I just came a little. Looking fabulous!

Also, I believe non-fans who are watching the trailer right now are like "what the fuck is this game about???" |
Yeah, there isn't really anything in the trailer that highlights the fact that he works for a meat processing plant in a really corrupt society
|
Okay, now I'm actually really fucking excited. I like the music a lot, despite the fact that it gives the trailer a feeling of Inception-y style epicness. It kind of works.
OKAY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS, NOW. |
Wil, you should be proud. Even OANST wants to play. Welcome back OWI. We missed you greatly...

I love the animations, I hope the game runs in 60fps (youtube caps to 30 frames per sec), it looks really smooth. The music is awesome and true to the original, the sounds too. The graphics are a bit better than I expected from Unity Engine, so it's great. I enjoy the scenes with scrabs and cages, it just feels right. The trailer isn't MO-like cartoony, which is also a good thing. Furthermore, when I look at the screenshots, the gamma (mostly in Scrabania) seems lowered and look much better than on the previous ones. I almost feel like someone actually reads our OWF rants D: It doesn't seem like a case with the trailer, but they might have rendered it before they lower the gamma, so no big deal. There are two things I don't like about the update, though. One of them is the stone lift from here, and the other is the OWI logo from the beginning of the trailer. Both look very cheap and with made with no extra thought. See the originals here and here. That is all. |
I sometimes wish I could physically harm you.

Wow, those screenshots. It's just looking better and better! And after watching the trailer, I'm pretty much sold! I loved the scene with BigFace reviving Abe, so dramatic. :P |
Heh, the nitpicking.
This is certainly looking a lot better than I expected it to be - To the point where I'm lost for words. It's looking to be a beautiful re-imagining of AO. Damned nice indeed, and those visuals look incredible. |

i'd like to concur with my brethren that Abe's eyes aren't shiny enough. buff those eyes. make em shine. i want to see the sun reflecting back at me and burning my retinas out. make me blind.
seriously though, looks great. |
Excellent trailer and screenshots, I think the tone is perfect. Abe himself is characteristically clumsy and exaggerated, yet the world and environments retain a dark and foreboding feel. Overall, the humour seems aptly dark and ironic.
I really like how much thought and attention to detail has gone into the new levels to make them seem more functional and believable, and how the world and canon are being expanded/connected with things like the bolamites, sleeping pods, and the sligs rounding up scrabs! It seems Abe's barrel ride has been replaced with the stock conveyor belt scene. I actually think it's both funnier and more appropriate, considering it leads to, well, the stockyards. Everything that I've seen so far that's different to the original seems like it could be an improvement. |

Just Add Water have nailed the trailer. It blows me away how close it is to the original.
AAAAAAAA JUST GIVE ME THE GAME NOW! |
When BM spots it, he'll magnetize bullets.
|
This looks incredible. Just amazing. I really cannot wait to re live my childhood :) I love how tense the trailer is too! The 2 second paramonian temple bit totally looks ready for a paramite jump scare!

Oddworld: Abe the last Airbender
Avatar State, yip yip! Cannot wait to see the full intro now! Abe sounded really good, sure they didn't take the audio from the original? :p Again, really, really well done, and I'm excited to play it on the big screen! |

-Scrab skeletons
-Bolamites! Very happy about that. -Scrabanian bladder thingy -First time I've ever seen a scrab run from anything. |

yeah.
you see this is what makes people dislike you, Havoc. |

I like to imagine that if I hadn't said anything it would have been entirely forgotten about, unlike every other detail that was painstakingly recreated at great inconvenience.
|
What would we do without you, BM
|
I'm going to be honest and say that I don't know what we're talking about.
|
The green shades are too differ-- aw sod it, fantastic attention to detail JAW.
The cut scenes look better than a majority of the next gen titles for the new consoles lol. Honestly, well done! I wonder if we'll see a remake of the Shrink commercial. That is hands down the most creepiest and awesomest trailer for any game imo. |

Oddworld, I have missed you. |
Sooooo.... what is it?
|
Michael Bross' score sounds like his best work yet! Really driving home that Oddworld atmosphere.
