Aliens- Do you believe in them?

Do you?
I do.

Fuzzle Guy 11-22-2005 09:09 AM

Yes, BBS, i do believe in Aliens, I was abducted on Jesuses Birthday. I followed the star which actually turned out to be a spaceship. I was dropped off in the year 2003 when I found out what computers where and they are rubbish compared to the alien technology.

but seriously, I do believe in aliens but I don't believe that much in Area 51. If you were fired, and oyu were really angry at the company, you would most probably blab and share all the secret infomation including where it is to the press.

Weather sworn to secrecy or not, if you were angry, you'd do what you have to do.

metroixer 11-22-2005 09:11 AM

No not really...But....Wait....No...Nevermind.

That's not true! If so, you would of voted for the close encounters one!

I think they do. Think about it. The universe is infinate, it's bigger than anything humans can understand. How can we be the only life in the entire of the universe?

I doubt there is intelligent life in our solar system, maybe even our galaxy. But we're only a pinprick of the universe, IMO of course there's life.

xx_xx_0dd 11-22-2005 09:57 AM

I agree with the fact that our universe is so big, we can't possibly be the only intelligent life. There probably no intelligent life in our system, but there probably is, somewhere else.

Nate 11-22-2005 10:00 AM

I agree that it is possible that there is life somewhere else in the universe. But I don't believe that they have ever had any contact with planet earth, simply because I don't think that interstellar travel is feasible. Secondly, although people talk about unexplainable phenomena like abductions, cow mutilation and crop circles there are usually easy explanations that no-one talks about because they're not as entertaining.

In any case, I seriously doubt anything interesting is still going on at Area 51. With all the scrutiny they get there, don't you think they would have moved anything suspicious to another base? The air force probably encourages the rumours as a decoy so that people flock to 51 rather than where the action is really happening.

Rincewynd 11-22-2005 10:01 AM

I do, but sometimes I find reasons not to, and vise versa I find many reasons to believe (mainly involving my nephew and his big eyes) *sings X-files theme tune*

Dark Elite_H2 11-22-2005 11:17 AM

This question was asked today in my sceince class: Do you think there's life out in space somewhere? I answered that question. And you know what I said? That's right...I said NO, OF COURSE NOT!
Jokin'. But, yes. I do believe there's life on other planets. If our solar system, our galaxy has a planet with life on it, I bet other galaxies have life on planets, too. (Boy, I sound like a dork...Believe me, folks. I ain't...)

Daxter King 11-22-2005 05:26 PM

Yes I do. Whether they are inteeligant or not I do not know. But something weird did happen to me. I was taking my dog on a walk when she suddenly starts barking at the sky. So I look up and see nothing like I've ever seen before. Its hard to describe and no it was not in the shape of a saucer. And in the blink of an eye it was gone. Scared the hell out of me.

Salamander 11-22-2005 07:18 PM

short answer: No, reason, i just dont

frisbie maybe?

I actually have had an ancounter with aliens. They filmed us through a camera disguised as a rock in my local Park. It was for a comedy show. The rock could go invisible, but then it would be visible to electronic things, like radar and sattellite and stuff. But when it was visible to us, no electronic entity could see it. Crazy alien technology.

Plus, they wrote goodbye to us in the clouds. The clouds, man, THE CLOUDS!!! And I have it all documented.

Ahh, the wonders of weed.

Dancing Steef 11-22-2005 11:23 PM

Well I don't know if there are any aliens in outer space, but but strangely I've had dreams with aliens who comes to earth lately. the last one was pretty scary...
Seriously it's hard to tell if there are any, well it says that they've found frozen water on March, but if there were any aliens there...:fuzconf:

The Marching Mudokon 11-23-2005 12:42 AM

I believe there are aliens. Like the others have said, the unverse is HUGE besides it's pretty egotistic to think we are the only intelligent life forms out there.

