I hope journey makes a comeback

REO Speedwagon and Styx did a mini tour of Wisconsin with the original lineup. My mom really wanted to go to it but the tickets sold out in the twinkling of an eye. Yes, I was going to go to a Styx/REO Speedwagon concert with my mom, does that make me a bad man? If so, I don't want to be right.
|
styx is one of my favorite bands

At www.bartcop.com, Bartcop has been lavishing this band Del Castillo with praise. I downloaded some of it, it is friggin' excellent.
|
:
I'm back on Sonic Youth for now though. |
Ah, Sonic Youth. I saw them live a few years ago, too bad I was too musically inexperienced to know what I was witnessing. It was quite an excellent concert, although the openers sucked ass.
Is Sonic Nurse any good? My Mom bought it and I haven't listened yet. |
I don't even think you can get that album over here in England :P
I have 1 track from it, Unmade Bed, and it is pretty amazing. Goo is my fave album by them, I think its better then (dare I say it!) DAYDREAM NATION! *Shock!* |
:
Livin' in a lonely world" Great stuff. |
Eh, Belladona made Anthrax with some Journey songs so that is the only reason I put up with them.
|
In my recent adventures away from this shithole i've discovered the best song known to man. It's subject matter and musical complexity rival that of the classics and Slayer put together. The singer is angelic and demonic at the same time.
What is it? GWAR - ****ing an animal. Seriously. :
|
GWAR is awesome. How could you not like a band with a song called "The Salaminizer"?

You know those custom T shirt websites? The Violence Has Arrived cover would be a fantastic T-Shirt. Album Covers that Would Make Good T-Shirts
Killers Survive Fistful of Metal Scream Bloody Gore Coma of Souls, and just about any Kreator cover Any Tankard cover ever Blessed are the Sick Add your own. |
I've always thought the cover to Sonic Youth's Dirty would look good on a shirt.
|
Album covers that'd make good shirts -
Powerslave Painkiller Um. Yeah. |
Nevermind. Child pr0n! :p
|
Ugh. Must overrated band of the 90s, and strongly in contention for most overrated band ever.
|
I quite like abit of the 'ole Nirvana. Even if Kurt wanted to be the Pixies. Who I love even more!
|
I have decided to grace you people with my presence to let you know that Johnny Marr (the guitar player from The Smiths) has officially become a member of Modest Mouse and that the new album should be out in two or three months. It is called WE WERE DEAD BEFORE THE SHIP EVEN SANK. I haven't stopped masturbating since I heard.
|
I knew this already OANST. It's very exciting! The new single due in August is apparently called Forward Through Silence, Backwards Towards Noises.
I love Teh Mouse! |
Johnny Marr in Modest Mouse! *Squeal*
*Becomes Modest Mouse fan* :) |
OANST. PLEASE send me Long Drive and Baron Von Bullshit. You can't get them unless they are imported for like £15 on our side of the pond :(
|
It took me a long time to bring myself to say this, but I'm an avid Modest Mouse fan...
As for Styx, I've got a thing against them, because every time I listen to one of their songs ("Boat on the River" and "Crystal Ball" are the worst), I'm still humming it a week later. |
Loralie and Madam Blue are the worst for me. They crawl in my head and the choruses loop for hours.
|
Goooo the Smiths! I shall checkington this new Modest Mouse fin-didlly.
SO! Slow Motion by Third Eye Blind, anyone? Most of their stuff is rather poppy, but this song I find to be quite excellent. |
Third Eye Blind have never done anything for me. I can't say I've ever hated them or liked them. I suppose I could play a whole album and not really give a damn either way.
Anyhoo, time for me to give something. Toxic Narcotic is making a new album, I guess I'll have to buy that when it comes out. Kiss wants into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Considering it took those out of touch assholes 2 decades to let Black Sabbath in when they let in non-rock/non-metal acts like Tom Petty, Blondie, The Platters, P-Funk, and Fats Domino in its going to be a long wait. At least all the overlooked thrash and punk giants and Alice Cooper can keep them company while they wait. |
The Smiths suck. I have to say that. Christ they're so dreary! Even their 'exciting' songs are dull
Panic...on...the...streets...of...London |
Bigmouth Strikes Again is the only Smiths song I really like. And Placebo's cover of it blows the original away so I have no reason to listen to them.
|
System of a Down, anyone? I've been getting back into them recently after not listening for a while. I quite enjoy the album Hypnotize. Particually Lonely Day and Vicinty of Obscenity.
Banana-Banana-Banana-Banana-Terracotta Banana-Terracotta, Terracotta Pie! Hmmm? |
