I have no idea? well, i didn't, my little brother was playing with the abe's exoddus ddcheat and found it, but he doesn't know how! im spewin i didn't find it out, if i did, me would be famous!:) But anyway i couldn't work it out again so i took a screenshot to show you guys.
Anyone bothered to disamble it and find the key combination? Combinations I Found: Shift+Caps Lock = Stretch Bluring. While in DDCheat Mode Press Space to keep the info while out of ddcheat mode. Whoot! To Paul: It looks fake because i had to size it down for attachment... |

By the way: Abe's Exoddus cam files are extracted incorectly... THE LVL FILES ARE DIFFERENT! And i don't know how i got the teleport thing...Me Researches....:) |
They're extracted fine, the lvl file format is exactly the same in both versions and demo versions of the game, the cam format however, is diffrent. How would you know the lvl file format is diffrent? Do you know what data structure the "diffrent" version uses?

They're all command line tools, so go to start and run and open a command prompt ( cmd.exe on NT OS's or command.com on 9x ) then use the cd command to go to the folder with the tool in it, then type its name camtool.exe and it will display how to use it (I'd tell you but I don't even remeber what options I put in it :P)
BTW I'll prolly make a GUI version soon since most of you seem to be stumped when it comes to command line stuff. |

i just think the lvl format in abe's exoddus is different, im not some computer programming genuis! Im Just young, a kid, i sometimes dont know what im saying, sorry if ive been a bit complicated:( and paul i can send you a abe's exoddus .lvl file, is it legal though??

I think you're very confused, the lvl file format is always the same, AO, AE and even the ps1 versions are the same. The cam files in ps1, AE, and AO are diffrent, therefore there is no way you've converted AE cam files.
Also you don't need to know how to program to reverse file formats. (you only need that to apply what you've found out to test it works. i.e convert the files to a native format, or just write a doc and let someone else write the code for it ) Which brings me to the screenshots you posted, like I said those strings are not in the .exe file so they can't be real. |

I'm am so sorry I didn't look at this sooner. This is amazing although I haven't downloaded anything. I don't know anything about programming but I wish you luck and if it works in the end then I'm going to love it even if I can't figure it out. That's because they're sprites, not part of the .cam file.

It looks like the green mudokon sprites are simply the Abe sprites using altered indexed colours. If someone can find out how to do this, they could colour mudokons in war paint, or make the albino slig.
