I'm kinda hoping that PS4 exclusive thing was a JAW thing and not an OWI thing. It didn't sound like something Lorne would want at the time and it still doesn't.

I remember reading/hearing in some interviews that the PS4 timed exclusivity was a condition of them being on the main stage of their E3 presentation.

I have no doubt it'll be on the big three consoles and PC.

I'm not too sure about the Wii U - both JAW and Lorne said it was a nightmare to develop for. I think he said something like "we probably should've cancelled the project earlier" when talking about the Wii U port... but who knows... Maybe they've learned from this and will develop this game with a Wii U port in mind to make the process less painful.

Ooh, I just noticed that too. Muds have always had tiny, almost-vestigial pinky fingers, but I'm pretty sure they had nails on all their fingers before. Factory accident, maybe? And possibly a great big "F U" to the original reason they all lost a finger in AE and onward.

It may just be the harsh lighting, the fingernail and tip on the small finger are both very small.

Could be an evolutionary leftover from when Mudokons were nonsentient birdlike animals? Humans have tailbones but no tails, and dolphins/whales have itty-bitty back leg bones.

Again, just so people don't get their hopes up, Abe's not gonna look like that in game. :p The hand's a render to get people excited. He might look like that in pre-rendered cutscenes (and it comparison to NnT's cutscenes, much much better), but it'll be toned down when you play it.

And the A.L.I.V.E 2 engine itself is a modified version of the Gamebryo engine. Which might actually suck worse than Unity.

Yeah so did I. They were unnecessary and usually ruined the atmosphere of the game.

They were also really buggy. Which sure, gave me a few cheap laughs, but I'd honestly prefer them to be gone entirely.

The ragdolls were kind of a mood killer, even though I've always generally loved ragdolls, but I think they should have made them die with less force, perhaps make death animations that THEN lead to a ragdoll state instead of just death = insta-ragdoll.

Also, I think they should make the lighting darker and more depressing, hopefully it looks something like the pre-render, well probably not the model detail or texture detail, but if it has the same lighting, then I'd hyperventilate over it.

The use of ragdolls was perfect for slig on slig action, but it fell flat for a lot of other deaths

Something about stopping dead in your tracks and just falling limp while saying "Aw why'd you kill me man" gets me good

Well I mean Half-Life 2 did that back in 2004 and Portal 2 did it way better in 2011 so what they did in NnT was pretty shit. It was also very cartoony and I hope that with this Darker and Edgier™ direction they're taking with OS they'll do the electric gates better.

Its the smaller things which made the differences in NnT. For example, when a steak falls from a meat sack, it looked ridiculous. They should have kept it to a simple bloody chunk of flesh

I agree it was a lot of little things that added up that spoiled parts of NNT for me many being little atmospheric thing like how bright ruptur farms was I'm hoping there fixed in SoulStorm:fuzwink:

I think a completely redesigned Soulstorm Brewery in the same vein of the redesigned RF would be far more fitting for the location than Rupture Farms.

I'd expect a flashy showy exterior to a brewery vs a meat processing plant through and through
