This is what I miss from the old days of the server. No sense of a group effort anymore. Everyone moves away from the rest as quick as possible and has their own little world to play in where others are non-existent, except the odd "look-what-I've-made". But then what's the point in playing on a server?

So you can talk to people from the forums on that chat whilst playing Minecraft...

I only build some stuff far out so I can get ores and things from that far out bit and then come back to my main house. I only put up houses there to store some things and stay in over night if it got dark after mining. :)

I always thought it was interesting striking out far into the wilderness and then holing up while everyone else starts expanding outward until they catch up.

I beg to differ - Sure there are a few single projects going on, but almost everything I've been doing on the server over the past few months has been working on projects with others... Dunno what happened to that plan to make a huge underground hidden city though. I've just been back there for the first time since being away for 3 weeks... Some progress has been made but it looks as though it's stalled a bit.

Maybe we should agree on a date to try out the PvP map that Havoc installed (he'll have to talk to me about re-setting it, I'm not sure how yet). Perhaps we could also have adventure map events too, now.

'ere, who stole the iron blocks from outside Crashpunk's house? They used to make up his drawbridge. Now they're missing, and they broke the circuitry.

They do. Unfortunately I couldn't get a clear log to show who was there before Dark since he apparently replaced the blocks there with dirt. I checked some stuff inside though and the only person who was there shortly before Dark was Wario himself (And Destro over 300 hours ago). But since Wario was there pretty short before Dark (within the same hour) I think he took them himself.

You got the LogBlock plugin? That was real good, I used to use it a lot when I was admin of another server. I never figured out how to set it up myself though, a lot of mySQL crap.

I didn't touch anything. Not only did the Iron blocks from the Drawbridge disappear, the Iron Blocks in my fort making up my Vault Doors were missing.

I tried logblock, but it wouldn't work properly. And it also wants to roll back every single thing a person has done ever when they get banned by default, and that is a pretty retarded functionality if you ask me.

Core Protect does a fairly good job but as goes to show, it does have its limitations. Once a block is replaced you can not get any info on who manipulated that area before. Unfortunately decent logging plugins are hard to find, there's something wrong with each of them. My quest continues I suppose.

Maybe Mojang's willingness to better accommodate the needs of modders and servers will allow a better logging plugin to be developed.

Yeah, that was the only real problem I thought it had. Everything else was fine when I used it. There used to be a great plugin called BigBrother. Unfortunately it was discontinued.

I actually tried BigBrother as well but that refused to work at all, so yeah.

Well, when it was working, it was a great plugin, none of that auto-rollback bullshit.

I still need to make that 4-block tall gold tower on my roof, and a sign on it naming it the 'Tower of Pimps'. Just because it's possible. (I have too much gold).

Known Bugs:
- Multi world plugin doesn't work properly with this build yet and has been disabled for the time being. As a result Skyblock and The Walls are not available. Nether is still available.

Server Changes

New Donation System
Because server donations weren't coming in as much a I had hoped and I ended up paying for the majority (if not all) of the server bill every month, I've come up with a new system. I've spoken with Dripik and Dark about this and as a result we will run this feature as an experiment for the time being.

There are now several donation packages for sale (for real money, obviously) on the server. When you buy one of these packages you donate the price trough Paypal after which a plugin will automatically give you the items or abilities described below when you log in (give or take 5 minutes).

Buying a package can be done using the /buy command. When selecting a package you will receive a link to the payment page that you can click. Prices are in Euro's.

Currently we have three packages for sale:

Iron Tool Package - €2,00
- 1 x Iron Pickaxe
- 1 x Iron Axe
- 1 x Iron Shovel

Diamond Tool Package - €5,00
- 1 x Diamond Pickaxe
- 1 x Diamond Axe
- 1 x Diamond Shovel

VIP Package [30 days] - €1,50
- Gain the ability to fly using /fly. You can not do damage or use potions while flying.
- Gain the ability to teleport to other players using /tp and /back.
- Gain the ability to teleport back to the place you died using /back.
- Receive 3 Bottles o' Enchanting for your support!

I realize that buying items for real money may not seem like a good idea to everyone. However by only allowing tools to be bought I wanted to limit this feature to items that are a means to an end, not the end itself. A diamond sword, for example, would be an end. Armor is also an end. By only providing tools you can only get to your goal quicker, but not instantly. If you want a diamond sword you will still have to use your diamond pick to find enough diamonds to make one. I hope that makes sense.

The packages or the prices are not set in stone and if you have a suggestion to change something, by all means go ahead.

General Server Changes
- Creative mode has been taken out completely for everyone, including admins. We are now a 100% survival server.
- Flying has been taken out for everyone, including admins. Only way to gain fly ability it to buy the VIP package.
- Teleporting is still available to admins and moderators. Regular members who buy the VIP package can teleport themselves, but can not teleport other players.
- We have a new announcer plugin that will be announcing important information within the server more clearly and less annoying every 10 minutes.

Future Plans
- We are most likely going back to LogBlock afterall. It seems the major issues I had with it have since then been fixed.

So much for the changes. I will update the server as soon as more stable builds are released, but I know how you all hate waiting for the server to update, hence the dev build.

I'm glad the servers updated however I really think the paid packages are really stupid. For starters €2,00 for Iron Tools? Iron is pretty common and making the tools aren't very hard. Same applies for the €5,00 Diamond package.

Maybe the items could be different? because in my honest opinion it's not worth it.

You're missing the point. First and foremost you're donating to keep the server alive. Unlike before though, you now get a reward for doing so. Like I said I don't want people to be able to pay to win by buying full suits of diamond armor and enchanted swords.

Perhaps something unique? I don't know what it could be but maybe something special? And i'm not against donating to the server, No way! Once I get a job, I will be donating :)

EDIT: How did you get so all those stacks of Diamond and Gold?

That was my first thought but there are no unique items in Minecraft. Everything can be obtained in one way or another. Except for sponge... but what use is that :/

How about the reward could something to make our lives a little easier? But it's useful then just tools? Maybe you could choose any block and get stacks of them? Obviously have rules for instance like no TNT.

I said get special name colours but then again mods wouldn't get anything then since they have their own colour.

I would sooo donate for an orange tag. :D

Although if the server has PermissionsEx it would be possible because you can set prefixes on it. Like <Mod - Wariopunk> and you could have like <Donator - User>.

It does work on individuals, I've done it before, you just edit the config.yml thing I think. I had it on my friend's server where we each had unique tags.

You can use that if you wanted but you'd have to change the "- mod" part to the name of the class you want them to be in, because of course, I don't know what you've named the groups. :p

That one would make the server moderator bit the blue-ish colour crash's name is in right now and it would make his actual username white.

Donators could be something like:

That one would do this on chat:
