Glitch, would you be willing to do a bit of redstone for the station? I want to try and make the doors a bit more mob-proof. I have a system in mind and could probably do it myself, but you could probably do it better.
|
Havoc should still have the original maps - Maybe putting that back shouldn't be much of a problem.
|
Ah guess I missed something afterall. Sorry about that. I could put it back, though. I still need to lower Exoddus anyway.
|
Eh, we all make mistakes. If you could replace it that would be awesome.

Ok, I'll grab you next time I see you on the server and we can discuss it.
In fact, being the Dark Lord and all, maybe I'll kidnap your daughter/granddaughter/wife/mother/hamster and hold her to ransom until you help! |
Is the Zelda Statue I made in the way of the Depot at all Splat? Maybe someone could move it somewhere else.
Also Mudokon_Master, When was the last time you went on the sever? |
It's not in the way but the line might obscure it a bit. I'm not sure, and I hope not. I'll help you move it if necessary.
|
Okay. Well I was thinking more someone do is on MCEdit but if you can help me move it block by block that'll be cool :)
Also, I have some stuff to donate, Lots of Coal and Gold :) |
Gold! :D I'm not sure the storage chests in the station are easily accessible right now but if you can get to them, stick it in a random one. I'll set up a decent store room once I get to making a floor plan of that place.
|
Where did Bessie go? I was temporarily storing her at Exoddus while I built my Cattle Rehabilitation Pasture. Has anyone seen her?
|
Aren't all your cows called "Bessie"? :P
Anyway the night before last I made myself a bunker in the hill under my tower in Ma'Spa, and used up whatever gold/iron I didn't donate to the railway to build myself a minecart lift going up the tower. While watching more TV last night I extended the coaster a bit more - Although it's still a temporary structure that will be taken down once Wil builds up the cathedral a bit (rather than after a set time). It now lasts between 2 and 3 minutes. Also RF is on hold until 1.2 'cause of things coming out that may affect/improve my level design - That's what I'm waiting around for. But I don't feel like posting in my thread just to announce that since 1.2 is just around the corner anyway. |
The cathedral is also on hold until 1.2. I'll get everybody's help to build some lovely arches, and since upside-down stairs and slabs could improve their look dramatically, I'll hold off until I have a finalized design. I would get started with the latest snapshot, but I don't think the reverse slabs are in.

Been away for the weekend as usual, does anyone have any to-do list items I need to work on next time I do some fixing up around the server? Currently I have this:
1. Lower Exoddus (Has anything of importance been built there since the merge?) 2. Find and import Oddhunter's Genesis home (exact location would help a lot). I'll probably get busy with this tommorow. |
As I've told you on the server, I did spend a little time removing the snow from Exoddus and fixing the gates - Also people have removed stuff from there. I'll help Splat restore his tower later if he likes.
And I've shown you where Oddhunter's Genesis home once was - Also bear in mind that to the (now) South of it was a desert with a sandstone tower and some cobble bridge with archways. Around that area in some hills with a valley (perhaps more West of the tower) was a small mountain cave that belonged to Splat or Wil. |

Yeah, if you keep going forward in that direction from my house you'll bump straight into it.
I remember last year I found my way there, got terribly disorientated and freeloaded there for a while while I explored. |
Don't worry about the desert tower/bridges. It is just a thing I made that one time.
|
Oh my, that is what Genesis looked like when I first joined the server
|
Oh yeah Havoc, you may want to remove all the snow from Exoddus
while the chunk is selected - You can replace the snow layer with air. Also you can swap the ice blocks with water. Perhaps that also could be done with Ma'Spa as well. Anyway I was busy with world downloader and Cartographer. So without further ado, here are maps of the 3 main towns: http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1330387060 Nikki and Robert's Mountain House: http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1330388050 http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1330387060 http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1330387060 |
Awesome! You can see my house just above the giant enderman's head.
|
I want to download it right now :(
|
I never realised how massive that hedge-maze is. Who built that?
My Genesis house was so boring. I'm glad I did a better job in Exoddus, and my Ma'Spa hill-fort is looking good so far. |
:
The hedge maze and RF. I'm actually shocked it takes up about 10% of the whole genisis civilization. |
Um, before you talk of transforming ice into water, you might want to take note of the building just above the apartments, and consider the impact the aforementioned global warming would have on the noted abode.
The maps look great and, disconcertingly, bring back some good memories. It's a shame we lost the pine-clad slopes on the far side of my mountain retreat, but ah well. |
Wait, what? Ice into water?
MY HOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSEEEEEEEEE |
:
|
Oh. Well. I'm just going to stand around shuffling my feet now. And glaring at Splat when he's not looking.
|
The hedge maze was my idea - I was quite fascinated by my, then fresh, experience of The Shining movie, and the maze was a result. It was based on a picture I saw in a weird Overlook Hotel leaflet. It was pretty much the best source I could rely on, since you don't really get many overhead shots of the maze in the movie, and in the one you see, the maze appears endless.
It was hard work - especially levelling the place and getting all those logs for the base (back then, of course, leaf blocks needed logs to remain where you put them). I got some help from Nikki who helped with the maze walls. I think it's still not completely finished though - I was planning to put in glowstone so that you can have a midnight maze experience similar to what you see in the movie. |
