I like Placebo! Meds wasn't very good admittedly. Black Market Music/Placebo/Without You I'm Nothing are the ones to go after.
I don't like Kamelot, mainly because I don't like overly epic music (so Power Metal is pretty much a no for me). I know many people who like them. Watching the video for the single (the title had something to do with ghosts), the singer looks like a huge wang. |

The ones to have is 01011001, The Human Equation, Into the Electric Castle and The final Experiment. Of course the other ones are great too. :

Oi KimonO, check this out: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=29367502
Digging that shit right now. Like electro happy kinda rap. |

I'd like to get the new one, and Universal Migrator. |
There's one question that struck me lately. Is there anyone who DOESN'T like Red Hot Chilli Peppers?

I'm starting to get into Queen heaps. They're probably my favourite band at the moment. Can't believe I hadn't fully heard Bohemian Rhapsody 'till about a week ago.
|

|
Yes.
(Post of the year) |
Queen is awesome. I only wish my lifetime and the band's existence coincided, like... at all.
I just got back from seeing The Go! Team live. A fantastic band, or at least what I heard of it. I can't hear anything at the moment. |

For some strange reason, the prospect of imminent deafness, temporary or otherwise, does not arouse me.
|
Listen to John Coltrane. He was my favorite jazz artist. His work was genius. My favorite was 'Blue Train'.
|
:D at the tab in your signature.

On the side, who here likes Metalocalypse? I recently started watching that show then listening to their (Dethklok's) music. It gives me lulz. (A personal favorite; Murmaider, a song about murmaid murder. Beautiful.) |
I feel like Metalocalypse is cheesey. Probably just not for me.

It just bugs me. A lot. I started listening to Feist recently, good stuff if you like simplistic, calming music. It gets my stamp of approval. Plus my love for Rage Against The Machine was rekindled after re-listening to some old CD's. |
Yeah, Feist is great. I've been meaning to get into her music as well as others'. There are so many bands that I wanna listen to, but I don't know where to start at all. I think I might look into Kill Switch Engaged, the Postal Service, and Call it Arson. These are some bands that my friend recomended. We have pretty similar tastes in music. How are they?
|
The Postal Service are awesome but miserable.
Killswitch are bland but The End Of Heatache is classic. I <3 Ben Folds. AGREE? |
:
You might like them, they have pretty terrible vocals sometimes though. How have you been? Wb! reccomendations based on what I can remember of your musical tastes: http://www.myspace.com/dalek Dalek; experimental hiphops http://www.myspace.com/maxrichtermusic Max Richter; neo classical http://www.myspace.com/illinoiseispretty Sufjan Stevens; kinda folky, you should dig |
Lostprophets anyone?
I've gone power metal lately; Kamelot, Symphony X (totally awesome), some Dream Theater, etc. |
Recent bands I've come to like:
|
Achtung Its my turn.
its Linkin park ALL the way |

|
After almost a month of searching I finally found the American Dragonball Z Soundtrack. Some of that music is just too awesome to ignore. That and I have a weak spot for movie/serie soundtracks.
|
:
Those bands + your bands + Ayreon = my staple music diet. |

What song was this? BG have done a variety of styles over the years on different albums with some of their songs being able to be classed as Folk, Prog metal, Jazz and Classical.
Although I assure you the vast amount of their stuff is Power/Folk/Opera metal. I would show you if not for the diabolical sound quality of Youtube. |

Noooooo! please don't be an audiophile... 128kb/s isn't really that bad unless you have amazing headphones...
Anywhom I'm not sure. A few years ago at school a friend showed me some BG (could be battlestar gallactica!) and it sounded like a crazy lute concerto. Ok gaize I really hate powermetal. :( I like a little of everything else. |
