the 3 werdios and names?

I have heard that the 3 weirdos (In AE) had names ´somewhere
(cant find it -_- ) and now i am confussed cos on the official site, they dosnt seem to have any, they just are called spirits or the 3 weirdos...so my question is,do anyone know if they have names?
if so i would be happy to have em listed here thank you ^^

OANST 06-07-2005 09:12 AM

I've never seen their names listed anywhere. That doesn't mean that they haven't been, though.

Kimon 06-07-2005 09:57 AM

I'm pretty sure they're just the Weirdos.

Xavier 06-07-2005 10:25 AM

they just represent different mudokon tribes... Mudomo and Mudanchee and another one

SligLover_girly 06-07-2005 10:36 AM

oh,but that would be good to have anyway ^^
so you said it was Mudomo,Mudanchee and the other one is?

oh and also i would be gflad to know wich one is called what too :)

Xavier 06-07-2005 11:15 AM

the last name is unknown...
and I don't know who's who. :s

Oddish 06-07-2005 11:25 AM

You should able to tell by the hat's they are wearing. So Mudomo should belong to the one which it's has represents Scrabs (in the middle) and the sitting down werido should reperesnt Mudanchee since it's has the Paramite like hat.

Atleast that's what I think.

Xavier 06-07-2005 11:34 AM

I agree with you, even If I know Max knew it for sure....
he posted it on the forums but I can't find it back

Nate 06-07-2005 06:53 PM

I doubt they ever had names because it would have appeared in the book if they did.

BTW, before someone asks, "the other one" is from a fleech worshipping tribe.

Abe16 06-07-2005 07:09 PM

Where'd ya hear that? from the book for something? Anyway, i'm sure they DID have names, when they were alive, but that's another story.

SligLover_girly 06-07-2005 11:55 PM

ah well i guess i thinked it was the names heh
anyway, but i would need to knowthe represent of the different mudokon tribes of em anyway
so far i know that Mudomo is the middle on (in the pic) and has to do with scrabs and Mudanchee is the one who is sitting down and symbolise paramite (...ithink) and the 3nd is unknown?
well you said something about fleeches...so nobody knows about the last one is called?

kjjcarpenter 06-08-2005 12:46 AM

He might worship Meeches.

The Marching Mudokon 06-08-2005 01:20 AM

In the Art of Oddworld Inhabitants book it says fleeches are the creatures assigned to him, not meeches. I don't know why, I always thought it would be meeches but that's what it says in the book.

Nath 06-08-2005 02:09 AM

This has been discussed many times, and we came to the conclusion that the other Mud does NOT worship fleeches. The Paramite (Mudomo), Scrab (Mudanchee), and the fleeche are ceremonial buriel themes.

I think a scrab hat minus the forelegs plus some spines / spikes on the back of it must just about give you a meech. But those things look more like tusks than legs. The scrab does have a sharper mouth, but no tusks. So not a very clear meech.
On the other hand, bears even less resemblance to a fleech. It is as tall and sharp as the scrab hat, has spines, and has no tongue which is what fleeches are all about. I like the meech idea better.

big bro boogie 06-08-2005 06:27 AM

Err, i dunno for sure but, the most left one's got a white (paint?) drawing on his forehead, it looks like a paramite to me. And the dude sitting down has cactus like things on its hat... crone-thingy,
where do we find cactusses... scrabania? so he might be Modomo.
the dude in the middle,s got somthin'painted on its head but i can't figure out what.

it's cool that oddworld even puts puzzeling into that.

Xavier 06-08-2005 06:39 AM

there was a rumor about a tribe called mudoncho, but it was denied by Alf
at first we tought it was the lost tribe :s

dripik 06-08-2005 07:17 AM

I didn't know that they were representing the tribes. But it makes sense. They were the ones who told Abe to go to Necrum. And they gave Abe the power to heal for saving the trapped spirits in their vaults - they must have been grateful.

I can imagine that someone will create the story of the Lost Tribe in Fan Corner. :D

Dipstikk 06-08-2005 11:04 AM

Will it be a giant block of text with poor spelling, grammar, and punctuation?

...Because that's what gets me off, man.

Anyway, I still can't understand why a Mudokon tribe would want to worship an artificial animal like the Fleeches. They were created by Vykkers as pets, right? The only reason the Fleeches exist in Necrum is because they're flushed into the sewers and make their way to the natural world.

I think Lorne needs to either come up with another animal or a better explanation as to why the Muds worship Fleeches, because I'm not buying it. Wouldn't Muds consider Fleeches to be an abomination of some sort, since they're not native to the natural world?

Edit: I'm glad someone has cleared up what the spirits are called (at leat two of them). All this time, I've been calling them Larry, Moe, and Curly.

Xavier 06-08-2005 11:42 AM

that's why meeches make more sence then fleeches...

anyway Muds aren't supposed to know where the fleeches are from.
they just appeared one of a sudden to them.

Dipstikk 06-08-2005 12:37 PM

You mean "all of a sudden." One of a sudden isn't the correct wording.

Just looking out for ya, man. :fuzwink:

Curse you! I was about to say that.

:P

Oh well. I don't think it's really that important. They need no names; They're dead. It's quit obvious that they've been splitting the rent in Necrum for some time, so they just know each other...like brothers. They work as a unit. The Weirdos. I highly doubt anyone has ever directed a conversation at just one of them.

well em...its important for me,cos you see,i have done a series of Ow chibis pics, and my next ones was the 3 weirdos, but i´m not going to do a group pic of em,so thats why i wanted to split em (having them in theyre own pics forthemself) so thats why i neeeded the names (or what tribe they represent)

andy86 06-09-2005 03:44 AM

Just a suggestion: Since OI doesn't seem to have given them real names, and not all of them even have tribal names- well you could make up names yourself, but if you want it to be authentic you could label them by what they say. Ie, "You're the saviour" Weirdo and "The Glukkons are digging up our bones" Weirdo. I don't know who says what, you'd have to find that out.
Or call them One-Armed Weirdo, One-Legged Weirdo and Legless Weirdo. That's probably a better suggestion. Or something.

aow, true...

anyway I don't think they have name, so what's the point of naming them?
It's not like they have intresting invidual personalities

OANST 06-09-2005 09:03 AM

Poor nameless apparitions. No one loves them or thinks they are interesting. No one to wail at their graves. God, this is depressing.:)

Oddish 06-09-2005 11:47 AM

OWI could of made one ghost, but they decided to do three. That way Abe would much likey to beleive three muds got their bones digged and want his help. There more like Zombie and ghosts fused in one, I think that was the idea.

Dipstikk 06-09-2005 12:35 PM

Hey, did anyone notice that the Wierdos changed voices from the opening movie to the "We can give ya powers. Scary powers." FMV?

Yeah, in the opening movie, their voices are more high-pitched and Mudokony, while in the temple, they have a bit of a croak in their voice.

Oddish 06-09-2005 12:45 PM

Lol, can't forgot the croaky voice. Mabey becuase there more serous and less excited or panicing. That mud has more of a posh voice, then it turned jamacin. I can't remeber how they sounded, it's not like I have a DVD with all the oddworld FMV's on it.

Confound those shaky, long-distance newfangled astral projections. They just don't work as good as they used to. :p
