What would fellow fans like to see in the next Oddworld game(s)?
 

Since Just Add Water have announced they are now working on multiple projects revolving around the Oddworld series; I couldn't help but think what new features would be bringing to series, I know that if they decide to carry on from Munch's Oddysee I'd like to see some features they introduced in Stranger's Wrath to the mix...namely being able to battle encountered enemies in a boss battle (I dunno how exactly that will work; but the addition would be interesting.)

So; I wondered, what features would the rest of you like to see in future Oddworld games? :fuzzle:

Also, I don't immediately dislike you as I do most new people due to your understanding of English, so don't feel that the opening comment is directed towards you.

I just want playability and the downright difficulty that Abe's Odyssey brought the first time I played it.

And cheers; I appreciate that. Yeah; I was scanning the forums earlier, I can't believe some of the ridiculous comments and threads people have posted on these forums...how could they be so stupid? Well; you don't need to worry, I may not be too bright but I'm certainly not in their league. ;)

i'd like to see the classic puzzles like abes oddysee had, i'd like better graphics, abe, and 2d, but we all know its 2.5d anyway.

As long as we get some of the awesome environments and stuff we got in AO and AE I'll be happy. Both games had a nice balance of industrial and nature, unlike MO which was mostly industrial. Also want similar music too. See, it's not the gameplay that got me with Oddworld, it's good gameplay, but the thing I like most is the world. To be honest... I prefer it to Avatar.

I want a Abe's Oddysee/Abe's Exoddus styled game. I miss the old puzzle and stealth design.

yep, and i love the music too, music in mo and sw was a big step doen from ao and ae, i especially love, "approaching the boiler", and, "war room".

Yeah the music is nice. There's one track where it's like a slow trance song. I'm looking for it now on youtube, havent found it yet :/

I'll be happy as long as we get some amazing new creatures... Oooooh! And maybe have under water zones :D just thought of that now, would be really great to get to make Abe swim under water :) I'm gonna look forward to a new variety of animations and hopefully new voice commands. I hope they keep the 'Hello' 'Follow Me', or it will just be crap

I'd like to see the dystopian Oddworld feel all through it, more monsters, more expansion on interracial society, more dieselpunk Glukkon industrialism, and more varieties of native scenery.

And bring back gameplay-responsive music.

I was disappointed in MO that there were no under water areas. I tried so hard to dive...

If they went to the gym and ate more they'd be so damn sexy. Yeah, Munch can swim can't he. It would be awesome if they could introduce a whole new underwater environment full of new creatures with their own civilised ecosystem and stuff.

Yeah; I think the underwater zones would be a great addition, it will expand Oddworld to a new level.

Honestly, I just think that Oddworld should go back to its darker, more unique roots. I hate how childish MO was. It was an ok game, but I didn't really feel it was oddworld for big parts of the game.

Also, it should be more puzzle-y.

Yeah; defiantly, they took away all the blood and gore that was present in AO and AE...they also censored the Slig's swearing. I think perhaps because it was an Xbox launch title that they were trying to widen their audience by trying to make it appeal to children as well as teens. I also dislike how Abe could only possess enemies with the aid of spooceshrubs.

I'd like them to carry on with the Quintology, learn from their mistakes with MO, and add in the bits that never got put in MO.

I don't think Underwater Zones for Abe would be a good idea. Unless you like looking at lifeless bodies slowly sink into the abyss.

3D Oddworld RPG like fallout 3, I said before somewhere else today but I'm sayin' again.

Underwater play might be fun with Munch. You could chase worry fish to rejuvinate health. And collect fucking Spooceweed.
