OOC: Wow, i guess i should check up on TC RP more often :-o Anyways, there's not much i can post.

-----

Kix looked at art, thought it through.

"Look... i wont use magic... Not this time. The only spell that works, is dark magic, but it can mess things up... In a weird sorta way." She said.

She looked down at drakko. She hoped he wasn't completely dead. She sighed heavily, and thought that using a spell would be the only thing to do left.

"I've promised myself never to use dark magic again... Ever... And especially not this spell. It's just like cheating death kind of. Like taking another persons life, to heal him." She then explained.

Krisha grunted slightly. Kis glanced at her, and tried to understand why Krisha was so happy about using her magic, and dark one too. Maybe she should just let herself go too, and for once bring unbalance. Kix's head was beginning to hurt from all the thinking. What would happen if she'd cast the spell on him?? She didn't know, but it was the only hope. She sighed, and put both her paws on drakkos chest.
Then she concentrated on the only spell that could revive him now. Then she felt a massive energy, stream through her body, and bringing pain through evry inch in her body, and then it streamed into drakko. She could feel feel life from her own body, being transported to drakko. Soon she couldn't keep on. She felt that if she would go on even a second more, she would probably die, so she let go. Her head was feeling dizzy, and she couldn't see proper.

((OOC: Well TBM, It's up to you if drakko dies... But if you do kill him, i'll kick you in the ballz...))

ooc: Oh, the world of the community is already messed up enough! One little spell won't make all that difference!

Pseok didn't have the faintest idea what masa-shoe-sets was, but he felt anger burn inside of him at the guy's words. He desperately tried to remind himself he was inside a tent and letting himself go would probably result in Fisher not being the only one to die.

Frustrated, he turned to the only other thing he could think of. If those cats had moved about without moving, then maybe they could work out where this guy sent Roland.
Pseok: "Hey, Tiger-people, where are the talking cats you were with earlier?"
He eyed Fisher closely as he spoke, remembering how effortlessly he'd attacked Roland.

Havoc 11-10-2005 09:56 AM

Charger looked up, glancing at Fisher every once in a while.

'I think they're still with that wolf guy, Drakko. We kind of got into an argument and well, you know...' he stared at Fisher again. 'Nevermind...'

---

Meanwhile Kaira snuck out infront of Streak back onto the strip of desert Kaira had crossed earlier. If she could at least get her to the ally she was at earlier, that should provide her enough cover for now.

Dave 11-10-2005 06:29 PM

Art watched as Kix worked her magic. She looked to be exerting tremendous effort...
And she fell off of him. He saw no visible change in Drakko ... but that didn't neccesarily mean it didn't work.
"Drakko? How are you feeling?"
---
Streak followed Kaira. She had no idea where they were going. So ...
"Uh, where are we going?"
---
Fisher observed the exchange between Pseok and Charger with silent amusement.
All at once, he decided what to do with them.
"Charger, Blaze. And Pseok, you too. I just wanted to thank you for coming, and ... yeah. I'll see you all later!" And he raised his arms, pointing the index and pinky fingers on both hands outstretched.
And cages manifested themselves around each Blaze, Charger, and Pseok.
Fisher lowered his hands. "Much better." He looked directly at Pseok. "I think I'd better leave. Although I doubt there'll be any danger for me if I stay, I'd hate to see what happens if one of us ... looses his temper." He tittered, and turned around. He took two steps and vanished with the sound of a door closing.
Blaze was thunderstruck. "The hell is this? Who is that guy? Do you think the gunslinger knew about him?"
As Blaze spoke, there was a sound from behind the three of them. It sounded like a door clicking open.
---
Dave and Roland sat around waiting for others to reply.
After an hour, Dave went back to the RPG page.
"Is it your turn to tell more of the story?" Roland asked. "Because I want you to write me back to the circus."
Dave heaved a heavy sigh. "That would be ridiculous and stupid and make your disappearance pointless."
Roland replied by looking at him. His gaze did not falter. It looked as though he would sit there all night if that was what it took.
Dave rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Uh ... let's see ..."
Dave opened up the notepad program on his laptop. He typed a message. Roland watched in silent wonder as these words marched across the screen:
:

Dave turned his head and looked at Roland. "If you're so eager to go back to that circus with Fisher, be my guest." He pointed at the door to his room. "Go on through that."
Roland looked doubtful. "That door only leads into the hall. Don't be foolish."
Dave rolled his eyes. "Who is writing this story, you or me? I say that door will lead you back to the circus tent. I suppose ... that five minutes will have passed from when you disappeared. No go before I change my mind!"
Roland nodded. "I thank you, Dave. Perhaps our paths will meet again some day."
Dave shrugged. "Honestly, it would be better if they didn't. Go on, get."
Roland turned to the door and grasped the doorknob. When he did, a bright, unnatural light spilled through the cracks around the door's edges. Roland hesitated for only a moment before turning the knob and pulling the door open. He was blinded for a moment as the full light hit him, but stepped through, closing the door behind him.
Dave sat back. That was probably the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me, he thought.

