Jordan 08-19-2010 06:57 PM

Started playing Rayman earlier today. Retro shit!

Disgruntled Intern 08-19-2010 07:41 PM

I'll play some EWJ HD with you if you're still looking. I keep strange hours though.

Johnny Truant21 is my gamertag.

Hazel-Rah 08-19-2010 09:15 PM

Yeah me too, I work evenings.

I beat EWJ2 on the Genesis for the first time yesterday! It's easier than I remembered and also looked like crap on my TV -_- please make an EWJ2 HD Gamesloft.

Disgruntled Intern 08-19-2010 10:01 PM

Seriously. I just wish they wouldn't have fucked with the original soundtrack.

Pretty tempted to pick up the EWJ soundtrack anthology that Tommy T. released.

Daxter King 08-20-2010 09:17 AM

Holy shit, I just had an awesome game of rockets in Halo 3. My end score was higher than the entire other team's.

Hazel-Rah 08-20-2010 09:57 AM

I once got fifty kills in Big Team Slayer on Valhalla Heavy

I WAS in the tank for most of the game but still...

Daxter King 08-20-2010 10:06 AM

Jump on Live hazel, Im bored.

Hazel-Rah 08-20-2010 10:08 AM

I'll be on in about an hour, I'm going out, but I'll be on all night (off)

Mac Sirloin 08-20-2010 02:44 PM

Playing some Fire Emblem: Something dark Dragon.

It's a remake of the very first Fire Emblem, and I mostly bought it out of because it was cheap. It's okay. I lost my first Unicorn Fucker in like, two minutes. Not touch screen heavy, either. It's like a more personable Advance Wars.

Alf Shall Rise 08-21-2010 01:28 PM

Just bought and played Skullmonkeys for the first time, and even though I've only reached the fourth world, I really like this game so far. It's just fun. Plus the cinema are amusing and funny to watch too. Although the fourth world, Sno, seems like a big jump from the first three worlds difficulty-wise. I'll be sure to play the hell out of this game later today.

Wings of Fire 08-21-2010 08:26 PM

I played and completed the new Phoenix Wright game on holiday.

Then I completed a couple of the old ones for good measure.

I love that series.

Alf Shall Rise 08-21-2010 11:33 PM

So I've reached the last level in Skullmonkeys, and, well, it's really annoying. And I accidentally quit the game at the Game Over screen instead of retrying when I was at the last stage of the level, so now I think I'm going to take a break before I lose it.

GABBITS OWN 08-22-2010 12:28 AM

Now playing: Box head 2 play

Mr. Bungle 08-22-2010 12:37 PM

I've been playing through Diablo II, once again. It's still fantastic, obviously.

OANST 08-23-2010 12:28 PM

Some random person on XBox Live begged me to beat 'Splosion Man on Hardcore on his account. Being the wonderful gentleman I am, I did it.

Then I changed the password on his account so that he could never access it again.

Edit: I was only kidding about the last part. I didn't really change his password.

Laser 08-23-2010 02:04 PM

I have been playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chenobyl. Goddamn what a hard game. Fun though.

Daxter King 08-23-2010 02:10 PM

Helped a friend finish Castle Crashers, probably gonna start a new character when another friend gets it.

Mr. Bungle 08-23-2010 02:22 PM

I played 'Splosion Man at my cousins a few weeks ago, lots'a fun, might consider buying it. Not until i've purchased/played Braid, however.

Hazel-Rah 08-24-2010 11:45 AM

Resident Evil Code Veronica on Dreamcast, nostalgiasm! I forgot how much harder video games used to be before it was all about: Xbox, Mountain Dew, and Linkin Park.

Wings of Fire 08-24-2010 11:46 AM

No no, Code Veronica is just really really hard.

Hazel-Rah 08-24-2010 12:03 PM

I respectfully disagree, video games definitely used to be harder. Developers had to compensate for technical limitations and didn't want you blowing through their games, now a days they tell you exactly where to go and what to do as if giving you a map weren't enough, it's condescending I tell you. Not to mention the fact that pretty much every game in existence gives you infinite continues, remember how exciting it was to have to conserve lives and how satisfying it was to get further each time you played the game like a boss.

But I still think video games are better today, storytelling has come a LONG way.

Plus beating games used to earn you bragging rights amongst you friends.

Wings of Fire 08-24-2010 12:30 PM

There's two kinds of difficulty, there's fake difficulty and there's real difficulty.

The Tyrant fight on the plane in RECV is definitely fake difficulty.

Hazel-Rah 08-24-2010 12:57 PM

It's an opinion thing.

You know what I played at an acquaintance's house yesterday? MW2, it was the first time I've ever played a COD game and it was horrible. There's no strategy at all in the multiplayer and you get less experience points for accomplishing objectives than you do for killing people?? WTF!? It's like backwards version of Resistance 2 with terrible particle effects and an utterly ridiculous story.

Seriously MW2 has the worst story EVER I would've forgiven everything else if the story hadn't been so god awful. I'm never giving money to Activision again.

Phylum 08-24-2010 07:20 PM

There is tact in online if you know all the people on your team and have a headset. I've seen my friend dominate when he's on a team with his friends because they utilise teamwork, whereas everyone else just does whatever the hell they feel like and abuse them for being good. He's only still playing it to finish it 100%, though; he became bored with it quite a while ago.

I'm currently playing Quakeworld online. I'd forgotten how to bunny hop (I was never very good) and I didn't recall how hard it was. It makes strafe jumping feel easy.

Hazel-Rah 08-25-2010 01:23 AM

It was on Xbox Live, everybody has a headset, not that it matters since nearly everyone who plays that game is an airsoft rifle douche bag and never has anything useful to say anyway.

The BIGGEST problem with the online play in my experience however is the ridiculous amount of campers, if you're ambushed by one in that game you'll pretty much lose by default since it's a twitch shooter and whoever starts shooting first wins.

Daxter King 08-25-2010 01:07 PM

Most CoD games online eventually turned into a glorified game of hid and seek.

Hazel-Rah 08-25-2010 03:15 PM

Most COD games are shit, Battlefield Bad Company is SO much better.

Phylum 08-25-2010 06:50 PM

CoD1 had pretty good online. The expansion pack has really good online, apparently. I think the fact that people still run servers for it is proof enough.

lismati 08-26-2010 08:23 AM

The best shooter for me ıs Quake 3 Arena o.O . Anyway I am playıng scrıbblenauts on my DS rıght now, when I wıl get home (tomorrow), I jump on steam and beat Portal (1000th tıme)

MeechMunchie 08-26-2010 11:04 AM

Played Worms: Reloaded. It's just a graphically shiny but spiritually devoid version of Worms: World Party. You could just put hats, electromagnets and the new voices in World Party and you'd have a better game.
