Unfortunately, I think that's the only official art that's been released. |
I mean that perhaps in Monsaic Lines it's possible to sight some meeches statue/ruins.
Oh, I misunderstood your post. As far as I know there are no such statues.
That's true, there is not any statue in Mosaic Lines, or any hand stone message that mackes mention to Meeches.
The only reference we have to Mudokons honouring Meeches is from Dear Alf, which is notoriously unreliable.

Ok here's an easy question why didn't Elum Chubs posters appear in the corridor where Abe was working at the beginning of AO?

How long was NnT's exclusivity deal with Sony? One month, am I remembering it correctly? Will we know PC release date soon after that?
30-day console exclusive. Doesn't cover PC. We could have released PC before for all they cared, but the PC version takes longer because it has to work on any configuration of PC, plus have a whole bunch of extra features.
You won't know the release date soon. We won't know the release date soon. We've got a few rough estimates, but declaring estimates is always tricky because people take it as an expectation. |

But it's Unity. It's supposed to be easily converted to other platforms. Especially PC. And Unity is like, extra compatible with like, any PC.
Yeah, Wil.
But seriously, Varrok, it may be easier but, with a 17 man team or so, porting games can be quite time consuming. |
It is easier. In a lot of ways. But it won't magically know what assets to pick for which graphics settings, and it can't auto-generate the art and design for a keybinding menu. Those are just examples, there's more than that. Easier doesn't mean there's no work to do.
Seems legit.
Just don't Munch this, take your time. |
For the love of everything don't Munch this. A simple Unity port could take next to no time, but a good port that is optimized might not.
JAW didn't really do the Munch port, though. You should say don't Stranger this.
I don’t think that’s even applicable here, because there’s a huge difference between the circumstances of the Stranger port and the NnT port.
Indeed, Manco.

Just wondering if anyone knows why the wheelchair was chosen as a vehicle for Munch?
Because his leg is broken and he can't walk?
Holy Sock is discriminating handicapped people. Not wonderful
I know it's broken in the original concept art but it's certainly not in the main game. I guess the concept just carried over?
Was just wondering since someone I know, whose mother is in a wheelchair, was questioning the concept when he saw me playing Munch HD. |
There's also the point that Munch is adapted for life at sea, and the wheels let him move faster than he could otherwise. The wheelchair itself is a reminder that he's fleeing from a bunch of mad doctors, as well as being quite a recognisable, empathetic image for the audience.
Those were my reckons. But they didn't seem to satisfy what was considered the (his self-admitted not too logical but more emotional feelings) seemingly trivialisation of the need for a wheelchair. Considering his mother being wheelchair dependent created a very difficult strain on his family growing up.
So I was wondering if there was a direct quote from the MO dev team on the matter. It wasn't a serious issue but just a little conversation we had and I said I'd consult the experts! |
I'm tired right now, but I expect the "Munch: The Heart" and "Munch's Oddysee" sections of TFTY have some design quotes on his wheelchair.
