My thinking is that there will probably be five movies to begin with, and Stranger won't be the top star of any of them - it'll be the original Quintology. But we'll see. Lorne may decide Stranger's story is an epic enough to join the ranks of the other heroes.

Statikk, you raise an excellent point. Hearing this non-announcement hasn't raised my oestrogen levels one bit, but while people are all now talking about it, it's rather infectious. I would remind everyone to retain their typical Oddworld patience, though.

if a movie were to ever come out it should be based on the game, i mean, all these game movies that come out suck because it ain't based on the story line people loved that came from the game. Like Tomb Raider.

It's like me with dinosaurs- I used to whine about how none of the dinosaur-themed movies of late were accurate. I've learned to clamp it and appriceate them for how they're portrayed in the movie, not compaire them to their real-life counterparts.

I went on IMDB to see if an Odworld movie has been announced and the result came with Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus The Movie. Now this was never made (as far as I know). anyway check it out if you want to

It was a short film featuring the FMVs from AE that OWI entered into some short film thing. They won an Emmy or something.

There would not be a record of an Oddworld movie yet.

They took the FMVs from AE, created some new stuff to link it together and entered it for nominations at the Academy Awards. It was nominated but they didn't win.

I actually remember seeing the AE movie VHS on ebay a while ago, though it was up for a ridiculous amount of patronage.

This shows that you do Not see Abe's paw print on his Moon during gameplay, but you do in the movie just after this screen shot.

Cullan, we all know that we see Abe's moon after that screenshot in the FMV, and you do see the Abe's moon with his hand printed during gameplay aswell. That's not the screenshot, it's in a secret area.

Well this is the screenshot that we were talking about earlier.

How can that be the same moon? It's to Abe's right, and Abe's Moon is in front of him when he lands, and is much bigger than that one. Having said that, Abe's Moon in the secret area is teensy compared to that one.

I don't remember how much I paid, but as it turned out, you can play American VHS cassettes on UK players, so I have been able to watch ‘The Movie’. ;) Ah, those were the days when I had a job and could afford things.

Did the SW DVD contain all the new material that was added to the 'movie'?

The only AE stuff it had was from the the game.

There was the FUD TV bit from the AE movie but I'm not sure if there was more that didn't make it into the DVD.

hmmm this case is a bit more difficult. Since OWI isn't eanring any money with this product at all, I mean it isn't in the stores anymore. So Max wouldn't do much harm to the "sells". On the other hand it's still an OWI product and they might decied to re-release it in the future, and if everyone allready has it on his PC there wont be much buyers

That particular Oddworld Inhabitants doesn't exist anymore, hence the hapiness associated with this thread.

There are numerous F.U.D. T.V. clips between pre-existing footage, but I can't recall anything new apart from those.

While possible, I don't have the resources to copy the movie to my PC, so the legality of it is a moot point right now. I would say that since it is copyrighted by Oddworld Inhabitants, it would be illegal. The company Oddworld Inhabitants still exists despite whatever staff changes have taken place.

I am just so happy that OWI is sort of back on its feet..well its in the shadows, when i found this out a tear ran down my cheek i was so happy, OWI in by far my favorite company, if I would be a steef i would and I am just so happy cause now i can continue to try to access my goal to work at oddworld when im older lol

Its possible this movie wont even be about oddworld, but I can't figure out and I mean this in a nice way who this movie will target outside fans, I mean is there enough of a following that this will be a good idea

It's meant to break through to the general public. This isn't meant as a "game movie" but rather a movie who's plot has also been used in a game.

I'm not meaning to p*ss on everyones fireworks here, but be aware that 90% of all movies that are started are never finished.

However, I still can't wait for the movie if it, and I will be at the London Premier (Assuming it will have a theatrical release)

That is the most uninformed statistic I have heard in a long while.

If all films started were finished we would have an overload in films in the market, Cinemas, Oscars.

I am not just talking about American Films, I'm talking all films, from Hollywood to Bollywood.

OK, maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's 80 percent, I read it the other day in a film Magazine.

Thats if you call "starting a film" some writer starting a script, or a producer commissioning someone to do just that.

Once a movie gets down into production, it's rare for it to be cancelled entirely (Terry Gilliam's Don Quixote comes to mind).

Writing a script is not considered as Starting a film.

It is not a film until it is out of pre and into full production.

with the massive influx and almost obssession with fully cg films the companies currently have, i'd be surprised if the oddworld film doesn't get picked up.