Even though Dave hadn't actually posted this, it did, in fact, take place shortly after it was written.
Dave, however, had to take a few posts and explain where Roland went after Fisher sent him away.
Wouldn't it be funny if I made Fisher take off just before I sent Roland back? he thought to himself, smiling a bit. Maybe tomorrow. Fisher has other plans ...
Dave typed and submitted what became post 315 in TCRPG. A while later he called it quits for the night and went to bed.
---
As Blaze spoke, there was a sound from behind the three of them. It sounded like a door clicking open.
Blaze turned and saw ... Roland tumbling through a rectangle of light hovering about two feet off the ground. When he hit, the light vanished.
Blaze: "The hell?! Where ... how ... could you ... what the hell?"
Roland stood, drawing his guns as he did. "Shut up." He looked around... and realized that Dave had fooled him. Gods, but Dave was insensitive! Almost as terrible as Fisher himself. He had purposely made it so Fisher would get away before Roland returned.
Grimmacing, Roland reholstered his guns and began inspecting the cages. "Did Fisher tell you anything?"
---
The next afternoon, it rained. Dave didn't go to Marching Band. Instead, he typed up post 318, his only post for the day. He thought nothing the full passage of a day taking almost no time at all in Roland's version of reality. It was simply the relationship between the two worlds: no time passed until someone here said it did in The Community.

OOC: One profile coming up:

Alias: The Flaming Arrow
Name: Daniel O'Reagan
Species: Human
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Bio: Daniel has been training in the arts of dark magic for more than 10 years. He took up his title of "The Flaming Arrow" from his preferred choice of weapon and has never used his real name since. He works for someone Silvia knows of only as "J. K. Slade," but he is rarely seen and those that see him don't usually get to tell anyone about it. Deep down, he questions the reason for doing these things, but so far he has made no effort to change it.
Equipment: Daniel has the ability to "summon" practically any item he wishes, as long as he has learned how to summon that particular item.
Appearance: Short dark brown hair and brown eyes. He stands at about 6 feet. He wears an outfit of complete black except for an orange pentagonal star on his front, but sometimes he also wears a brown jacket and cloak over the top of these.

IC:
Silvia followed Daniel silently for while, brooding over this sudden change of fortune. This was the third time such a change had happened in her life, and as far as she could tell, "The Flaming Arrow" was responsible for them all. She was confused, though, she had spent nearly seven years trying to find out about J. K. Slade and had found an appreciable amount of information about "The Flaming Arrow," and then she just seemed to have forgotten it. That just wasn't right; but no matter, she could remember all now. At length she decided to see if she could get any more information from him, so she spoke:
"So... who is this 'someone' you're taking me to? Or is that some special secret I'm 'not worthy' to know?"

Daniel laughed, "Oh no, you'll find out sooner or later anyway. Ever heard the name Slade?"

Yes, she certainly had heard that name before, but she knew he was just being smart, so she didn't answer for a few moments, then asked, "Just who is this Slade character?"

"Who is Slade?" Daniel feigned disbelief, "Slade is a remarkable man. Soon you will learn much, more than you want to know, I'll bet," he laughed again.
"The stories say that he came across an unknown power source and, after much studying of it, was able to draw the power from it and use it for his own purposes. He spent years teaching himself to master it, and master it he has! To such an extent, he was able to pass down that power to two other men, one of whom you are looking at."
He paused for a moment, then went on, "I was, and still am, Slade's unseen worker; I carry out what Slade commands, but nobody who sees me ever lives to tell anyone - except for you," he stopped and glanced back at her.

Silvia looked up and said, "Your boast doesn't hold much water; I've found out a lot about you from the many places I travelled, and someone even had a photo of you,"

Daniel was startled by this, but didn't show it. Instead, he carried on as if she hadn't spoken, "The other of Slade's men was his incognito worker, he was seen by all, but nobody knew his real purpose. That man," he paused and looked back at Silvia again, "was your father," here he held up a hand, "and don't start on with the old 'my father was an honest businessman' story, your father was Slade's. End of story."

Silvia stared at him, but she didn't say anything. Daniel waited a few minutes, then started again, "As you know, your father is... no longer available, and I myself am soon to be moving to another position, so Slade is seeking replacements for both of his workers. He has already found someone to take my place, and he has someone in mind for your father's old position..."

Silvia thought she had an idea what he was going to say, but she still kept silent.
At length, Daniel finished his statement, "Slade wishes for you to join him, to take over your father's old position. There is much in it f-"

Now Silvia interrupted with a sharp, "Never!"

Daniel raised an eyebrow, "Ah, that's what they all say. But that's before they get a taste of the power..." his voice drifted off and he was silent for a few minutes. Then he spoke again, but it was more like thinking out loud than talking to her,
"Once they taste the power, they can't think of anything but getting more! They get their power, but sooner or later, it gets out of control; they don't control the power anymore, their power controls them!"

Silvia said nothing, but he had given her a lot to think about. Then she noticed that while they had been talking, his bow had disappeared, and he was now wearing a brown jacket and cloak, so only the black of his trousers could be seen. They continued on the road in silence for now...

the brew master 11-11-2005 12:21 AM

Drakko......Drakko.....Drakko......

"Your time is up and your choices are numbered my dear Drakko"

"Your revenge will come but not now..not until i say so."

"You will return to the land of the living with the powers i give you."

"I...i decline your offer."

"Hahaha...but you have no choice or option in this..you will do what i tell you ..i will contact you soon"

Drakko felt like he was crushed into an air tight bag and thrown into a black hole..and in an instant Drakko awoke.

*GASP* Drakko sat up breathing heavily and quickly.

Drakko slowly opend his eyes and saw Kix and Krisha to his left and Art to his right.Drakko looked towards Art.

"I..i'm just fine"

T-nex 11-11-2005 12:32 AM

Krisha woke up by all the noise, and saw Drakko was alive.

"Oh you survived... What happened?" Krisha asked.

