I find 5v5 is just too much for GoW, I vastly prefer 4v4. Also, just the opposite is true Phylum. One good player can easily carry a team. Since you can only die once per round, and to win a round you simply kill the rest, one player can kill the entire other team. Its easier for one person to carry a team in GoW than in any other shooter I have played. Which is sort of awesome.

LEAVE RESISTANCE ALONE!!!!!

Nothing beats Big Team Battle in Halo. I could only think of one other console FPS that has vehicles in multi-player and that's Battlefield 2.

Okay guys back on topic (:

MeechMunchie 11-11-2010 02:09 AM

Spore has gone dark and edgy. Guess what they called it. Clue: It's not 'Edgyspore'.

Nate 11-11-2010 03:51 AM

So it's pretty much just Spore with more spikey bits?

When are they gonna just give up and make a good game?

This.

Dynamithix 11-11-2010 10:04 AM

What was that thing in the teaser? A giant poop?

Nice way to impress people.

OANST 11-13-2010 06:56 AM

Tim Schafer just announced that as long as he can find a publisher for it, he is ready to make Psychonauts 2. That would be pretty fucking awesome.

MeechMunchie 11-13-2010 07:14 AM

Hasn't he been saying that for years?

OANST 11-13-2010 07:14 AM

No.

MeechMunchie 11-13-2010 07:33 AM

Really? Because on the Double Fine website he kept hinting at it, I'm sure...

OANST 11-13-2010 07:43 AM

Not really. He mentioned a few times that he wasn't opposed to making sequels on principle, but that he also likes making new things. Coming out and saying "Okay. We're ready to do it now" is a whole other ball game.

MeechMunchie 11-13-2010 07:50 AM

Oh, I see, it was an announcement announcement.

Daxter King 11-13-2010 08:03 AM

Well then he should make it already, because the 360 doesn't have enough platformers.

Mr. Bungle 11-13-2010 08:25 AM

Psychonauts 2 would kick ass. I still have to finish the first one, though.

Phylum 11-13-2010 02:44 PM

I still have to buy the first one.

Nate 11-13-2010 03:59 PM

Do it. It's cheap and brilliant.

But given that Psychonauts didn't exactly rake in the revenue, I'm not going to hold my breath on this one happening.

Phylum 11-13-2010 04:25 PM

I need a new compter first, unless I can find a PS2 copy.

Nate 11-13-2010 04:33 PM

The PC version dates from 2005, so you won't need a bleeding edge computer to play it. As long as you don't have an ATI graphics card, mind you. It's pretty broken for them.

Phylum 11-13-2010 05:19 PM

Considering my computer is from 2002 at the latest, I think I will have trouble running it.

EIDT: I checked the requirememnts and it may be able to run on my computer. I'll check my computer's specs when I'm on it next.

Mr. Bungle 11-13-2010 06:22 PM

You can download it on Xbox Live for around $15, I think. If you have one. Well worth it.

It's true that it didn't sell well right out of the gate, but Psychonauts is one of those rare games that keeps selling and selling and selling as time goes on. It went on to sell a very respectable number of units. At least, according to Tim Schafer it has.

Mac Sirloin 11-15-2010 10:11 PM

S'true. The tragedy of it wasn't so much that it flopped, hardly-but that it went completely over the heads of most people and was thoroughly ignored until quite a while later.

That's why I used the word 'revenue' instead of 'sales'. Most of those were at Steam's $10 pricepoint. Whilst that may well be profitable for Doublefine in the long run, it's not all that attractive to a publisher who wants a premium, retail-box game.

Daxter King 11-18-2010 04:13 PM

I want this game so much.

Also, Portal 2 got delayed, if anyone cares.

Mac Sirloin 11-18-2010 11:06 PM

You know, usually I don't get too excited about games. I exhausted all of that when I was the nerdiest nerd to nerd between the ages of 12 and 16, but holy balls do I want that.
I wish I had some top-notch computer that could run it at ultimate max speed (though I could probably buy one before this is released), but I'll probably settle for the 360 version. I could probably get a new 360 and a decent HD TV for half the price of a PC, anyhoo.

Dynamithix 11-24-2010 05:53 AM

Fuck yes. I'll get this for Christmas.

Mac Sirloin 11-24-2010 10:27 AM

Getting that on Friday. My killboner is cold blue steel in aniticpation.

Gross. Sorry.

Dynamithix 11-24-2010 11:31 AM

wut.

Anyways, let me know if it's any good then.

Hazel-Rah 11-24-2010 03:40 PM

Eh I'll probably get this since there's only like one other game coming out next year that I actually want, Ace Combat is uaually pretty fun.

Maybe I'm a stingy fucker, but that seems too expensive to me. I'm just posting this because I want the developers to do well.
