And once again we conclude that Morrowind was the best thing ever.
With the Tribunal journal fix, I mean. |
I've never played Morrowind
I've played Oblivion and Skyrim Therefore Morrowind sucks. My logic is flawless. |
Morrowind is boring. That or I didn't have the patience to get to the fun parts.
Lando (my Redguard warrior) is coming along pretty well. Today I made a full suit of Dwarven armor, got an awesome war axe, took over Whiterun with the Stormcloaks and killed my first Lich. Oh, and I can actually do the main storyline without getting fucked over on this file, which is cool. Parthurnax or whatever is a cool guy. |

The upside is lonely atmosphere.* The downside is there's not much going on. *Which is the easiest way to absorb a player, rather than say, photorealism or convincing NPCs, which weren't possible at the time. |

It was on Xbox too, if you still have one of those. But I haven't played it either.
I'm trying to max out my Alchemy skill. This is the most irritating grind so far. Smithing was much easier. If taken to riding the carriages in a circuit around the hold capitals, cleaning out the apothecaries. I got to level 75 on hunter-gathering alone, but it's too slow for that now. |
i know a great way of levelling conjuration, repeatedly cast soul trap on a dead body, it levels super fast, i know conjuration isnt something you want levelling as much as say, two-handed or something, but it does a lot to your overall level, (If your below 30 that is, because it takes me ages to level up now)
|
Conjuration's cool. Summoning daedra and resurrecting the dead is fun. It's not an issue for me, it levels up rapidly enough while filling soul gems in the wilds. But I am interested in leveling all skills to earn perks.

Any news on DLC? I'd even settle for rumors at this point.
|
Considering the fact that the geography of the whole of Tamriel is on the disk, I'd say there's great scope for DLC, even if you only get to visit a small part by sea or something. Those who have escaped the boundary have found Morrowind rendered in particular detail. It's not as good as Skyrim, of course: the further out you go the blurrier the textures get and the less detailed and frequent the trees become. But Red Mountain is there, in Cyrodiil the Imperial City is there, along with the White-Gold Tower. I believe some landmarks were also found in Daggerfall. The geography of Cyrodiil is almost identical to that of Oblivion.
Right now, I'd settle for a patch to fix some of the quests and a way to sort out the Thieves guild, corruption and Black-Briars of Riften. The only questlines there require that I become a huge dick. |
Bethesda's community manager (their Wil, if you... Wil :D)'s Mum sees what he spent the last few years of his life working on.

I can't get my mum to play anything other than Halo. But then, she doesn't have the time for RPGs.
The more Skyrim I play, the more the Stormcloaks remind me of the BNP. Fucking Nords. |
I wanna visit Hammerfell and Valenwood. Walking trees would be fucking awesome.
|
I haven't played much of Skyrim, I must remember to get into it again (xbox version). I'm only a lvl 14 lol!

Go to the smelly swamp town, listen to rumours, go to the town to the north and speak to the kid, go murder the orphanage owner in the smelly swamp town, go back to the kid, walk into another town and then take a nap.

My mom used to play Morrowind as well...
I wish she still played games... My parents have become so boring lately... all caught up in their work. Anyway I officially love Molag Bal :p His mace took up the nr 1 spot on my fave list. I used to use only blades. But that mace is way too hot. And so is he! *dreams of Molag Bal* teehee. |

"Can I play it now dad" "NO! It's mine, GTFO!". |

So, how many hours has everyone put into Skyrim so far? My main character currently have around 60 hours, and my alt has about 10 or 11.
|
Main has 130 hours, and the one I occasionally play on has 6.
|
Did anyone here try to read the Elder Scroll?
|
MM, in the main quest you get an elder scroll and you have to read it at a certain point to know what the three warriors did to Alduin to learn how to defeat him. Other than that, I'm not sure.
After the main quest you can give the elder scroll to the librarian in Mage's Guild and he'll give you a bunch of skill books. |
130 hours? Wow. How much of the game do you have left?
|
:
Seeing through space and time tends to have detrimental effects on your health. |
:
|
I've got 95 hours and have accomplished nothing.
|
MM: If you read the Elder Scroll while you're still in the ruin where you find it (or anywhere other than the Throat of the World), your character will quickly open it only to stagger on his side and have the entire screen blurred. First time I did so I actually began feeling physically ill. Creepy.

I seriously cannot believe people are improving Skyrim's textures already.
Oh and I saw a Link character replacement mod which I find pretty cool. http://www.zeldadungeon.net/wp-conte...2072d6d37c.png http://www.zeldadungeon.net/2011/12/...da-skyrim-mod/ |
