Going back on topic, I love how the design of the levers now reflects their appearance in the opening cinematic of the original Abe's Oddysee. It's those little touches that make the change rather nice indeed, love how they're taking more from the cutscenes and bringing it into the actually gameplay scenery. ^^

the holographic screens in the pre alpha video look like quite cool, i had an idea pop into my head that you could possibly stop at one and press a button (like on munch's oddysee) but it can have options on it like an options menu at a pause menu, so you can change brightness,contrast,music volume,sfx volume or even use them (if you will add them) to type in a cheat code? Obviously as well as displaying the in-game stats. so it would be like an in-game pause menu type thing

Clever, but seems too Dead Space honestly, and doesn't fit the way the game is set out. Would be clever though if the status indicators did have the product ad and only showed the number of employees when you actually went up and examined them, or they cycled through worker status and product placement automatically on a timed loop (kind of the same way the LED screens cycle between controls and factory mottos). |
I meant as an addition to the pause menu, but as said it wont work. It would be cool if it displayed security status too, it could work well with trophies/achievements

Security status? As in, how many sligs are on duty? That would kill a couple of puzzles I think.

^ This. However the problem when the game comes onto Steam is that it will have the alt-tab menu and any achievements that the game might have would pop up automatacally.
And I just want the pause menu to look like Abe's Oddysee's. Maybe they could add more advanced options menu because it's a PC game but that depends on if this game needs a launcher or not. |
