-- My line art homework for cartooning class this Saturday. :) http://oddworldforums.net/attachment...1&d=1182304832 Actually, I planned to draw Nightingale but then I decided to draw someone who doesn't look that detailed. I don't like drawing every single feather of Nightingale's wing... I thought that a picture of the Priestess would be nice too. What d'you think? |
Wow, she looks pretty. Dangerous too. Nice job!
|
Thank you. I appreciate your comment! :)
|
Great! Haven't seen The Priestess for a time. Nice lining. She looks aware, like when someone's caught by surprise.
Cartooning class... I miss the Art classes all of a sudden. |

I had my first airbrushing class today. Gotta love airbrush! :D
My teacher thinks, I'm talented (means she's crazy). Anyway... today I had to practice that stuff before I really could start to color a sketch I made. It's about a sea dragon. I'm gonna airbrush it next week. With airbrush you can do the easiest things that doesn't even take that long but it will look like professional work, heh. :D When you put some scrap on your paper, airbrush it, and put the paper a little different near your airbrushed picture over and over again, the most interesting shapes come out. I also used some tape roles to make circles look more perfectly. Seriously, airbrushing is cool. Quick but good-looking pictures and it's something that won't smear because it dries fast. :) |
Wow, they look freaking awesome!
|
Freaking thank you! :D
|
:eek:WoW! those are so beautiful! the forms the color and everything!!...is so beautiful...they are making me...peaceful...

Sorry for the weird quality. Had to put two pictures together because the scanner did not have enough place to scan the whole paper. His expression should show something between aggressiveness and joy (sort of). He looks funny but when you know what his personality truly is like, you won't dare to tell him that. This is the half-brother of the Priestess, believe it or not. They have different fathers. Uh-oh, this is gonna be a long, big, fat piece of a story again... :eeek: The father of the Priestess was a human who felt in love with her mother (who was a two-legged, deer-like species with big hands, a tatooed face and she was a skilled sorcerer as well) and the mother truly didn't dislike him. So he kinda married her and they kinda had a daughter then. Later, he left because people really hated the mother out of fear because she was not a human but a powerful priestess, protecting her temple. And she was (of course) female. Females were never respected at all and would never be. So the father also started to hate her and left out of ego... like human men often do. But the mother of the Priestess (man, I badly need names for them) wasn't very hurt because she actually knew that she was damn unwelcome in the whole world. However, she sticked to her destiny to protect temples from evil and raised her child alone. She also knew that her life will end earlier than she wished to and taught her child everything important to survive in case men will try to hunt and kill her. Her daughter could also conjure and do magic stuff (it's her heritage) but not as much as her mother because she's still a half-human... After her husband left, her mother still wanted to have a second child (just that she had enough offspring, as she has wished to get). As the last one of her species, she had to choose any man who was able to do her the favor of giving her another child. It sounds weird, but her species is usually not very sentimental concerning love. But, they're all about responsibility, honesty and honor. Having offspring and breeding good is one of the most important things to do right for them. So, they're not cold-hearted or unfeeling at all. They're very serious. She finally found a man, but he was not a human. He was a dragon/scorpion/tiger-like beast (I didn't design him yet) who lived in a forest. He did speak the human language but didn't really act like one at all. He lived like an animal and his personality is animal too. She got pregnant and then the half-brother of the Priestess was born. By then, the mother considered it best to give her son to his father so that he could take care of him... A few years later, the mother got murdered (maybe even by her husband) when she slept in her bed. Luckily, her daughter was safe from humans in a secret place where her mother once taught her everything she knew. When her daughter heard about the death of her mother, she wanted to become the new priestess in place of her dead mother and also had to fight for it all the time she lived. Now she was not only hated but lonely. Yet brave enough to continue fighting. Meanwhile, her half-brother's father taught his son everything he knew. He learned to hunt, to know everything about nature as well as getting out the human's way because they were dangerous. When his son was grown-up his father left (because all animals do when their cups are old enough). His son didn't care to be a loner. His father's species simply are loners like tigers. So it ran in the blood. The half-brother did call on his mother and her daughter sometimes and appreciated the time they had together, but he often just stayed in his home in the forest to live like he was always used to. Sometimes he walks on all four (especially when he goes hunt) but he also walks on his two legs sometimes. I guess, that's because he can't really decide what he actually should move like when his father is a four-legged one and his mother a two-legged person. :) I plan to make a short animation about this story of mine with the help of a friend of mine. :D By the way, I really need names. If you have some good ones, fire away!! |
he's a really beautiful creature!:3...great job on the pic!;)

Thank you! :)

You're welcome!:)

Awesome! I love his violent-like face expression.

