An interview!
E: Oh, was I too late? |
Where did you get this interview?
By the way too much beer for Lorne. |
The reporter looks like a lesbian.
|
Looking at Stewart throughout the entire interview was as entertaining as it was saddening.
|
I found something interesting in this interview...

Yeah, there were like six bottles on that table.
|
I like how Stewart is just looking round and occasionally on his phone whilst Lorne was talking.

"You must spread some reputation around before giving it to OANST again"
I can't tell you how many times I have seen that fucking message. |

Oddworld has the worst fans ever.

We're fans?

It's like being a Catholic. You don't have observe, practice or respect anything, but it's just not enough to get you out.
:
It was my idea, actually. But I was nowhere near cool enough to remake a rap song with soundbites from a '90s platform game. EDIT: Also, it's always struck me as strange that Lorne is an awfully good salesman for an anti-capitalist. |
:
Everyone else: Next offtopic post receives an infraction. |
About that interview, it's like Lorne's speech didn't change in the last few years, I almost missed it. :p
Also, poor Stew, Lorne is realy taking all the attention here. |
It's nothing personally, really. But a... Lorne is quite good talk'a'guy - Stewart acts like "0.00% charisma man" so I prefer Lorne talking.

Hey you're right, I totally forgot about that quote. Maybe the ones who are getting beaten have a more hurt or scared voice. And ones that are alone talk regularly or have a different personality. Like in AO, some had high pitch voices. Also, how do you guys feel about some slight alterations to the workers? Not ridiculous amounts of change, like all 99 look different. But like the fuzzles in MO, some have different features like more teeth, less hair, Etc. I think it can give more life and feel to the game. Not saying this needs to be done, just interested in others opinions and ideas :) |
With fuzzles hair density and number of teeth are two very slight but effective changes to make that add depth to the game. What similar changes could they make for muds without them being so obvious that one is mud type A and the next is type B?
Different hairstyles may work. Random scars and such might be effective, but I wouldn't want to be able to see even 5 muds with an identical scar in one game. |
Tattoos
Skin tone Height Weight Loincloth design |
Eye colour, voice, posture, how aroused the beatings make them...
|
At a last resort... I did mention using the New N' Tasty as a subheading... does that make me eligible for a credit? :'(
|
If you submitted it via the suggestion form, you should already have been emailed.
|
Nope, I merely suggested it on here. Damn!
|
Well you get nothing! You lose!
Good day sir! |

It would be nice some of the larger Oddworld mythos sprinkled throughout the game. Mentions to Lady Margaret, Sam etc. Perhaps even a few AE references.

What I can say after seeing the pre-alpha footage, bird portal should have better sound (I mean more powerful). For now, it sounds a little bit too soft (if I can describe it). Also, slig animation is good but in some way - a little bit funny (I mean, run animation).

When I watched on YouTube the video footage, the game is going better than what I was imagining, even with the screenshots (I just noticed that Abe's climbing was kinda strange when I compare with the original game). Can't wait to see the final result. Is the company considering later to release a public demo?
|
I can't imagine why not, but not for some time.

Good news then!

I must say, this thing does look really awesome. Can't wait to see it for Christmas 2013! :)

Wow, I am simply... Mesmerized! The graphics look amazing and I can only wonder how grand it will be seeing the Paramonian forests in 3D. I am so glad that the HD remake idea I've had for such a long time will actually come true. The balance so far seems just right regarding changing the puzzles as necessary because of the moving camera, the core elements all seem intact and the spirit is definitely present. This is going to be a great game!
There is only one thing that's bugging me, and it's a matter of taste. I'm talking about the orange haze in the background and foreground. Guys, I simply think it is overdone. New 'n' tasty looks much grander in scale because of the new tech and camera, but I think that the backgrounds should remain fairly true to the original. While watching the pre-alpha footage I was under the impression that everything was orange, like I was staring at the screen through some kind of fog! It is very evident here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...nt8Jb134#t=45s I really liked the dark areas of RuptureFarms and I think we shouldn't lose them completely. Sure, RF is a busy environment that can now be brought to us in full light thanks to the new engine, but it should have certain contrasts, certain dark parts which look mysterious and frightening. Maybe the video quality is low so I'm not getting the full picture, but the point is, I would love to see some more contrast. I just thought I'd put my thoughts out here, not try to influence anyone to my opinion. I am not frequent on these forums at all but I am a huge Oddworld fan. Thank you all, b bye :) |
Will it be available on Steam and when?
|
When it's done (no exact date, obviously) and yes, why not.
|
Varrok there, speaking with complete backing from JAW.
|
Yes, why not