"I... Don't know. I... Tried using the reviving spell... The one you know..." Kix said worried, but then she got interrupted by Krisha.

"HA!! You used yer magic... And it was the dark kind too!!" Krisha teased Kix.

Kix angrily pulled Krisha aside.

"You know fairly well that, that spell isn't made to toy around." Kix said, and then lowered her voice, "I think... It felt like someone else was there... Speaking to him or something..."

"Oh Kix you're just being paranoid." Krisha said, then she turned to Drakko "So how are you feeling?? Uhm... Anything weird happened?"

Kix rolled her eyes.

the brew master 11-11-2005 12:44 AM

"Werid? how bout dieing and then coming back to life?"

Drakko lifted his hand to look at his wound and to his suprise found his wound had been healed and all that was there was his bloody paw.

Perhaps the voice on the other side had something to do with this..perhaps the voice was death..or even the devil.

Drakko didn't know what had happend and was still shivering and numb..he stood up and leaned against the wall to help support him.

Splat 11-11-2005 12:58 AM

Having a rather too-small cage materialise around him was almost enough to send Pseok into blind panic and rage, which might have not been so useful for the tigers.
The fact that the guy seemed to have some idea as to what would happe if he lost control was enough to help him stay in control. Especially as he was beginning to understand what as so familiar about him. But was that possible?

The sound of Roland's voice was enough to bring him back to reality.
Pseok: "Roland! Where did he send you? What happened?" He hed to get ut of here, whatever happened he had to find that guy.

Havoc 11-11-2005 02:48 AM

Charger looked around fiercely as the cages enclosed him.
'What the hell is this!' he roared just as Fisher disappeard. He worked all the strength he had on the cage's bars. But they wouldn't even flinch. They were made from some sort of metal, a strong kind Charger never saw before. They were rock solid, unbreakable, even for him.
'I don't know, Blaze,' he groaned as he tried all his strenth on two of the bars once more. 'Ahhrgh! Goddamnit...'
He rubbed his arm, having almost stretched a muscle to far.
'Judging by that gunslingers reaction... I'd say he certainly knew him.'
He crouched down and sat against the bars just as Roland dropped back in the scene. Blaze already was confused enough for all four of them, so it seemed. So Charger didn't even bother to give a respons.
'He didn't say anything... and in case you havn't noticed, we are locked up in a cage. Mind giving us a hand, mighty gunslinger?'

---

Kaira and Streak reached the ally where Kaira had been hiding out earlier. It still wasn't that crowded on the streets at the other end.
'There...' she sighed. 'We should be save here. For now anyway.'
She looked up to Streak, with a bit of jealousy, so she noticed. Charger sure came from a varied 'litter'. Where Blaze looked more human, Streak looked almost as feline as Charger did. For a moment Kaira caught herself in thinking that Charger would maybe fall in love with Streak, and forget about her. Afterall, Streak was more fitting, seeing they were both anthros.
'So... Mind telling me a bit about yourself?' she asked. 'What kind of place is that? how did you end up there?'

Dave 11-11-2005 08:53 AM

Art cocked an eyebrow. "Yeah, something weird happened. The guy was dead for, like, four minutes, and then he rolled over and said 'hello.' But ... what now? What are we supposed to do?"
---
Roland gave up on the cages. There were no locks on them that he could see. It was as if they had been fashioned out of a single piece of ... whatever material they were made from.
Roland: "He sent me to meet ... I suppose you would call him my maker. There is another reality running parallel to this one in which a group of people use computers to tell stories. And as it turns out, we are characters in one such story."
Blaze shook his head. "Seriously, where did you go?"
Roland looked at him, and shrugged. "I've already told you. Now where did Fisher go?"
---
Streak saw that Kaira was looking at her with intense jealousy. She sighed.
Streak: "There isn't much to the story, really. I was taken from my home at about the age of seven, which, I guess, is when they found out I was a Breaker. This circus is a cover for people from other realities to give their Breakers a place to work. I've been acting as an attraction here ever since I was taken, as a cover for what they really have me doing. They make me Break reality... it's too complicated."
---
Dave made post 324 the following evening. He went to bed soon thereafter.
In the morning, he typed out what became post 331.
After posting it, he decided to run across the street and grab some breakfast.
He went downstairs and out the back door to the "road." This "road", while wide enough for two-way traffic, was seldom used by cars, except during move-in day and by service vehicles.
So Dave didn't expect any cars when he began moving across the "road."
A minivan swerved around a corner and Dave did see it, but knew he'd get across the road in time.
The van sped up.
Dave was surprised, and, unfortunately, stopped walking.
The van swerved and hit him, knocking him back and tearing over him. The van did not stop.
Dave looked up at the clear sky, people in the area already screaming and coming over. Dave heard someone begin to gag. Dave began to wonder how bad he looked.
He tried to turn his head, but his neck screamed in protest. He tried to move his legs and stand up, but they only joined the chorus his neck began.
Dave wonders vaguely if his hands are scraped.
Dave dies.
---
Real Dave has a reason for killing fictional Dave. He'll reveal it in his next post.

Havoc 11-11-2005 01:30 PM

'You serious, Gunny?' Charger questiond and got up. The guy DID just vannish into thin air... nothing would surprise him now.

---

Kaira listnend carefully, trying to make sence of what was being told.
'Yea but... what's a Breaker?' she wonderd. 'Are Charger and Blaze Breakers, too?'

