Thank you guys, always here for support, nice :)
I'll post my model tomorrow or saturday. Hope you'll like it ! |
Here is the final greeter.
Like the flying slig, I've given him some kind of a "realistic" aspect. You may have notified that with the main texture I've published before ;-) Clic for a larger version. http://www.affectueusement-votre-eco...eeter-pres.jpg See you soon...With another update :-) Cheers Lauric |
The detail on that is incredible - Very, very nicely done.
|
It looks absolutely fantastic!
|
Yup. Cool.
|
Nicely done on that Greeter. Looks very accurate :)
|
Fantastic work, as usual.
The teeth look really flat, but I can't decide if that is good or bad. It gives them a certain creepiness that they need, but at the same time a "real" mouth might be more terrifying. |
Thank you guys to keep following this thread with me.
For the "flat" teeth, as you know, the original model is just like that ; I mean, I always thought it was done on purpose (not because of the limited technology), so that's why I didn't make them in real 3D ;-) |
Greeters do have flat teeth do to them being mechanical.Sort of a "painted metal sheet" style.
|
Agree ;)
So, the next step is done. I just opened a tumblr account. I thought it would be a good idea to have the possibility to see every single pictures (well, almost) published about my WIP in a single page. Even you people who followed my mess from the beginning, I thought this could be a good way to thank you :-) http://feeco-depot-wip.tumblr.com/ Like this thread, twitter and facebook page, this tumblr will be updated in real time. See you ! |
I thought it would be a great challenge. I love challenge, so here we go : Next step !
Good morning, Mr. Aslik. http://www.affectueusement-votre-eco...aslik-pres.jpg http://www.affectueusement-votre-eco...aslik-pres.jpg |
I'm not sure if the ears are quite right, but it is early in it's stages, so it might be hard to tell.
|
|
Aslik is a much slimmer Glukkon, so keep that in mind. He has much more defined bone structure, and is far more gaunt than the others.
Of course, after seeing your Slig, I have full confidence in you. Amazing how you churn this stuff out weekly, whereas all the artists I enlisted for my project have done basically nothing. :dodgy: Oh well, that's what happens when you don't offer compensation! |
:
..and laurik, i strongly urge you to model one of sekto's characters he needs for his project. You could use it in your scene AND let sekto use it too. btw, ive tried giving you more rep but it wont let me until i give some out to others first, ur work is incredible! Sekto's short film is gonna be awesome whether he gets our help or not; but imagine watching it and knowing that you modelled one of the animated characters! |
Thank both of you ;-)
No trouble AG about giving reputation, lol, your comment is more important for me ;-) Sekto, yeah, i've noticed that. You know, in a WIP, everything is moving everytime ; Something you show 10 minutes ago changes completely 5 minutes later ; And then you get back to your first result, you change it, etc... I take your advises with pleasure, I need them, but keep in mind that everything changes ;D By the way, another update :-) Cheers ! http://www.affectueusement-votre-eco...aslik-pres.jpg |

Damn you work fast, Lauric - I can see the resemblance already despite it being early stages. Shame I can't give you more rep.
|
I don't get how you can keep pumping these out, but I love it.
|
You know, now I think I use Zbrush correctly enough to make things...faster
I'll post updates tomorrow. |
http://www.affectueusement-votre-eco...aslik-pres.jpg
The differences might be...Invisible, but be sure there are some ;-) Make details is the lowest work...Because it's very important. Cheers ! |
I would make sweet, tender and, somewhat, humiliating love to your work.
|
Haha, so my work thanks you ^^
I'm going to publish the finished head this day ;-) Stay tuned ! |
Ok, I meant, in some minutes :-)
So the 3D head is finished now, I guess, there might be small modifications later, but very small. I believe the details quantity is enough. Going to do the rest of the (dressed) body now. Clic on the first picture to see a largest version. See you soon guys ;-) http://www.affectueusement-votre-eco...aslik-pres.jpg http://www.affectueusement-votre-eco...aslik-pres.jpg http://www.affectueusement-votre-eco...aslik-pres.jpg http://www.affectueusement-votre-eco...aslik-pres.jpg |
Oh wow, that's awesome. Like all of your work :)
|
Holy crap, Lauric - That's perhaps more detailed than the models they use in the 1998 AE FMVs, it certainly has a lot more polygons. I can't wait to see him textured! You've captured his likeness unbelievably well, too.
Oh good, I can give you rep again. :) |
Excellent details! You really managed to give his skin a texture that makes it feel real. The eyelids look a bit odd though. I guess with the rest of the texture I'd expect them to be a bit more... baggy?
|
JAW, what are you waiting? Get this guy!
|
Impressive indeed. It looks almost exactly like him.
|
Amazing. your whole project is just amazing.
|
This is totally amazing. You should be with JAW.I must give you tons of rep :D
|
Bit off the point here but your website was hacked?
|
Hi everybody !
Thanks for your last comments, always a pleasure ! I have some issues with my internet so I can't upload anything right now. So sad because Aslik is all finished (also textured) :/ Can't wait to show him ! I'm sure you'll like him ;-) I hope my internet will be back soon. Writing from my girlfriend's home ;-) See you soon ! Ps: thank you Ridg3 I fixed everything as soon as I saw your message...tsss annoying people ;-) They have just changed the index. |
Aw, shame about your 'net copping out on you when you have stuff to show - But good to hear it's done. :) Looking forward to it.
|
Well, my internet box is officially down (bad thunderstorm), but I know somethng more today : my network card is also down :fuzmad:
Too complicated to publish with an Ipad so I'll find a solution really soon to show you aslik. Stay tuned |
Ouch - Yeah surge protectors don't always work. Your network card got fried too? Maybe I should also disconnect my LAN cable during a thunderstorm as well, then.
|
Wow. Just wow. That is all I can say! This stuff is amazing, and you should be proud of your skill! +rep, +rep,+rep! Your work just amazes me!
|

Thank you Mr.Spandexpants, really :-) Yeah DH, you totally should ^^ Aslik is not protected for any new modification(s), never forget this ;-) By the way I think I'm gonna make him slimmer. I used one of the concept art picture found on the web to make it, not really in-game screens. |
Holy crap, that's amazing work man! +rep!
|
That's incredible - And like the slig, perhaps even looks more like Dripik than the original does...