Wolfpac 11-23-2005 01:57 AM

Not only do I believe in them I killed some the other day... Halo is fun. :D

But seriously, I'm unsure of them. I think that there is other life out there but if they have come to earth is another thing.

The Marching Mudokon 11-23-2005 02:01 AM

Yuo've got a point there.

ANN NEELY 11-23-2005 03:08 AM

I think the surest sign that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space is that it hasn't tried to contact us yet.- Bill Watterson (Calvin & Hobbes)

My cousin and I have seen a saucer, but no one believes us.

 that was a funny one Wolfpac:D well I'm still not sure if there are any aliens, but who knows...

Biggy Bro Slig 11-23-2005 09:36 AM

I DID see a UFO once.
I was coming home from laser shooting at a friend's B-day. A strange light was coming through the clouds. We agreed that it was the moon- but that was on the oposite side...

But I keep living, thinking it was the moon.

Nate 11-23-2005 10:32 AM

Okay people, let's change the topic: Do you beleive aliens have come to planet earth? (don't bother replying if you've already said no)

a flock of seagulls 11-23-2005 01:09 PM

Ofcourse aliens exist.
The universe is endless, why would we be the only ones?

OANST 11-23-2005 01:25 PM

Of course is a little strong. I'm going to have to ask you to prove it if you insist on using that word. Probably is more accurate.

a flock of seagulls 11-23-2005 05:23 PM

I still say of course.

Salamander 11-23-2005 05:49 PM

well i definitly don't belive the there are aliens in the milkey way, like nate_dog_woof said how CAN you explain cow mutilations, crop circles, and wierder the nazca (sp?) drawings?

TheRaisin 11-23-2005 05:57 PM

Hey Salamander. Notice how the words "cow mutilation" and "crop circles" are in grey in Nate's post? That means they're links. Click on them.

Who says the universe is infinite? I've never heard anything that said that. I'm pretty sure it's widely agreed upon among scientists that the universe is finite. It's just very large. Anyway, it's mostly empty space.

I'm not going to vote "no", because I technically don't have any conclusive evidence that aliens don't exist. I don't really believe in them, and I've never seen anything believable that indicates their existence.

I'm glad the idea is there though. Science fiction would be so dull without them.

Cyber-Slig 11-24-2005 07:01 AM

The universe might not be infinite. Einstein had a theory, that if you get a Telescope strong enough to look at the edge of the universe, you'll see the back of your head. That could mean that if you travel in a straight path from Earth for ages, you'll end up back at your house.

Nate 11-24-2005 10:53 AM

Physicists are divided on this issue but most say that the universe is finite (and expanding) but it's pointless to think of what's outside the universe because there is nothing there. No time, no space, no dimensions, physics, chemistry. Absolute void.

Wil 11-24-2005 11:22 AM

The current model for the universe is not one of infinite dimensions. It's true that you can travel is a straight line and arrive at your starting point, though. Just as planets are two-dimensional surfaces wrapped around to form an unedged shape, the universe curves round in unfamiliar dimensions to form an unedged space.

I don't believe in Greys or Nordics or the United Federation of Planets coercing our governments to form a single global body in order that we might be accepted like I perhaps used to, but I do believe in the potential for extraterrestrial life to exist. However, as a biologist I recognise the possibility that it may be so alien we wouldn't even necessarily recognise it as life. My understanding is that scientists have succeeded in creating life in laboratories that doesn't conform to our typical carbon-based creatures with double-helix DNA of four-bases and a dependency on water. Hence the supposedly very good Alien World documentary seems incredibly contrived and unlikely to me.

T-nex 11-24-2005 01:19 PM

You can't say the universe is infinite untill you find the end...

Anyways, i do believe in outer life. It doesn't neccesarily have to be bugs, with four arms, or human-looking things with big heads. It could be something else. Maybe something our brains can't comprehend?? Oh never mind, it's late and my thoughts are on the loose...

Biggy Bro Slig 11-25-2005 08:17 AM

*Sighs* Someone's taken over my thread again...