Dave 11-11-2005 02:56 PM

The gunslinger nodded gravely. "Yes. And the writer I met is in charge of my destiny ... and yours, Blaze. Along with a Breaker named Streak. He said that she is half tiger, like you two ... gentlemen."
Blaze blinked. "Wait, what? You're telling me some kid is making up stories about us?"
Roland shook his head. "Not exactly 'making up stories.' He and the others involved are, it seems, telling our story, not making it up."
Blaze looked away. "No. I refuse to belive I'm a figment of the imagination. I'm real. I'm a real person!"
---
Streak thought about how best to describe it...
Streak: "I don't know about Charger and Blaze, but I suppose anything is possible. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to people that are Breakers. Just because I am doesn't mean every Anthro tiger is."
She paused. "Anyways.... A Breaker is ... well, a Breaker is someone who ... Breaks things. We Break people, we Break objects, we Break energy. Breaking is a broad term. We basically all have psychic ability. Call it latent mental energy. Whatever. As Breakers, we are being forced to use our psychic influence to chip away - Break - the very fabric of reality. Fisher has been tearing holes between worlds using our power. And thus, entrances have been opened in places. But I'm not sure why Fisher wants to do it: he can slip from one reality to the next with no effort." She sighed. "It's hopeless."
---
Dave sat up. He could see the sky above him, but shadows around him.
As his eyes adjusted, he found himself in the burned out ruins of an old house.
Sharp pain bolted through his right shin. Oh, no, he thought miserably. Don't tell me it's broken again....
He braced himself for more pain and tried to move his leg. It went, and didn't hurt much. Dave slowly stood, careful not to put too much pressure on the bad leg.
Dave looked around, and began to walk. His limp was more pronounced than usual, due to the pain in his leg.
About five minutes of walking brought him to a road.
And it suddenly hit him. He was run over by a car ... and woke up in a burned down house. There were - so far - no other people around ...
He was in another world. Just like Jake in the Dark Tower Books.
"Oh no. This is not cool."

Gretin 11-11-2005 04:11 PM

OOC: Well, Dave has certainly given new meaning to the term "join an rpg" :p

IC:

As they walked, Silvia noticed that the woods on both sides were rapidly starting to thin out; apparently they were reaching the end of the forest. And sure enough, just a few minutes later they went around a corner in the road and came across an actual highway. It was deathly silent, though, not a sign of any other life around. She suddenly realized she was still holding her gun, so she put it back in its holster which then reminded her of something; what had happened to all her gear? She realized that, when she came out of the shack, the camp (and her horse) just seemed to have... vanished. But what she didn't realize was that Daniel had simply caused the camping gear to be temporarily invisible to her, giving the impression that it was all gone. And he hadn't destroyed her horse either, he had just disintegrated the rope and halter, leaving it free to wander about the woods. But Silvia knew nothing of this, and Daniel wasn't about to tell her. He simply waited for her to catch up, then started walking down the verge beside the highway.

Splat 11-12-2005 07:45 AM

ooc: Hang on, if Dave is dead, who's writing about Roland?

My brain hurts.
No seriously, it does, maybe I've been inside too long.

Pseok patience was stretched rather thin: being trapped in a cage that didn't let him spread his wings was doing little to help his nerves which were probably strechted big enough to cover a tennis stadium.
Pseok: "Forget Fisher, get me out of here and I'll help you kill him myself, and gladly, just like the other guy! Just find some way of opening the thing and we'll get going! I'll fly you to wherever you want, I'll gut him myself, just hurry up!"

Dave 11-12-2005 07:53 PM

OOC: Dave's not dead. Or rather, he died, but instead of a heaven or hell he fell through a few realities and landed in a new one.
---
Fisher stepped out of the circus tent through one of his own "magic doors," similar to the one Dave used to send Roland back.
He stepped into a decent-sized bedroom. Not kingly, but good for, say, a couple of college guys. On either side of the entrance were closets. Past one was a bunk bed, the top bunk impeccably maintained, and the bottom littered with clothes, books, and the like. Past the bunk bed was a desk with a television and several video game consoles on it. Directly across the room from this was a black futon that, despite being very new, looked very used. Next to this was a miniature fridge, and between this and the other closet was another desk, this adorned with a laptop and loud speakers.
Fisher went to the futon and picked up a second laptop. He opened the lid and found it was on. A prompt appeared on screen: "Type your Password to return to Windows." The name above the password box was Dave.
Fisher tittered and typed in the password. He knew what it was, of course: he had been watching Dave for a very long time, and wasn't he the one who had had Dave run down?
No matter. Fisher was having too much fun manipulating things. He navigated through the internet to The Community RPG and typed up post 331. He stood, "stepped through" to another point in the same reality, sat down, and typed up post 333. Once more, and he typed this post out. He sat back and took a well needed nap, knowing he would not be disturbed. And he wasn't.
---
Roland looked at the Eagle, whom he was reluctantly starting to see as a sort of partner. He didn't like thinking that way about anyone if he could avoid it, as all his previous partners had ended up dead or jailed. He sighed.
"Pseok, I'm sorry. I don't think there is any way that I can open this cage... I do know some minor magic (OOC: reference character info), but it is unlikely that any of it will penetrate this cage. I think we'll either need a Breaker or someone unusually strong to break through it." Roland eyed Charger carefully. Charger had already used all of his considerable might to try and break the bars, but he looked worn out, and not about ready to try again. Blaze and Pseok, on the other hand ...
Roland turned to Blaze. "You. I want to try something on you. If it works, it might be able to get you three out of there. If not, then we're sunk. Would you like to try?"
Blaze shrugged. "I'll try anything."
Roland nodded and looked at Pseok. "And you? Are you willing to let me work some magic on you?"

