What are you playing right now? II

It needed rejuvenating.

Not so currently, I am in the midst of revisitng Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. I finally got the highest weapon-design for my character, but the bonus scores I need to get the ingredients are never in my favor. I've replayed a level about five times and still no luck. It's always something like "Don't use physical attacks" and if I use more magic the second time, it will say "don't use magic."

But what's going on in your neck-o'-the-woods?

Trine and I just reinstalled Civ IV. And was defeated by Barbarians.

OANST 06-28-2010 07:34 AM

How is Trine? I was thinking of buying it.

Wings of Fire 06-28-2010 09:38 AM

Fate/Stay Night.

Before I forget, I should mention that the new dlc for Mass Effect 2 is fantastic. One of my favorite levels in the game.

Disgruntled Intern 06-28-2010 11:26 AM

EWJ HD multiplayer. It is surprisingly fun.

Jordan 06-28-2010 12:21 PM

Final Fantasy VII. This time for the PS1. Have I gone mad? Next I'll be playing Oddworld on the PS, blasphemy!

Phylum 06-29-2010 03:19 AM

I'm trying to play through Q3 on "Nightmare!". I still suck at that game, as I can only beat Ranger. I tried several other matches i.e Anarki at tourney4 and Hunter at tourney2 (who has impossibly awesome accuracy with lightning), but the only battle I won was the DM at q3dm6.

I also can't beat Xaero on Hardcore: I find it way too hard to aim at a ~10x3 pixel blur on the horizon in a very short space of time.

I'm playing a bit of Oni on the PS2 when I can. Very retarded controls.

Wil 06-29-2010 03:34 AM

Trine is fun, but loses steam a handful of levels in when the designers seem to run out of new things. At that point the increase in challenge comes only from increased numbers of enemies, which I find more tedious than challenging. Nonetheless a very beautiful and elegant game as long as you don't mind cheesey voice acting.

I'm playing Alan Wake. I don't hate it, but I'm starting to get tired of walking through the woods.

Mac Sirloin 07-02-2010 05:29 PM

I decided to buy a Wii. With said Wii, I bought No More Heroes 2. I'm enjoying both of these things quite a bit.

Rented that with the brother, it does not get better.

Someone should edit my Avatar with that little monitor in Josh's. Sweet Christ.

It's fucking addictive, isn't it?

Josh 07-04-2010 07:34 AM

The Sims 3. It's fun killing grandmas then making them scare the shit out of kids.

Yes it is... Im currently having severe withdrawal symptoms, because I got this weird "Already logged in" error, meaning I can't play the game.
... And from what I read, log ins are only reset with their weekly server check. Meaning it's like 3 DAYS of not playing it =( ... It wouldn't be such a big deal if it was for these two delicious events that keep dropping presents! So many items!

Everytime I close my eyes, I see falling presents.

God.. I should really stop playing for a while(Which I'm being forced to anyway).

OANST 07-04-2010 04:00 PM

I finished Alan Wake. I liked it, but I wanted more from it. I'd probably play the sequel if they make one.

Mac Sirloin 07-04-2010 10:30 PM

Aaaaaaand I finished No More Heroes 2. Very, very fun game, and I get to restart my file with all my current stuff! Sweet Beef!

I also downloaded Majora's Mask and Super Metroid off of the Virtual Console. Enjoying both of them.

The ending was good. Real good. A lot of people bitched about the woods, being in the woods, walking in the woods, running in the woods, dying in the woods, the woods.

BUT

As someone who lives in the Pacific Northwest, I can say they did a great fucking job of recreating them there woods. The pacwest woods are different than the rest.

OANST 07-06-2010 02:01 PM

It was pretty, and I did like it, but I really wanted to interact with the townies more. It felt like a great deal was missing. Basically, I feel like if the Deadly Premonition people and the Alan Wake people got married, they would have made the perfect game.

Mac Sirloin 07-06-2010 03:20 PM

Why don't you two go take your Ghost stories and lollipops and make a dress out of them?

Disgruntled Intern 07-06-2010 06:56 PM

Why don't you take your meat and high school diploma and make a taco?

Right now I'm playing Chime and Crackdown 2. Love them both.

I bought the original Mass Effect on clearance since I loved Bioware's other games.

The plot just seems a lot weaker then Kotor, Jade Empire, and Dragon Age.

Anyhoo, I did the Feros plant monster mission, then the rescue space lesbian mission, then I could have gone after the space lesbian queen or a new mission where you gotta go to the beach planet.

I opted for the Beach planet, but once I landed I got ramhorned into offing Wrex.

I don't want to have to do that.

How can I save my Krogan friend? He's the only character other then the space lesbian I give a jive about.

OANST 07-07-2010 10:57 AM

You need to be a better person. Really. If you don't have enough paragon points it is going to be very difficult to save Wrex.

Mass Effect 2's story is far weaker than the first one's, so if you aren't liking it then maybe you shouldn't keep going.

Strike Witch 07-07-2010 06:23 PM

Is there a paragon exploit glitch like the one in kotor?

Disgruntled Intern 07-07-2010 09:04 PM

Poor Wrex.

Strike Witch 07-07-2010 10:08 PM

Oh, I found him his grandpa's armour.

Will that help?
