I missed this for so long, can I join? :P I've seen some of those screenshots you posted and they look cool, aaannnd the server I was on closed down and it was a decent server (probably because I was an admin and you get all the cool shit).

I always use the same username for everything, as such my MC name = my OWF username. :)

You've been whitelisted, welcome to the server. If one of the more regular members are online ask them for a tour of the server if you want one.

Felt like re-skinning my zombies to look like them eventually. Minecraft doesn't give you much to look at in the way of mobs.

Could the owner of the large sky castle near my house (I think it's Phylum) please tone it down a bit, it's getting pretty big and obstructing at this point. Kind of defacing the mountain. Not telling anyone what to do but 'consider your neighboors' and all that.

I understand what you mean. I always intended it to be tall, but it's much wider than my original design. It's worth noting that your house wasn't actually there when I started building it, so I was trying to give people space. I'm working on my extensions heading seaward and I'm not really sure what I could do other than tear parts of it down.

Also I'm messing with new plugins again and came across an interesting one that makes lava behave the same way as water. Meaning that you can make infinite lava pools. It's always bothered me that you can't do that with lava, but I figured I'd get some opinions first. Who's in favor of infinite lava pools? :D

Server update
New plugins have been installed, old ones removed and new worlds have been added.

New Plugins
Lockette - A simple yet powerful plugin to lock your chests and doors. Chests are lockable by placing a sign on the chest. Your own name will automatically be added. You can allow more than 1 person acces by putting their username on an empty line. Placing a second sign on the same chest allows 3 more names per sign. This also works on blocks around doors.

After right clicking a sign, use this command to change it:
/lockette [line number] [text]

Multiverse - The plugin that allows us to have multiple worlds is back. We will be using this plugin to support several event worlds and adventure maps.


Removed Plugins
LogBlock - No longer required and was putting an unnecessary strain on the server.

Simple Chest Lock - Hasn't been working properly for a while. Has been replaced by Lockette.



New Worlds/Maps
Skyblock - Skyblock is back. The purpose of this world is to complete all objectives with the materials you have been given. We've already done a lot in Skyblock, so let's work together to complete the map! The list of objectives can be found here and will hopefully be updated regularly. The Skyblock world can be reached trough a new portal across from the Stargate in Ma'spa.

The Walls - A very interesting PVP arena map. The map is divided into 4 chunks by a large sand wall. When the game starts a timer starts counting down. When the timer hits 0:00 the walls come down and the fighting starts. You have 30 minutes to prepare in whatever way you want as long as you stay within the boundaries of your area until the walls come down.

In the 'lobby' of this world you can read the rules, choose a team and a spawn position. There are a total of 12 spawns divided over 4 teams (max. 3 people per team). By clicking on one of the warp signs you will be taken to the spawn chamber you selected. When the game starts your chamber will rise up.

Due to the complexity of the redstone in this map it can't be rolled back properly and the only way to reset it is by replacing the map files. Right now only Darkhoodness and myself have the FTP access to do this. The map can not be properly played unless it has been reset, which we will try to do directly after each match.

The Walls is also reachable trough the portal across from the Ma'spa Stargate.

Thanks to the Multiverse plugin the inventories, health, hunger and experience are linked to a specific world. This prevents items being taken from one world to another and keeps things balanced.


Possible Future Stuff
I've heard a couple of people really like the Survival Games map featured on recent Yogscast video's. I'll have a look into adding that as well if there are enough of you who want to play it. Please let me know what you think :)

Also, like I said earlier I would like to make those infinite lava pools but I'm still waiting on enough feedback before I go trough with that.

The infinite lava pools would sound particularly useful, as obsidian is a bitch to harvest.

And I heard Destro was making his fort out of Obsidian. P:

Well, I built with obsidian first and I did it without cheating. Lava's very common, and personally I don't like the idea of changing how it works.

Has anyone noticed the drastic change in then End? There's nothing but a single obsidian platform. :L

For a legit building server I think that would make lava/obsidian a bit too easy to get.

Actually the creative command is being abused by multiple staff members so much, myself included, that I'm considering taking it out completely. Apparently it's just too powerful a tool to ignore when you have it right at your disposal.