Splat 11-13-2005 03:20 AM

Pseok had been enough in his life to not be phased by this.
Pseok: "As long as it's nothing bad. Whatever you do is fine as long as I get out of this cage as a result!" He thought. "No nasty side effects would be nice as well, and is this one of those things that can have a bad effect when mixed with something of the same kind? Cus if it is I.... There might be a problem..."

Oh, it was so gonna come out now. Well done Pseok. Might as well say bye bye.

Havoc 11-13-2005 08:42 AM

Kaira was halfway confused. She hardly knew anything about this sorta stuff.
'So... you can like, send people to other... realities... or something?' she ponderd for a moment. 'Is that what that guy did to the gunslinger?'

---

'Hey hey!' Charger reacted when hearing the word magic. 'Gunny! You know what you're doing right?! I don't feel like being a roasted pile of fur in a minute...'

Dave 11-13-2005 01:23 PM

Roland looked back at Charger. "I know what I am doing. What I am about to do I have done hundreds of times. It is almost like hypnosis ... but only in the way that you have no recollection of what has happened to you once you've done it, as you were 'asleep.' Are you ready to try?"
---
Streak shook her head. "No, I don't send people between worlds. Not directly, anyway. You're thinking of Fisher making people disappear. What I and other Breakers do is tear holes through reality, which people can accidentally wander through. Fisher hopes to tear enough holes in enough places so that things will just collapse. But who is this gunslinger? Is there a gunsilnger here?"
---
Dave followed the road and found that much of the town he was in was in ruins. As he reached the outside of the town he passed by a largeish mansion that looked relatively untouched.
Dave was starting to have a sneaking suspicion about where he had been sent.

Havoc 11-14-2005 10:09 AM

Kaira nodded.
'Yea, I think so. I've heard him being called the gunslinger a lot, anyway.'

---

'This had better work...' Charger mumbled as he sat back down and leaned his head back against one of the bars.

Dave 11-14-2005 12:55 PM

The gunslinger took a single bullet from his belt and stepped towards Blaze's cage first.
He raised the bullet on the backs of his fingers, then started to pump his knuckles in sequence, making the bullet appear to roll back and forth along the back of the gunslinger's hand.
Blaze watched it. "Hey, that's neat."
Roland nodded. "Yes. Are you feeling a little tired?"
Blaze suddenly looked tired, indeed. "Very. Is this your magic? It's cool."
Roland nodded impatiently. "Yes. Now be quiet. When I tell you to wake up, you're going to be at the peak of your physical strength. You will want to break the bars on your cage with your bare hands, and you are going to. Do you understand?"
Blaze nodded absently, his eyes never leaving the bullet.
Roland went on. "I must warn you, chances are good that you will be so tired after exerting yourself to break this cage, you will not want to move. If this happens, would you like me to hypnotize you again then so you do not feel fatigued?"
Blaze shrugged. "Okay."
Roland nodded. "Good. Now wake up."
Blaze's eyes flashed with realization. He seemed suddenly unable to sit still. He took a step forward and grasped two of the bars on his cage. He began to try and pull them apart.
For a few moments, nothing seemed to be happening. Not enough Roland thought dismally. I'll have to get Pseok out to help the others.
Roland turned to Pseok, and began rolling the bullet again. "Pseok. See me very well. Are you feeling tired?"
---
Streak has worried. If there was a gunslinger about, Fisher would have likely left by now. And he likely knew that she was gone, as well; he would have taken all the Breakers he could with him, and when he found Streak missing, it would mean trouble for her.
---
Fisher took a moment to reread the last few posts. He had to admit, between himself and Dave, quite a complicated mess had been made of this story.
He only wondered what happened to Dave.
---
Dave had walked down the road until sunset. He reached a new town, and knocked on the door of the first friendly house he had seen.
A middle aged woman answered the door. "Hello?"
Dave smiled his best You're-an-elder-and-a-stranger-so-let's-be-careful smile. "Hi there. I'm a little lost ... and, uh, I have to get online. I need a computer."
The woman looked skeptical. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be inviting strange boys into the house." And she closed the door.

Havoc 11-14-2005 01:37 PM

OOC:

:

quite a complicated mess had been made of this story.
Gee no shit sherlock :P.

Charger stared at Blaze as he worked on the bars.

'Eh... hey you okay, bro?' he asked, and turned around to view Pseok for a bit. Something made him feel realy akward, something wasn't right with that oversized bird.
It was just a gut feeling, but that never let him down so far...
Just to be sure, he secured himself in the corner of his cage, brasing himself for what might be coming.

Splat 11-15-2005 02:08 AM

Pseok momentarily considered saying he wasn't sleepy, just to be anoying, but then decided he felt too tired to actually do anything. And the way Roland was flicking that bullet about was pretty wierd.
Pseok; "Uh, yeah... I guess..."

ooc: Damn, bell rang, gotta go, sry dudes.

Havoc 11-17-2005 07:02 AM

OOC: Earth to Dave...

