Off-Topic, but, i think you will like this!Copy the game file of Abe's Exoddus and past it in the same place, as a shortcut, then, go to prosperties and go to the target press space and write ,,-ddcheat'', then, while you're in game, press TAB and you will be able to move Abe where you want, with the arrow keys!!!

In shortcut tab add -ddcheat to target textbox You can add -ddcheat for moving Abe in level, -ddfps for showing frames per second, -ddnoskip (i have a mistake in post above) for extremely fast game, -ddfaster for lower graphic quality or -ddfastest for lowest graphic quality. I'm sorry, but I have only Czech version of Windows, but I hope it helps. |
Argh! That’s what I was doing, but it wasn’t working. It kept saying ‘The name specified in the Target box is not valid. Please make sure the path and file name are correct.’ But it works now. Now to have fun! Thanks Alex and Zax!

There are so many fun things to do using the -ddcheat cheat! Just now I possessed a Scrab, pressed tab, moved it next to a second Scrab and killed my possessed Scrab killed. You should see the sprite of a half‐killed Scrab! It’s what happens to the loser of a Scrab fight. It’s revolting!

I killed a Helper Mudokon! I got Abe into the Flying Slig air ducts! There are hidden screens that Abe couldn’t possibly get to through normal gameplay! In Zulag 4, you can get foreground‐sized Abe to walk about in the background.
Also, if you press Ctrl while you’re in Tabbed mode, you can keep a track of the motions and brain states of all the characters the A.L.I.V.E. engine is keeping track of! You can Tab during several motions, and cause the Abe you fly about to be lying on the ground, half way through a jump, or hanging off a ledge. If you Tab while walking, you can get Abe to do the backslide dance! For some reason, even while Tabbed, characters have trouble getting through a slam door. p.s. Damn, my first crash. Don’t jump when you’re Tabbed as a Glukkon! |
I keep getting loads of errors, heh. :D I think it's hilarious when you try to walk through a barrier door. :lol: Hey Max, maybe you could make a thread about the TAB cheat and people can post any funny stuff that happens?

I'd try, but I'm trying to keep my gaming hard drive as clean as possible ready for Tomb Raider Anniversary. But it would be amazing on AO, you might even be able to access the cut areas of Rupture Farms!

How do you hex edit Abe's Exoddus? Great find by the way, but why did OWI implement these cheats in AE?

This little trick seems like it could be good fun. Unfortunately, I'm 'lumbered' (I like the PSX version, so I won't put it like that) with the PSX version of the game. If I ever see the PC version of the game, I'll pick it up, though. The sounds are nicer in that.

The -ddcheat cheat could be used for bugtesting, I suppose, Hence why it displays coordinates, frame counts, and enemy AI. -ddfast and -ddfastest and already available as gameplay modes for players with slower computers (which existed ten years ago :p).
Abe’s buddies play a little practical joke on their friend. Just for kicks:  It goes horribly wrong:  Abe escapes by learning the ancient Mudokon sport of free running:  He also gets bitten by a radioactive Phlee and becomes Super Abe:  |

OH!By the way, in www.megagames.com i found an incredible legal trainer for Abe's Exoddus!Press F7 and you will get a red exploding ring to destroy chant globes etc., and F8 and you will get an invisibility rind that lasts a long time!

Now i gave you 2 cheats, so here is the Third!On many sites (i forgot them all :D) you will find a savegame editor and you will be able to cahnge the number of Mudokons saved and Mudokons killed!They are still working for a version for grenades and Shrikull!
