Implement a chatroom into this site.. it might help to limit the spam. This way, casual chat can be had in the chatroom, and not in the forums. I've seen them on forums before. Look into it.

That's what OddChat is.

But as much as everyone would like OddChat to be a great place to go, the sad truth is that it's fallen into disrepair repeatedly because nobody ever goes there.

Ohhh.. well in that case, it would be a good idea to have a chatroom as part of the forum.. that way, if you're logged in to the forum, you are also logged into the chatroom. You know like how facebook chat works? Like that.

I'm sure i've seen forums using this concept.

Or, you know, that would be freaking irritating. Suddenly everyone would change their settings to be invisible.

I'm sure you could customise the way it functions, to make it less freaking irritating

I'm pretty sure we're all thinking the same thing right now. It doesn't need to be said.

Your idea is somewhat academic. There are only two people who implement such a thing, and we aren't them.

And seeing as vBulletin doesn't support such a feature, it's academic even to them.

I've seen chatrooms integrated into vBulletin boards.

Yeh, why not use chatango and put it at the bottom of the page.

EDIT: I can see less spam this way, what with the more traffic we will receive when the new stuff goes up.

Yea, exactly, go on. The chat will stay dead if no one decides to go there. Besides, right now two people are on the chat, including me. If more people went on the chat right now, it would probably be pretty active.

Yeah, I would actually love to hop on chat but nobody's ever on Oddchat.

Maybe, but it would have to use some freaky ass ports.