Dave 11-17-2005 12:32 PM

OOC: Whoops. I guess I was waiting for TBM or T-Nex to come back...
---
Fisher spent several days about Dave's campus. On a rather boring Thursday afternoon he returned to TC RPG to see what was up.
---
Roland continued to roll the bullet. "Fine. I'm going to tell you to wake up, and you're going to ..." Roland had to be careful of how to word this. He suspected something hidden inside the Eagle, some behemoth strength ... but he didn't want it out of control. "... you're going to unleash all of your greatest strength, but hear me very well: I want you in control of yourself. Now, wake up!"
---
Dave walked until he found a large building with the word Library Carved into the front. Libraries meant computers.
Dave marched in and up to the front check-out desk.
Dave: "I want to get online. I need a computer!" (OOC: In response to Havoc's new sig)
The librarian cocked an eyebrow. "Go on. They're in the room off to your left."

Splat 11-18-2005 01:20 AM

ooc: ...I don't get it. What did I miss?

Roland didn't know what he was getting himself in for.
As soon as he finished his speech, "Now, wake up." Pseok burst into flames.

No, literally, we don't do things by half in the bursting into flames department.

Given a few seconds to get over their initial shock, the others in the room may have noticed that the fire seemed to be forming the shape of Pseok, and that his beak and feet were beginning to emerge from the flames. If fact, they might have noticed that it began to seem that instead of simple being on fire, it looked as if only his feathers were on fire, or that they were fire. In fact, it also began to seem that his claws and beak were golden in colour, instead of the standard colour scheme.

And if Fisher decided to keep reading this post, he would have found... a bio.

Name: Ettether, Lord of Flames
Age: A few hours at most if you're thinking collectively
Gender: Male
Species: Phoenix
Appearance: Big firey bird with feathers of flame and beak and claws of rock-meltingly hot gold.
Backstory: The result of some bizarre experimentation on Pseok by an evil nutter who looked rather similar to Fisher, Ettether generally emerges from Pseok in phoenix form everytime Pseok gets angry or is in danger. As a phoenix, he has ahabit of burning anything that can burn (a side effect of being made largely of fire) and melting anyhing that can't stand the heat of his claws or beak. Ettether will remain in conrol of Pseok's body as long as there is danger. It takes a lot of water to begin to hurt him.
Unfortunately for Pseok, once the danger has gone, Pseok takes control of the body but won't turn back into the great eagle body for some time, so he's prone to...accidents.

There is danger... There is trouble... I shall take control... This form is mine...

For a few seconds Pseok was terrifyingly aware of being in a body that would burn everything it touched. Then suddenly he felt the push of another mind attempting to take control, and he was unable to resist, not that it would make much difference any more.

Ettether emerged with a grim feeling of uncontrollable power. With heat that would be anbarable to any other creature, Ettether reached towards the bars of the cage and bit down on them with his beak, feeling the metal melt under his touch. It didn't take long to break the bar off by melting it lower to its base, and then several more bars followed until he spread his wings and flew out of the cage.

Then, being an honourable bloke, flew down to Charger's cage and, clinging onto the bars at the bottom of the cage with talons as hotas his beak, he continued to repeatnthe process on the cage, ignoring anything Charger might be doing, except to make sure he didn't touch the tiger-human with his flaming feathers. In less than a minute enough bars from the front of the cage weregone and Esether flew back towards the second tiger-man's cage. Within 5 minutes all three of the rpisoners had been carefully set free, everyone was completely unharmed and not a thing was burned that sohuldn't have been.

The danger has passed... It is over... You may return...

Pseok spentafew seconds trying to comprehend what was happening. It didn't take long for him to recognise the heat throughout his body that normally would have been unbearable pain but was now more of a comfortable warmth.

To the onlookers, they simply saw the phoenix stop, hovering uncertainly in the air for several seconds before turning towards Roland and saying in a voice that definatly seem to match the flaming body, Pseok's voice,
Pseok: "Dammit, Roland, I didn't agree to this."

It was all over now. He wondered how long he could go before accidentally setting the tent on fire.

ooc: Using arubbish keyboard at school again so please ignore any mistakes, i tried to remove as many as I could. Wow, that's a long one, took me 40 minutes to type up!

Dave 11-20-2005 02:31 PM

Roland shrugged and said nothing. What Pseok did or didn't agree to didn't matter at this point. At least they were all out of the cage.
Blaze, meanwhile, was feeling quite ill. The effects of the hypnotism were wearing off, and Blaze was losing strength.
"I don't feel ... good ...." he mumbled, and collapsed.
---
Dave went to the computer and looked up TCRPG.
He was astounded to see that he had, in fact, become a character in the story.
And Fisher was writing for him now. But, judging by what Fisher was writing, and the fact that Fisher hadn't already written his way to a victory, Dave thought Fisher might be up to something.

Havoc 11-20-2005 03:01 PM

OOC: You better watch out that you don't get entangled in your own story plots, Dave. :P.

Charger's jaws hung open as he saw Pseok burst out into flames, into pure rage. He swallowed and stared unbroken to the bird as he melted the cage as if it was nothing. He got scared for a moment when the bird came flying over to him. Charger knew at which temperatures metal would melt the way it just did, and to have that heat so close to him wasn't exactly nice.
'Ahh!! Watch it! Would ya!' he yelled as he ducked down as far as he could, covering his eyes and face with his arm. He felt the burning warmth on his fur.
'Damn this is hot! Ahh!'
He dared to look up when the absolute heat made room for a colder breeze. Freezing, compared to what he just had to go trough. But when he looked up, he saw that the cage indeed has now melted an opening. He looked over to Blaze, to see how he would cope with the heat, and the proceeded to climb out the cage.
'AAAH!!! Goddamnit!!' he screamed as he wildly shook his paw everywhere and blew on it. He was still standing in the cage. 'Ahh!! Hot! Hot!'

