OANST fell and said, "NO! I must pay the bills!"
Then the radio crackered and said, "NO OANST YOU ARE THE BILLS!"
Then OANST was a zombie.

You should make a fanfic.

Dixanadu 10-06-2010 12:34 PM

I did. FF.net permabanned me.

No. I wasn't playing games much in the N64 days. I probably only played two games for that entire generation of systems.

holy f dude, is that why u don't fap all over the name "playstation" like me?

OANST 10-06-2010 12:50 PM

I did play some of those games after that generation was over. Oddworld for instance.

But the two games that I actually played in that generation were Super Mario 64 and Final Fantasy 7.

Mr. Bungle 10-06-2010 12:56 PM

I never played FF7 'til just about a year and a half ago. Didn't even finish it, not sure why. I probably should.

This time of year I have a limited amount of time and resources. April's birthday is in November. Abbey's is in December. And then there is fucking goddamn Christmas. Also, I imagine that most of my game playing time will be revolving between Comic Jumper (which came out today and everyone should buy), Left 4 Dead, and Costume Quest.

So, it's possible that I might buy one of them, but I won't buy both.

Well in that case, Castlevania is much longer, so go with that. more bang for your buck.

shaman 10-06-2010 02:49 PM

I'm planning on getting Dante's inferno soon, for my daily douse of far - fetcheness.

Do Atheism right or don't do it at all is what i always say.

OANST 10-06-2010 03:01 PM

Christmas has nothing to do with religion, and it hasn't for a long time.

Nate 10-06-2010 04:06 PM

Perhaps, but going two months behind on your bills because you want to buy some toys seems a bit strange nonetheless.

Strike Witch 10-06-2010 06:02 PM

Oh, also Castlevania features Patrick Stewart, so there's that too.

You should, it's a lot better than most people say. Also, I hate when people say it's a God of War clone, of course it's a GoW clone, that doesn't mean it's bad, does it? Sigh. But yeah, at least give it a chance, much fun.

Hazel-Rah 10-06-2010 08:07 PM

Fuck God of War, it's the most overrated piece of crap ever. Oh wow two-button combos and quick time events are so original, truly the reference standard for this industry!

Say that when the holiday puts you behind on your bills for about two months.

My dad didn't work last year for health reasons and my mum hasn't worked for years, so we were very poor all year. By this time last year, we were all but out of money. We weren't sure what e were going to do about Christmas.

Christmas is usually quite a drain on our money stash due to the size of our family. Rather than spending a whole lot of money we didn't have, we did the smart thing: each person recieved a gift that cost us $2 AUD, apart from a select few (no more that 6 people recieved $10 gifts).

Hazel-Rah 10-06-2010 09:18 PM

Honestly I enjoy the present giving aspect of Christmas the least, it's so much stress and such a waste of hard earned money, I could totally do without it. I love the food and the music the best (Trans Siberian Orchestra <3) Listening to Christmas music with a glass of wine in my hands while looking outside at a glistening hill of snow is my idea of heaven.

But the story is good and I found the first two really addicting. However, people do have opinions.

Strike Witch 10-07-2010 05:02 AM

Okay, after a long play of Enslaved, I really really love the dialog.

Ridg3 10-07-2010 05:12 AM

I revisited Oblivion to realize... why the hell did I stop playing it, my god, it's such a good game. Now I'm dancing back and forth between that and DA:O. Speaking of DA I had to restart the game because apparently fiddling with the dev console makes all the AI on your party have a tantrum and not do anything.

Dixanadu 10-07-2010 05:45 AM

Did you kill the Adoring Fan yet?

Ridg3 10-07-2010 06:14 AM

Many a time... fuck, it's one of the pro's on the games list, I implore you all to kill The Adoring Fan in an epic way.

Again, it's not just Christmas. Abbey and April's birthdays are right there at the same time.

On to Comic Jumper: This game is fucking amazing. It has more charm and humor than any game available on Live Arcade. I mean, your special move calls the developers of the game, who in a live action sequence clear the screen by karate chopping and kicking all of the enemies off of it.

