It was in the manual for Abe's Exoddus - just not the manual I got, and apparently, not the manual most people got. I think Abe Babe got one of the special ones, though.

Sekto Springs 04-18-2004 08:51 AM

Hmmm, I'm looking through the manual now and I can't find anything like that. I must have a normal one too :(

DeBulletDodger 04-18-2004 08:53 AM

I want one of these specail manuels

Very much ditto, but I doubt they still sell copies with special manuals nowadays. *sighs*

DeBulletDodger 04-18-2004 08:58 AM

Shame. Will they bring out a book explaining the stories in depth either near the end or at the end of the quintology do ya think?

Xavier 04-18-2004 08:58 AM

lol you have to find some old editions... since they aren't in the new editions of AE...
eBay would be the best place to find that :p

Esus 04-18-2004 09:00 AM

Oooh, just checked and I have a manual with it in. It's on Page 26 of my PC manual. It basically says exactly what Alcar quoted with a line at the front and end introducing it..

Yes, but I doubt they would have the special manual. Even if I won a bid for an AE with my fingers crossed, I'd probly just get the normal manual which I already have.

EDIT: So is it only in the PC manual?

Wil 04-18-2004 09:01 AM

Yeah, if you wanted to irritate every seller on whether their AE manual had that particular page. :p

I'd like one of those manuals, too. I could keep my eyes open in second-hand game bins, I guess. As could you, if you wanted.

Esus 04-18-2004 09:02 AM

To be perfectly honest with you, I got my manual (which includes the page) from Ebay just last week.

(wanted the pc version and only had the ps version...)

Sekto Springs 04-18-2004 09:03 AM

Maybe Ebay's more useful than I thought.

DeBulletDodger 04-18-2004 09:09 AM

hmmm it can be usefull but can be annoying it kinda balances out i guess

Sekto Springs 04-18-2004 09:59 AM

Yes, it's a toppling topic :p

Anyway, I think it's almost time for a new edition.

Sekto Springs 04-25-2004 08:25 AM

Sorry for the double post, but I have another question, plus I can't edit my last post because it says it's someone else's for some reason.

Anyway, I know Slig masks have been advanced since AO, but in MO did anyone notice that sligs can blink their eyes now? How do you suppose they manage that?

Havoc 05-01-2004 12:29 AM

I dunno... ask Alf why don't you? :)

Xavier 05-01-2004 12:45 AM

because he wants an answer ;)

Havoc 05-01-2004 04:25 AM

Lol, ok good point :P.
Why do sligs blink their eye's... hmmmm... maybe the nightvision has to cool down every now and then :P.

Nate 05-03-2004 01:47 PM

Seeing as Alf didn't give me an answer, I'll ask the crowd.

In MO in all the Glukkons offices there are these floating oval shape things with what look like tentacles hanging beneath them. They are particularly noticable in the Reservoir Row level. Now they can't be chant suppressors as they don't so what are they?

Xavier 05-04-2004 09:12 AM

Zappers... (not official name)
they zap and kill in one shot, way to prevent smart gamers to be in direct contact with the glukkons

oddguy 05-04-2004 10:16 AM

Yeah, I got to the executive offices before, only to be zapped dead as I stepped in. I have gotten a Big Bro slig into the office before though. The funny thing is, you can shoot the Glukkon as much as you like, but he won't die!

Sekto Springs 05-04-2004 10:46 AM

Yes, I noticed that. Things like that really decrease the realism of the game.

Nate 05-04-2004 01:20 PM

How do you get into the office? Abe always has to be standing on a pressure pad.

Havoc 05-04-2004 10:47 PM

by being a smart ass playing the game for a day long non stop figuring it out. At some points its possible, I dunno where though...

Xavier 05-05-2004 05:10 AM

it's possible in splinterz, you just have to throw Munch on the pressure pad

Nate 05-05-2004 01:26 PM

(I'm working from memory here) Isn't there a huge jump that only abe can do? Even with the jump powerup.

Xavier 05-06-2004 08:55 AM

munch can make it... thorwed by abe or with the same power up if I recall well

Wil 05-06-2004 09:12 AM

Zappers are their official name, as it says in the manual (although that only depicts Native ones). I'd never seen any tentacles. I think you might be talking about some kind of electical buzziness field at the bottom of them.