---

Kaira stared over at the tent for a bit, not being able to see what was going on inside from that distance.
'You think they are alright?' she asked.

Splat 11-21-2005 12:56 AM

On Pseok's graph of how much he liked people, Roland had just dropped off the bottom. The human had no idea what he had just put himself into.
Still stuck as a phoenix, he groaned when Blaze lost consciousness.
Pseok: "Oh Air, he's gonna die! Unless you get him out of this tent right now he's gonna die! This thing'll be up in a minute and it'll all be over!"
He could already feel himself growing tired from floating in the air unmoving. He was already despairing by learned instinct and now one of those guys was unconscious there was basically no point in them trying to get out in time. His body actually seemed to be growing tired, faster than it should have been. He felt completely drained, very different from the way tiredness slowly crept up on him when he felt so strong, as it usually did when this happened.
He swayed, struggling to stay up.
He whined: "Roland... what did you do to me?" He swayed and dropped a few metres closer to the flamable-looking floor. He felt so tired... why should he even bother to stay up?
His flaming feathers were less than a metre from setting the tent alight.

Havoc 11-21-2005 02:23 AM

While Charger was still busy getting his burned paw back in shape, he noticed how the flames got extremely close to the tent.
'Ah shit!' he yelled as he jumped up and faced Roland. 'Roland! Get Blaze! We need to get out of here!'
He proceeded to make another attempt at climbing out, burning his paws or not. With the pain glowing over his face he pulled himself up on the still red glowing melted bars. Crunching his teeth as the heat seemed to melt the fur of his arms.

Dave 11-21-2005 07:18 AM

Things finally clicked in Roland's head. This was not good.
He was at Blaze's side in a flash. He knelt and began lifting the big man onto his shoulders. After a few awkward attempts he managed a shaky standing position, with Blaze draped over his back.
Roland turned to Charger, who was struggling out of his cage and trying not to burn himself. "Charger. Burns will heal. I suggest you get out of that cage as quickly as possible. Pseok doesn't appear able to sustain himself much longer, and while he might survive if this tent burns down, we certainly won't."
With this, Roland began to hobble towards the exit, Blaze on his back.
---
Streak rubbed her forehead. "... no. Something doesn't feel right. I'm getting a feeling ... a bad one. We need to go back."
---
Dave was satisfied. Now able to write his own posts, he could send Streak in to save Blaze and the others. Who ever said a duex en machina was bad?
Dave heard a door open behind him, but didn't register it ...
until Fisher's hand clamped down on his shoulder.

Havoc 11-21-2005 08:42 AM

'I'm coming, I'm coming!' Charger groaned as he jumped onto the ground. He ran after Roland as fast as he could and helped him with Blaze when he caught up. He looked over his shoulder to Pseok one more time before the reached the exit. The thing was about to burn down...

---

'Go back? Are you nuts? That will put us all at risk...' Kaira said.

Splat 11-21-2005 09:46 AM

Seeing as how the whole experience with Rolan'd magic had sent Blaze into unconsciousness, it wasn't to surprising that Pseok was now slipping into the same loss of awareness, even if the effect hadn't had such an obvious effect on Blaze as it had on Pseok.

Overtaken by tiredness and oblivious to the others rushing towards the exit of the tent, the burning phoenix that currently was Pseok slipped into sleep and dropped to the floor of the tent. Fire wasted no time in spreading from his burning feathers to the floor of the tent and spreading outwards, onto the walls, onto the beams that supported the tent. In a few seconds the Taheen's cover would be burning to the ground. They might not have been so pleased about this.

ooc: Don't keep Blaze asleep too long Dave! I can't really expect Pseok to wake up before he does.

Dave 11-22-2005 05:36 AM

Roland led Blaze and Charger out of the tent just as it caught fire.
Panic erupted in the visitors at the "cirucs." It occured to Roland that destroying the cirucs was, in effect, destroying the base of operations for Fisher and the Breakers.
Roland smiled a little. He felt Blaze shifting on his back, and, after getting a safe distance away from the fire, he set him down.
Blaze was beginning to come to. He wasn't definately aware of what was happening, but he certainly had regained consciousness.
---
Dave left the computer behind to look for a map or some other indication that would prove to him where he was.
He didn't have to go far to find a newspaper bin. He plucked one out and consulted the date. August 28. So he had jumped back a while from the date in his own world.
He scanned the paper for articles ... and found one that confirmed his suspicions.
"Recent disappearance of neighboring Community raises questions."
---
Streak nodded. "Yes. I'm getting a feeling about this ... let's go."
And without a word, she began to walk back towards the circus.

Havoc 11-26-2005 08:02 AM

Kaira nodded with slight doubt and followed Streak. But Kaira gasped when she suddenly saw the tent erupt in flames.
'Oh my god! Whats going on over there?!' she screamed, and ran infront of Streak upto the tent.

---

Charger looked over his shoulder to the burning tent when they were at a safe distance. He coughed due to some smoke he inhaled.
'Right... now that thats over with...' he turned to Roland. 'Mind telling me what the hell you got us into?'

Dave 11-26-2005 01:15 PM

Roland sighed. He looked up and noted the tiger, followed by what appeared to be another anthro tiger, moving towards them.
Streak followed Kaira and stopped when she saw Blaze and Charger.
Before she could say anything, Roland spoke. "Yes, they are related to you. But now is not the time." He turns to Charger. "And this is not the place to discuss this. We must leave this dead place."
Blaze had come around in time to hear this. "Gunslinger man..." he mumbled groggily. "You've made a mess of things... you know."
Roland froze and made a visible effort to restrain himself. He was more shaken by the whole thing than the others could guess. "I do know. And if that fool Dave knows what he's doing, he'll find a way to remedy this. Now we must get moving."

