Matriar 09-14-2006 02:59 AM

Keep the comics up, Dripik! They're nice.

dripik 09-17-2006 01:30 AM

Brand new page coming up...

I'd post this yesterday, but something was wrong with the Attachements, I couldn't upload the picture.

Matriar 09-17-2006 03:09 AM

Big Bro slig is so stupid and funny in strange way :D.

Creepy Doc 09-17-2006 10:31 AM

The idea with the wanted poster is good.

Splat 09-21-2006 01:29 PM

Hehe, good old days? Wish I'd got into RPing sooner. Nothing now is as good as the classice like Red Muse and Tybie Odd.

dripik 10-10-2006 09:08 AM

Yup, a lot of quality RPers are gone. Bad thing is, first I'm happy they join in, and later I'm disappointed that they leave or disappear from the RPG.

Anyways... Just when you thought that you won't see any new comics from me...

Splat 10-10-2006 11:03 AM

Nice one Dripik. What they need is a robotic arm. Now if only someone would make one for them. hmmm....

Creepy Doc 10-12-2006 03:50 AM

I wonder how he could eat his meal without arms and any help.

dripik 10-12-2006 09:08 AM

Page 63 coming up.

Splat 10-12-2006 11:27 AM

Lovely jubley!
Great sleeping glukkon, looks very... gluttonish!

Matriar 10-13-2006 07:50 AM

The last picture looks hilarious. :D

Creepy Doc 10-14-2006 12:43 PM

Keep this comic up, dude!

Steef Head 10-14-2006 05:26 PM

Wow! That comic is great! Keep it up! ;)

Bullet Magnet 10-14-2006 05:41 PM

The shot of the bullet-ridden bed is the best. There should be one on every page.

Munch's Master 10-25-2006 11:52 AM

Good comics Dripik. I'm going to need to go back a lotta pages to pick up on the plot, but it's great artwork and entertaining. I wish I'd discovered this site sooner so i could've joined in with such great RPers, but back in 2001-02 I didn't even have a computer, I only got one in 2004!

dripik 10-26-2006 06:57 AM

Thanks for the comments, all!

It must be fun to come back after a few months and see a dozen of new comic pages. That's how I think, at least.

The bullet-ridden bed? It's not as much detailed as my Paramites, but I guess it has some value... hidden somewhere.

The first Mudokons return! Page 64.

Bullet Magnet 10-26-2006 12:22 PM

It's not the detail, it's the sense of movement, humour, character and needless furniture-directed violence.

Creepy Doc 10-27-2006 01:50 AM

I ddidn't get it. Why is she in that trance again?

Munch's Master 10-27-2006 02:14 AM

Yep, it sure is good to see so many new comic pages. To be honest, I didn't expect you to be able to keep up with this for so long, but you proved my pessimistic expectations wrong! Nice work dripik. :)

Splat 10-27-2006 03:04 AM

Well for some inexplicable reason, MM, mods don't seem to be able to delete posts properly.
Don't worry, we all double post once in a while (on another site I've seen 4 identical posts in a row so don't stress about it :p)

Great comic Dripik. I believe she's in a trance cus she's slig-a-phobic and she just saw Jammer, the big-bro. Maybe you'll have to change the dialogue a bit to make these things clearer later on, Dripik.

dripik 10-31-2006 09:59 AM

Yeah, the reason of Jayne's trance can be found on page 29 (she is BigBroSlig-o-phobic, to be exact).

:

Personality: Jayne...well....she has problems. When she was first sold into slavery by the Cartel, she was placed under a particularly mean slig who beat her much more than is typical, and did other inapropriate things besides. She developed a few mental problems as a natural result...

That should explain it. IMO, these 'unclear' things make things more interesting. The trance already created a discussion.

Oh yeah, page 65...

Munch's Master 11-01-2006 05:30 AM

Nice comic. I love the way you did the carrying and sitting down screens, good art and it doesn't look angular or blocky. Also good use of perspective. Keep it up dripik.

dripik 11-03-2006 12:20 PM

Yeah, I try to put detail in the movement as much as possible, yet I rarely overcomplicate things.

New page again...

Creepy Doc 11-03-2006 02:27 PM

Looks good so far. :) I like it.
Maybe you try to draw the shoulders of the mudokons more relaxed in future. I think they always look a little tense for me. :) But else, really good work, dude!

Splat 11-06-2006 12:17 PM

Awesome two pages, and the monumental meeting between Jayne and Musey. :p

Awesome. I can't believe you're on number 66 already!

Matriar 11-07-2006 01:41 AM

Yeah, well done! :)

Munch's Master 11-08-2006 11:58 AM

Jayne and Muse certainly was quite probably the most bizarre relatioship W@RF has ever seen and will ever see. Although perhaps Dionysia and Gappiqu is trying to overtake it in that aspect?

Slaveless 11-11-2006 02:59 PM

Hmm, nice job Dripik. Keep up the great story telling. And I can't wait to see when the drama and the action is protrayed later in the comics.

Still thinking about how to scan my drawings. Shoot, I need to make more.