It's soooooo much fun. But be ready. It's also really fucking hard.

Dixanadu 10-07-2010 09:54 AM

Then use the staff of worms to bring him back to life and do it again!

Wings of Fire 10-07-2010 12:56 PM

I am playing Digimon World Dawn.

It is grinding heaven.

Mr. Bungle 10-07-2010 01:05 PM

I used to have this old Digimon game on my PS1. I was terrible at it, and didn't understand it one bit, but i still enjoyed it somehow. I should probably dig it up again, and actually make some progress.

Laser 10-07-2010 01:07 PM

I am playing VVVVV and fuck me is it hideously hard!

Mr. Bungle 10-07-2010 01:17 PM

I just played the demo of VVVVVVV, fuck me, that is difficult. Reminds me a lot of I Wanna Be The Guy, except a bit easier.

Wings of Fire 10-07-2010 01:52 PM

I dunno why everyone found I Wanna Be The Guy so hard, I beat it pretty easily.

Granted I had watched a Lets Play pretty extensively...

Mr. Bungle 10-07-2010 06:38 PM

It's a lot more difficult blind, but more just a memorization thing.

Phylum 10-08-2010 12:29 AM

I played through the demo and only found myself challenged at "the driller" and the related secret area, which I couldn't reach.

I'm going to download FFVII tonight and spend several hours on it tomorrow. It should be fun.

Strike Witch 10-08-2010 06:44 AM

Finished Enslaved.

Damn, that was beautiful.

Damn, that was beautiful.

My friend told me yesterday you have to protect someone throughout the entire game.

Strike Witch 10-08-2010 07:45 AM

Not the whole game, plus most of the time she runs off and hides.

OANST 10-08-2010 08:50 AM

Why haven't any of you bought Comic Jumper yet? This is a game that you should definitely be supporting.

MeechMunchie 10-08-2010 11:39 AM

Spent a fun evening craftin', tradin' and runnin' around on Team Fortress 2.

All games could be improved by an 'Argue With Kastere' function.

Argue my glorious royal ass. A bunch of my items were missing is all.

Also, I got a Degreaser moments after you left.

Phylum 10-08-2010 05:16 PM

I love the battle system in FFVII. The game's a little slow right now, but I recall that from my last playthrough.

The music is amazing, and the battle theme brings back scores of memories.

Also, you have to dress Cloud up as a girl.

Daxter King 10-08-2010 05:50 PM

Friend got me into League of Legends. Its alright, Im not very good though.

Crashpunk 10-09-2010 01:09 PM

I've just brought Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 (Yeah i know right, a bit late). There one hell of a good game, Valve really did a amazing job.

Phylum 10-09-2010 05:58 PM

Ok, here goes:

Rayman 2,

Dragon Quest VIII (I'm ~30 hours into this. I should finish it some time in the next year then spend a few more years finding stuff every now and then)

FFVII (Which I bought yesterday and have clocked 6 hours on)

The Bouncer (I'm playing it through every now and then. I'm planning on finishing it as many times as I need to to get every character to S rank. I think it should be around 12. Good thing it only takes around 2 hours.)

Rayman

Metal Gear Solid

Crash 2

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

LittleBigPlanet (again, because I lost my save)

Red Alert 2

Project Scarlet

Quake 3 (lots now, as it's only ~6 month to the comp.)

I know I've forgotten some stuff here. FFVII is priority on the PS3 right now. Project Scarlet is where I spend most of my time on my PC.

EDIT: I'm planning on buying BlazBlue: Continuum Shift and Castelvania: LoS soon, too.

Lord Stanley 10-09-2010 06:29 PM

Final Fantasy 8 (10 out of 10!)

Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight (11 out of 10?)

Both games that contain my favorite heroes, and involve a lot of battles.

Dynamithix 10-10-2010 02:38 AM

I'm currently playing Rhythm Paradise on the DS. It's fun but hard.

I'm also playing The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, I decided to pick it up because it seemed fun. I was correct, it is fun.
