Munch's Exoddus
 

Ah...I just read somewhere on the Oddworld Library that they had drafted the script, and even gone into production of Munch's Exoddus...then they put it aside to do SW!! Don't get me wrong, loved SW, but I would much rather have a Munch's Exoddus- surely it would be a chance for them to fit in all the stuff that went wrong after the whole MO switch to Xbox? Why go for SW instead? Any opinions would be appreciated by any of you wonderful people :) Though I am well aware of many of your opinions about MO lol

from what i've read about it i thought it was gonna be a good one.:( BUT THEY JUST HAD TO QUIT PRODUCTION!!!! (lol sarcasm)

The reason why they did SW and not ME is because Microsoft wasn't too excited about publishing a sequel to MO, as MO didn't sell too well. So they wanted to take some distance from Munch and the gang and go in another direction. That's why OWI did something completely different and came up with SW.

When is Lorne Lanning gonna do ANYTHING????? It's mind numbing waiting for something Oddworld again. I miss it. I'd even be thrilled for Citizen Siege now, when at first I thought it would suck.

I was gonna say "go easy on the new guy Nate" but then I saw the join date. Anyway, it's not too late for ME. It might come out as a bonus game some time in the distant future after the commercial success (hopefully) that Citizen Siege will be. That or the Oddworld movie.

I'm not really interested in that kind of stuff. I want new stories.

EDIT: Oh! I did not realize the site will actually be updated finally! It's just that it's been so long I almost gave up hope.

Yeah there's gonna be a new website that should hopefully keep us updated on what OddMobb are up to.

Although I know Lorne isn't interested in story driven, linear games anymore, I hope they make some (like ME) after they finish the ASN and their film projects.

I want to know if they ever do anything with Abe again. Abe to me is Oddworld

I remember reading once about OWI wanting to feature Abe again in one of the games.. I think. But logically, if it's going to be a quintology, Abe's bound to appear again.

i hope they do something with abe again before citizen siege, and i think maybe they should drop munch after they do munch's exoddus(if they do it), i mean come on, you must admit, AO and AE were better than the latest two(MO and SW). in fact, i think munch is a bit rubbish, ABE RULES!!
oh and they better make their mind up what they're gonna do first -Citizen Siege, Munch's Exoddus, or Hand Of Odd? at least if HOO comes first, we'll see Mudokons again, and a slim chance of abe.

Abe is bound to appear again, and Munch. If the quintology is continued, we'll have quite a playable character cast by the 5th game.

Seeing as all three of those projects have been officially cancelled, I wouldn't suggest getting your hopes up.

Abe will appear in all quintology games, Munch will feature in 4 etc.

Hand of Odd hasn't been in the slightest bit of production for ten freaking years. I wish people would just leave it the fuck alone. It's not Diana, and you're not the Daily Mail.

Hand of Odd was going to be a real time Strategy game like Warcraft right? I wouldn't have liked Oddworld to do that anyway. I mean, it was good that OI delved into the shooter style game with SW, with their own twist on it, but they don't need to try every gaming genre to make the games fun. I wish they would make Munch's Exoddus to redeem MO. But I can only dream. Now if Double Fine releases Psychonauts 2 I'd be happy.

A real time strategy game played using third-person action/adventure/puzzle gameplay mechanics. Like MO was supposed to be.

Hmm. No Citizen Siege? Then I'd like to think they now have no excuse not to get moving on the Abe movie, or perhaps even another Quintology game. Even a picture of Abe! Please! Just a PICTURE!

There is this whole other project thing and them not having anyone to work with currently. Other than that, they are just a bunch of lazy bastards.
