Varrok 07-16-2012 10:38 AM

I think it's better.

OANST 07-16-2012 10:45 AM

I think it's more better.

Mr. Bungle 07-16-2012 11:58 AM

I'd say it's less worse.

MeechMunchie 07-16-2012 03:20 PM

I've never played it.

Crashpunk 07-17-2012 10:32 AM

New games are on sale.

LIMBO is -75% off! If you haven't got this game. GET IT NOOW!

Laser 07-17-2012 10:43 AM

Stacking for £2.87. Sold!

Also I agree with Crashpunk. If you haven't bought it already, LIMBO is fantastic.

MeechMunchie 07-17-2012 11:12 AM

Stacking isn't great, but worth £3. I've spent more than that on a bag of sweets.

Mr. Bungle 07-17-2012 12:00 PM

I concur with Laser and Crashpunk. Limbo is fantastic. That's practically a steal.

MeechMunchie 07-17-2012 12:09 PM

I think almost everyone here has bought it by this point, though.

MeechMunchie 07-21-2012 09:17 AM

75% off everything with "Dawn of War" in the title.

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/15349/

Go, Manco, go!

Manco 07-21-2012 09:46 AM

Go, Manco, go!

Bought some of these. Word to the wise: DoW: Gold Edition and DoW: Dark Crusade can be bought individually, but DoW: Platinum Edition includes both and costs the same as either one on its own.

Laser 07-21-2012 10:17 AM

Rayman needs to go 75% off for me to buy it

Dynamithix 07-21-2012 10:42 AM

I bought Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines for 5€, no regrets.

Varrok 07-21-2012 10:50 AM

I believe with -50% off Rayman's price is finally equal to our box edition.

MeechMunchie 07-21-2012 01:29 PM

92% off literally every DoW-related thing in a bundle, BTW.

I bought a boxed verision of DoWII at launch. It cost me twice as much as the entire series does now.

Cosmic.

STM 07-21-2012 01:35 PM

I think I must've spent about £145.93~ on all the DoW games...

Spent a lot of time fucking about on Magicka with MA, funny as shit! =D

MeechMunchie 07-21-2012 02:50 PM

Tell that to Molluck's Assistant?

Christ, you've forgotten already.

STM 07-21-2012 03:29 PM

Fuck, MM, I'm sorrrry. D=

Nepsotic 07-21-2012 04:39 PM

Hah, got Limbo, Portal 2, and Amnesia. Can anyone recommend some good games? (Below £10)

MeechMunchie 07-22-2012 04:50 AM

You see that tab, the one that says "Top under £7"?

Magicka, Super Meat Boy, Mirror's Edge, Audiosurf, Machinarium, various Dawn of Warses... definitely Mirror's Edge, though.

Laser 07-22-2012 05:17 AM

Bookworm Adventures. Both of them. Ben There Dan That and Time Gentleman Please (60p for both!)

MeechMunchie 07-22-2012 09:38 AM

Bastion, £2.49!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/107100/

Psychonauts, £1.49!

Bioshock, £3.49!

World of Goo, £1.74!

And if you'd rather take a chance on something more obscure, this is pretty cool.

Nepsotic 07-22-2012 10:47 AM

I have Bioshock, but I'll check the others out.

Mr. Bungle 07-25-2012 04:54 PM

I bought Left for Dead 2 for 5 bucks today on Steam. I recommend others do so as well.

Havoc 07-25-2012 05:59 PM

Let's kick some zombie butt sometimes. Do I have you on Steam?

Mr. Bungle 07-25-2012 07:13 PM

No. I don't have anyone from OWF on Steam. Hell, I don't even know what my Steam ID is. Is it the name you use when logging in?

But yeah, I won't be able to play until next week when I have my laptop again.

Varrok 07-25-2012 11:59 PM

Not exactly, you can set your steam id in the Community tab in "Edit Profile" (Custom url)

Nepsotic 07-26-2012 01:30 AM

I saw Varrok in an oddworld thread on Steam, he uses his OWF name, though your Steam ID isn't the same as your Steam Forums user name. L4D2 is about 3 quid here, I'd get it but I played the shit out of it on Xbox.

MeechMunchie 07-26-2012 05:18 AM

No. I don't have anyone from OWF on Steam.

I probably ought to make it more obvious that this is a link.

Mr. Bungle 07-26-2012 11:24 AM

I saw that link. I was gonna PM you other day but I couldn't figure out my Steam ID. Incoming PM, MM.

Letters.

Varrok 07-26-2012 11:37 AM

It's new humble indie bundle, everybody! This time it's all about music though

https://www.humblebundle.com

Why did I posted that in game-related thread in a game-related subforum, you may ask... Well, some of you might say that I'm a lazy piece of shit and they'd be absolutely right, but some of you might say that there's music album by Jonathan Coulton, who wrote songs which ended up in games like Portal/Portal2/L4D2 (the album includes those songs in his perfomance), and those people are just trying to justify my behavior...

Nepsotic 07-26-2012 03:22 PM

I have the Portal 2 soundtrack because it' so fucking awesome. MM has another incoming PM because I like to be part of things!

MeechMunchie 07-26-2012 03:24 PM

I have the Portal 2 soundtrack because it's free.

Fix'd

Nepsotic 07-27-2012 02:16 AM

That means I can afford it.

MeechMunchie 08-03-2012 03:21 PM

Titan Quest. IMHO this game is better than Diablo III. I put a long ramble about it on WAYPRN, something I don't do... every day, at least.

£2.49 for the lot. You'd be a sucker not to buy the expansion with it - the bundle costs the same as either individually (making the expansion essentially free), plus the more important factor that THE GAME DOESN'T WORK ON MODERN HARDWARE WITHOUT THE EXPANSION.

Don't let that put you off, though - the whole thing runs perfectly well (better than DIII ever could with its laughably tragic DRM), since all it comes down to is a patch, included in the expansion; which has since become unavailable to download as the developers' company folded.

But all that's irrelevant. Same low price, so you're all going to buy the expansion anyway. And this is a proper game, not some shoestring indie thing with all style and no substance.

It looks better than DIII, too! Just buy it, for crying out loud. It's something violent yet unrealistic to plough into when you need to think about things without actually thinking.

I liked Titan's Quest. I never got into Diablo, so I can't really compare it to TQ, but the latter I enjoy a lot. I prefer to play in co-op, it was good fun running around as a fire/offense combination. And the game has that classic mythology feel to it that I always liked. So yes, it is worth getting if you're into all this.

Manco 08-17-2012 12:04 PM

Steam are apparently giving out vouchers to people who own Portal 2. The vouchers are for 75% off Portal 2, to give to friends who don’t already own the game, and are valid until August 30.

So uh, if anyone wants a discount for Portal 2, I got a code. probably a ton more people too.

Ridg3 08-18-2012 04:15 AM

I wouldn't mind a code there Manco. Been itching to play it.
