Again, it has the same general art direction. But saying that Super Meat Boy looks and plays like Meat Boy is like saying that Super Mario Bros. looks and plays like Mario Bros. Yes, there are turtles, and that guy running around is Mario, but it is absolutely a different game with different controls, and a different feel.

Also, the square tiles are there to make the level editor easy to use. Which you pc cunts get, and I don't. So, the game that you are getting is actually better than the one that I got which I would have paid twice the amount that I did for. In all seriousness, you don't run across platforming perfection every day. What they accomplished is extraordinary.

I assure you, I will be playing this game. The Steam release is tomorrow, I'd expect them to have a demo. But fuck it, I'm just a kid without a proper disposable income. If I can find a reason not to spend money, I'll seize it.

I completely agree. In fact, I felt slightly disingenuous saying that it was Mario Bros. vs. Super Mario Bros. because they are so vastly different. SMB and SMB 3 is a much more fitting analogy.


I'm glad to hear it, because if you like platformers, and are any good at them, you should play this. Also, you'll definitely get a demo, but make sure you play the dark world in it, because if you only play the demo's light world then the game will seem boring.

Yeah, I've finished the first world's dark world, and a bit of world two. I've been juggling a lot of games along with school, friends, etc. that it's been difficult. I can only imagine if I had a job.

I really do want to continue playing it, though. Just taking a break 'cause that game is freaking brutal at times.

The Elder Scrolls trailer didn't thrill me that much, it was good, but a gameplay trailer would be even better. Glad it's coming though.

We should get some more of that lovely Nirnian geography. Morrowind had nice ash deserts and seas, Cyrodiil had nice forests and moors, Skyrim should have nice mountains and tundras.

Dead Space 2 is released soon and the makers started an add campaign called "Your mom hates Dead Space 2" and there are already more than few videos of it (They're hilarious.), but this one was definitely the funniest:

Just polished off Spyro the Dragon after borrowing it from a friend. That game's a lot shorter than I remember it being.

Magicka is out soon. It's an indie Diablo clone, but with a nice little twist in that the only class is Mage. The main attraction is its magic system, based around eight elements that can be combined in spells by pressing them in quick succession.

It's basically a cross between Doodle God and Diablo, for people with quick fingers on the keyboard. Also, multiplayer.

The other draw is its sense of humour, which rips on every game, meme and fantasy fiction to come before it. Look at the achievements.

Something to tide you over until Diablo III.
