Haven't heard Return to Forever in a long time.


The only thing I dislike about the great jazz and contemporary classical pieces is that you always seem to get some little tit going "I'm only 16! I'm not mainstream! Docile general public!" wherever there's room for comments.

I seen mentions of OST's a little while back on the thread and I thought I'll join in with this little number.



Beautiful song in my opinion and can be listened to outside of the game. But, in saying that, I'm a whore for all of Nobuo Uematsu's work.

Speaking of which, Nobou's metal band The Black Mages turns 'To Zanarkand' into 'The Skies Above' and great oul tune.

We're studying Pet Sounds in Music Studies. It's amazing.

I love how well this song pulls off the crazy sound.

I'm liistening to the "new" Foo Fighters album. Really good stuff, I can understand why it got such acclaim. Much better than their previous album.

I've been re-listening to Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown album. It has quite a few good songs but nothing compared to Dookie and American Idiot.

I've been listening to nothing but Pet Sounds since Friday.

I'm blown away. I've never heard anything quite like this. There is something really special about this album.

I can't recommend it enough to anyone that hasn't heard it. Go buy it. It's dirt cheap on the iTunes store.

Now there's an album I've been meaning to listen to for ages. I believe my Dad has it on his computer, so I might get it from him. I've heard tons of acclaim about it, so I guess I really should give it a try.

Danish xfactor this year has started really strong. Ive never actually been genuinely impressed by talent shows like that. But people this season are.... rather unique.

Im a bit ashamed to say that I like the xfactor version more :3 yea shame on me for liking a cover. But I really liked this group.

I've been binging on LZ for quite some time now.

Now, I don't deny that Stairway to Heaven is a good song, but I don't understand why everyone thinks it's some kind of anthemic masterpiece.

I deny that it's a good song. It bores me shitless if I'm honest. But to be fair to the composer or composers, that is partly due to the fact that I am sick to the bone of hearing it and about it.

I don't think that Stairway to Heaven is the greatest Zep song. Covers can never be the best song from the artist. That just happened to be the song I was listening to at the time. Nor do I consider it to be an anthem/masterpiece.

There's no reason why they can't be. I can't give any examples right now, but this is definitely untrue.

Fair point, but in my experience I've founds bands through them covering a particular song and it's never their best song. Topics like this are all subjective anyways.

And before anybody mentions cover bands, they don't count.