Now MM, I think we have to understand Gappiqu and Dionysia in order to actually say they can fill in for Muse and Jayne. Muse is a lot like Gappiqu actually. Both have a dark past that they rather not talk about, both are emotional to some perspective, both have rather funny jobs for a Slig (Gappiqu is a mechanic and Muse happens to be a poet), and both like to express their love in odd ways. Jayne and Dionysia's only similarity is that they both are odd, are Mudokons, females, and that they sterile. Besides that, they are also the ones you wouldn't think to fall for a Slig.

But Dionysia is rather self perservant. All she wants to do is protect herself, make sure her reputation is always known kept true to its form, and make sure that she has meaning. And that means she isn't about to let Gappiqu get too personal with her. However, I would love to see their relationship find its way into Gappiqu have the night of his life. (I guess that wouldn't happen, or we would have to make that RPG within pms, or simply avoid it for some time.)

Splat 11-15-2006 02:02 PM

I think Dionysia is more like Jammer that Jayne :p
You can't blame Dion for being selfish, expecting everybody to worship her, thinking she owns the planet and looking down on everybody else: it's partly genetic (Skillya genes, oh my! Course if Skillya knew she had her genes, they'd kill her and everybody in in a five mile radius) and the rest of it is the way she was brought up. Blame the, uh, vykkers.

Anyway, in the past she got in a relationship with a slig (Stivik, coincidentally) and it was a disaster cus she told him she had Skillya genes and he betrayed her to the Magog Cartel who decided to take control f her, rather than tell Skillya. So it's going to take a lot before she trusts Gappiqu enough to get involved, though she does like him (she'll never admit it, don't tell her I said that). Occasionally the nicer Dion has come out, but its usually when she thinks she's had the last line in an argument, which lets her clam down a little, thinking the drama is over, and then someone else says something and she feels threatened and the nasty side comes up again.

By the way, Gappiqu started it.

Munch's Master 11-18-2006 04:28 AM

Dioneysia and Stivik had a relationship? Hmmm, interesting. Just curious, is Stivik gone for good, or will he ever return to W@RF?

Splat 11-18-2006 07:44 AM

their relationship ended long before Stivik came to RF, but when Dionysia came there were clues in their conversation. At the moment I've got no plans to bring Stivik back in, though I've thought about writing a story with him and Dionysia. If I did, i'd probably write about W@RF as well.

dripik 11-18-2006 07:50 AM

That would be fun to read, Splat. Yeah, it was quite obvious that Dionysia and Stivik knew eachother from earlier.

So, here's another on, page 67.

Creepy Doc 11-18-2006 07:56 AM

Wow, so this is page 64. When did you start those "W@RF"-comics?

Splat 11-20-2006 01:43 AM

Vince's long-suffering look in the last frame is great!
So whadda ya wait'n' fur?
GET BACK TA WORK!

Slaveless 11-21-2006 06:50 PM

Heh, I love all of the expressions of the Mudokons. They are all just so cute in comparison to Abe! Keep on working on it.

I will be sure to read about Dionysia and Stivik's relationship. Seems interesting. To tell you the truth when I first read about Dionysia and Stivik, I thought they meet by RPG.

I always had this idea to make a story about Molt's early life. But I always thought that he might be a little hard to do, because 32 years of life is not always something that is easy to write down. Besides, there is a lot of stories about Molt that we don't know about him, like his real name. Heh, that's right, Molt was renamed after a certain amount of incidents. In fact, the 'possession' wasn't the only thing that caused him to lose parts of him. But that is another story for another day.

And Splat, let's not pin the whole romance thing on Gappiqu! Just because he carried and treated Dionysia in one occision, does not mean that.... Shucks, it does mean it. :P

dripik 11-24-2006 11:06 AM

OK, so here's a new one. I've shortened it a little, so the last frame might look a bit strange, with RM not responding. But I'm saving the drawing of a lying BigBro (which would have been in this one) for another page.

Munch's Master 11-24-2006 01:38 PM

A blue female mudokon? My first reaction was Anni. I can't remember that far back and can't be bothered checking, so, is it Anni?
I could tell Stivik and Dion knew each other from the past, but I didn't know they knew each other. I'd be happy to read of a story involving stivik, Molt or any of them. I still want to get Freedom Fighters done, and possibly eventually do the sequel, although prospects for that look more and more grim. I have mentioned Arthur's W@RF career in FF in passing, since FF is set post-Arthur at W@RF. His W@RF experience is quite key to his character in FF, especially in the later chapters, some of which I'm working on currently.

Splat 11-25-2006 10:12 AM

Anni doesn't appear for a long time, MM. This is ages ago before I joined. The mudokon's name is Jayne, I think she was made by... Tybie odd?
Anyway, she eventually has a romantic relationship with Red Muse (the slig with the colourful pants), which is why we started talking about Gappiqu and Dionysia.

Dionysia does like Gappiqu, but she doesn't want to cus she thinks it'll end badly like with Stivik. She doesn't trust anyone to become close to her emotionally. She took a long time to accept his friendship, but she did eventually, so you never know what else she may admit to later on.

Creepy Doc 11-25-2006 11:57 AM

Well, I like that comic.

And yes, Anni doesn't appear for a long time indeed, I almost forgot her. :dead:

dripik 11-25-2006 01:16 PM

Actually, that blue female Mudokon is called Ammy, she is TRM's character. Jayne is sleeping now in the comic.