-- This is a concept (means, I'm gonna do a colored version of it soon) of one of my favorite Digimons when I was a kid. I was just watching some very old episodes I recorded on a video cassette where Blackwargreymon turned up. And I still like his story. You might say that I'm damn childish even I'm 18 years old now. Well, maybe that's right, I do enjoy the few happy moments of my childhood. :) You can't see the background good on this one. It's going to have some bamboos (and broken ones) around him on a ground with grass which is stained with Blackwargreymon's black blood. It's a scene I really liked... By the way, I noticed that Blackwargreymon's German voice is completely different from the English one. I was even a bit disappointed when I heard the English one on Youtube when I found it out because I was curious. The German voice sounds almost like Godzilla, and that's why it sounds like a roar when he screams, out of pain. |
Awesome!:DBlackwargreymon is a really cool Digimon!

|
Great drawing, SM! Like his expression.
|
:
:
What??! He never saw him singing a song.  By the way, the scene I drew about is here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Dy7gWawFs4M (on 4:30) Exact translation: "Why? Why can they live as they live? Somebody has to answer me. What was I born for? Why? What's the sense of it? Is anything wrong with me? Why am I so different from them?! If I don't get answers for that, I would not mind if this world perishes! So answer me!! " |
Yup, I like his German voice too (well, that's the only one I know).
|
:
WoW! his german voice is much better than the hungarian...and it was good to watch this episode again!:D oh I hate "Shakkoumon", he looks so stupid!XD |
:
:
I didn't find the Hungarian voice. Can you please give me a link if you have any? Oh yeah, Shakkoumon was so disappointing! I thought this would be some kind of a armored angel (between an armadillo and angel) that looks cooler than the rest I've ever seen. But noooo... it had to be one stupid digimon. XD -- Here's a fan art I made about a character of a very good artist on deviantart.com. She makes cool Flash movies. He's called "Mister Creazil". See the movie about the story here. It takes about 8 minutes. (May be too scary for kids.) Left: Smaller size Right: Original size |
Awesome fur, Stranger's Maid! Looks pretty 3D. :D
|
Thank you! :)
-- Oh, don't mind this banner. I only use it to design my journal entries on deviantart.com.They say that I have to upload it in a different page so that I can link it from them into my journal. :p |

and "BAMO!!!" ...Shakkoumon! |
Another banner for my journal. It's a little peace of my almost finished colored version of the Pied Piper of Hamelin ("Follow me to the Water"). :)

I was like drawing some sketches. Okay, the quality looks weird...
http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1183359207 These sketches were inspired by the CD "Le Peuple Migrateur" (I have no idea what this means but it's music from a movie about birds when they're flying southward). If you have the CD, it was the numbers 3, 6, 16 and 17 that pretty inspired me to come up with this part of my story. Finally, I got some names for my characters. :D The Priestess' name is Kiho and her half-brother's name is Kana. These are pictures about the scene I had in mind after Kiho ran away from the humans who just murdered her mother (which I'm gonna call Mahina). Kiho was still young and very scared and went deep into the nearest forest where she met her half-brother, accidentally. Kana asked her why she was pale-faced and what was going on. Kiho could not cry because she is not a full-human, however, she looked truly sad and she did feel the pain in her heart very bad. Then she told him about the murder of their mother and suddenly hugged Kana out of fear to loose him too. (Notice that these guys never hug like humans by wrapping one's arms around somebody, because this is like holding somebody just tight. They only lean a bit against each other to show their love, so that they can part easily at will, in case one of them doesn't want to be hugged. The only ones Kana holds tight is his prey. :] ) Kana felt sorry for Kiho, though, he knew about humans, death and life very well. He learned it from his father. But he gave his half-sister some comfort and a home where she could live for a while anyway. Kiho knew that she had to return someday because she was the only one who could protect her temple as good as her mother did once. But for now, she spent her time being together with her half-brother to be far away from the humans she was afraid of. Don't worry, she'll come over the death of Mahina and return to the humans who hate her and always try to desecrate her temple. And fight. :) |
These are neat. Like the story to them too.
|
Those are really good!:)and I also like there names:)good work!