Splat 11-27-2005 07:39 AM

ooc: Rent-a-character, thought I'd give you something a little different.

A news-reporter sitting on a small but comfortable leather sofa behind a desk shuffled his papers and turned to face a camera as it centred on him.
Reporter: "Good evening, and welcome to the Los Santos Afternoon News "(insert cheesy tune)". The Bobby Fisher Circus to the west of our city has been caught in an unexpained fire today and the, uh, 'Big Top' has been burnt to the ground. As the circus rests on privately owned land, the emergency services were not able to reach the scene without permission, which they failed to get from the landowner. Though Robert Fisher, the owner of the circus was unable to comment, one of the workers, a Mr Benvolio, informed us that the blaze was under control and no one was hurt. The police are on the look out for two men dressed in tiger suits who were reportedly seen approaching the circus with one of the workers.
In other news, the body of some sort of half-bull-half-man has been found at the Los Santos Airport being pecked at by a giant bird of prey, apparently having died from a bullet wound to the head," (ooc: post 199, Grak, we hardly new ye.) "Jeff Lisbourn is on the scene..."

Pseok slowly regained consciousness to find himself still as a phoenix and lying under a pile of ash and tortured metal. Above him he could still hear the tent burning slowly. With a despairing sigh, he wondered vaguely if the tiger-people and Roland had escaped, and what he'd do with himself now. He might as well give up with trying to stick with other people, he just could'nt keep himself from transforming and probably killing helpless people.

Havoc 11-29-2005 04:54 PM

'Charger! Are you alright?!' Kaira shouted and ran up to him.
Charger in turn was pushed back a few steps when she leaped up to him.
'Yes yes... I'm fine,' he said and gave her a small kiss on her nose. 'Thanks for askin'.'
He looked over to Streak, noting she looked similar to himself. He started to check her out, like a guy would check out a girl in a club. From bottom to top, from top to bottom. He rose an eyebrow and smirked, at which Kaira, who was still leaning against him, growled at him.
'She's your sister, you fool!' she hissed.
Charger snapped out of his little escapade. She was his sister... d'oh! Stupid...
'Uh... sorry,' he said to Kaira and pulled a nervous and sarcastic grin. She leaped back to the ground and snorted. Then she went to check up on Blaze.

'So,' Charger said. 'You're our long lost sister then?'
He reached out a paw.
'I'm Charger, you're eh... older?... brother...'

Dave 12-02-2005 09:36 AM

Streak looked at Charger's outstretched hand, then up at him.
"Are you? Isn't that nice." And she turned back to Kaira. "And are youmy sister? Whatever. You guys will likely want to use me, too. Well, forget that. I'm leaving."
Blaze, still a little groggy, called out. "Don't go! We wanted to find you so we could live together as a family. All for one and one for all.... y'know ... like that...."
Roland addressed her other suspicion. "And I don't think anyone is going to exploit your talents any longer. We've destroyed Fisher's circus ... or, I should say, yonder firey bird destroyed it. And Fisher doesn't seem to be around anymore. So you're safe."
---
Dave was, by now, hitchiking down the road. He had stopped at a conenience store and picked up a pen and several notebooks. He intended to find Los Santos and catch up with the others.
---
After days of not interacting with The Community, Fisher went back to see what was happening.
He was peeved to find that Dave had found his way to a computer and was typing up parts of the story. No matter. Dave was unimportant ... and Fisher had bigger plans.

Splat 12-03-2005 03:55 AM

Deciding it would probably be better to get out from under the wreckage of the tent before he turned back, Pseok attempted to haul himself out from under the pile. A couple of times something that had previously escaped the fire went up in flames as he brushed against it but he paied no attention. Even as an eagle he was unharmed by fire: another bizarre side effect of whatever that guy had done to him...

He reached the edge of the pile, stared up into the sky and collapsed again, exhausted.

ooc: Time to add another cliche! I mean character!

Name: Grace Fuller
Gender: Female
Age: 34
Occupation: Lost Santos police officer.
Bio: You can probably guess. Grace Decided to join the Los Santos police when someone she knew was murdered, possibly her father or (pregnant) best friend. Rather disappointed that she didn't start with homocide cases, she left the force to study forensic science and then returned, hoping to get herself a big case. She's still hoping. Short fused, impatient and not fond of working in an office full of men, she's the typical female cop about to get stuck into a case that's way over her head.

They had heard about the fire at the circus of course, but as it was on private land the police were initially denied access. Bl@@dy politics. However, a couple of hours later she had recieved a call telling her that a small team had been granted access to the site and she set off. Now she was driving a police car to the scene behind a pair of officers in another car. Arson case, sometimes difficult because the fire naturally removed a lot of the clues, but with any luck there would be something. And there were those two people in costumes who had been seen driving there, a huge tiger suit wouldn't be hard to miss in the town. Though they might have taken them off. She kept her eyes open as she approached the edge of the city in time to notice the car in front of her park in front of a Starbucks. Muttering something rather rude, she ignored her co-workers and carried on.
They could do what they liked, she was gonna get on with her job. One of the idiots was waving at her, trying to make her stop and wait for them. She put more pressure on the acceleration and carried on. Screw them, she had a job.
