now. So why bother with anything, eh?

We do things because we are alive and because we can. Just because something won't mean anything later, doesn't make it less important in the present.

Relationships are important to some of us for our emotional well-being - For me it's almost like it's something etched into my human psyche as a by-product of how we reproduce. They're perfectly natural human behaviour, and some people desire to have them more than others. Bit annoying, but there you go. That's how we work, I guess.

Yeah they hurt like hell emotionally when they end, but during them I've never felt happier and the emotional quality of my life was a lot better - And that's the type of happiness I seek from a relationship. The only way to get that happiness and to find out how a relationship will develop is to be in one, with the chance that it may last a very long time if you're lucky.

But of course you're also lucky if you feel you don't need one.

Mudokon Master - Don't leave any lose ends if you can help it. Sorting out those lose ends may take some time, but it helps a lot. I was able to get over my first relationship relatively easily because my first ex is a decent, honourable person and we talked about stuff and covered everything. My second ex had lots of issues and wasn't open with me at all toward the end, and even 5 months on I still feel bitter about what happened.

Makes a lot of difference.

Be careful who you pick in the first place, I guess.

And that's why you will never have a girlfriend..............

How do you find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with if you don't go through the shit first? Yeah the cae with my ex boyfriend was that I still loved him but he didn't love me, it was tough, but you gota go through it.

Gwan-Thwei 07-13-2011 08:17 AM

I have lots of sobstories about the failed relationships I've had...
I've learned not to open up to people so fast. That is my only advice.

But don't be too slow... that's how me and my ex failed.

Jordan 07-13-2011 09:08 AM

By having multiple partners that you break up with will most likely make you a stronger person over time. It'll teach you to take everything you have at the present and cherish it while you have it... and if it lasts forever, that's brilliant.

Crashpunk 07-13-2011 09:23 AM

I believe in becoming friends with someone then maybe moving up in the relationship 'ranks' shall we call it.

Eh fuck that, if I want to feel good I'll go on holiday.

So you rather go on hoilday then to have a relationship with a lovley girl?

what the fuck are you smoking STM.

OANST 07-13-2011 02:08 PM

Go completely apeshit and try to kill yourself a few times. That's what I would do.

STM 07-13-2011 03:01 PM

When I find a lovely girl Wariopunk I'll tell you, I had one girl friend before and I liked her but we fell out of touch, I believe it was her preference.

JennyGenesis 07-13-2011 03:04 PM

Was the breakup really so traumatic that you don't want to try again with another girl?

STM 07-13-2011 03:14 PM

Eh, no I suppose I'm putting it on a bit thick but right now I'm not interested, the girl I do like is together with a crack snorting excuse for a human being. Ah well, as long as she's happy.

Ah well, as long as she's happy.

That's what I think when I see a couple together and both of them are really ugly......................

Especially the ones with kids..........

STM 07-13-2011 03:46 PM

>_> Well this girl isn't ugly trust me.

My ex's with an attention whore. Pretty funny actually, but it pisses me off when she brags about "how sweet he is".
MY ASS.

Start snorting crack then, she'll fall for you.

STM 07-14-2011 02:51 PM

I already do but not enough to compete! Heck I even snort it with bank notes. No but seriously I wouldn't self harm for love.