-- I tried to design Kana's father, Adahy. http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1183508331 I decided to leave him in that gothic-like design as in the last pictures. I know, there's a copied face in that picture with only different marks. I was too lazy to draw my favorite-head design again but wasn't happy with the marks too. So I traced it. Sue me. When I drew Adahy I listened to the songs of Lordi, especially "Monster, Monster", "Night Of The Living Dead" and "My Heaven Is Your Hell" (haha, so damn matching XD) to get better into his gothic nature with that hard rock stuff. I noticed how much I like gothic designs. :D Adahy has a really cold personality and he never smiles or is happy at all in his whole life. I don't even know how Mahina (the mother of Kiho) could talk him into making her pregnant and even raise their child (he's not a good babysitter, he's a carnivore and the strongest one of his species.) When Mahina went into the forest, Adahy even attacked her and wanted to kill her because she lived with the humans. And he hate all humans very much. He doesn't really eat the humans when he sees some. He only spreads them all over the ground. But this time, Mahina was more powerful than him (what impressed Adahy deep inside) and her counterattack paralyzed him for a short while. Adahy was still conscious enough that he could hear what Mahina said to him. And even he could not move his body, he could answer her. It was a magic thing that Mahina did to him. When their conversation went to an end, Mahina took her spell away from him again so that he was free again. I don't know what exactly made Adahy agree in the end. Probably, Mahina made a very good pact with him. Plus, she had to tell him not to kill his son when he raise it. Because he probably had. A few years later, when Kana was grown up he left. And from then on, he did not consider Kana to be his son anymore but his rival if they ever meet again. And Kana knew that. They never had a father-son-relationship at all and to be honest, Kana always disliked him but never dared to tell him that. After Kana gave his half-sister Kiho a home in the forest, he left her while she was sleeping to get some food. Then she woke up and wondered where Kana went and left her safe place to look for him without realizing the many dangers. Suddenly, Adahy saw her walking in the forest, which he always considered as his "very own" forest and also saw that she was a half-human and attacked her without warning. Kiho tried to defend against him as good as she could but her skills were not as good as her mother's. She could not hurt him bad. And he didn't stop attack her over and over again too. In the meantime, Kana has smelled his father being near by his half-sister and ran to her to save her. He knew about his hate against humans and all dealing with them. He appeared just in time and a fight between him and his father began (I'll probably draw a picture about it). It was a matter of life and death. And Kana was, as a half-species, really more weak than his father who was the strongest full-species in the whole forest (my main characters are no super-heroes, you know!). And Adahy's scorpion-like tail is toxic too and Kana's one is not, because he's not a full-species like his father. Kiho tried to help him as good as she could when she saw him getting hurt more and more. But not even her powers could help him... or herself. She got wounded as well and Adahy would have killed them (his son first) if there was not the human hunter around who shot an arrow in Adahy's chest. Adahy didn't die but was hurt. Yet not hurt enough to ran to the hunter he noticed now and kill him. Kiho and Kana had enough time to ran away, to the safe place where Kana lived. Kiho wasn't as badly hurt as Kana and took care for her half-brother. And he survived. -- The residual pictures are just designs for my journal. Don't mind them... :) |

Oh, so you speak French? :) :
-- http://www.oddworldforums.net/attach...1&d=1183599428 Seems that my inspirations of my story didn't stop. Although, I couldn't come up with a good title for this concept yet which I'm gonna color as soon as I can (I've so much other things to do). This picture will probably get the right expression when you listen to "My Heaven Is Your Hell" while you look at it, especially the music in the beginning. :D Gotta love hard rock. It's pretty inspiring in scenes like that. I never really come up with stories by thinking of texts and many words at all, more with pictures as if it would be a movie in my mind. This one was pretty fun for me. Adahy and Kana are having a fight like tigers, only without the rule of letting the enemy be alive. By the way, Kana is grinning because he loves to fight. Especially against somebody he never liked. Too bad, his grin needles his father's wish to let him die more painfully. Did I already say that Adahy's tail is toxic but Kana's one isn't? At least, Kana's tail is still sharp enough to hurt anybody but he's not a full-species after all so he can't hurt really bad with it. Adahy's poison is not "deadly" (depends on how big you are), it's some kind of a nerve poison that makes every move of your muscles damn painful for many days, even weeks. And Kana is gonna be hit by Adahy's toxic tail too! He's gonna loose this fight (he won't die but he got badly hurt) even Kiho tried very hard to help him... Adahy is just too powerful. |
Yees, hard rock is awesome. I should listen to "My Heaven is Your Hell." And the song You've Got a Friend in Me also rocks.
Awesome picture. I love all the dangerous and freaky teeth of Adahy. |
