Though I feel as if only me and Pilot will understand this. This forum has too many gays and not enough car nerds!

You fucking prius! Chevy's are good! Well, the old ones are.

Are cars those things that get you from A to B in a considerably quickish fashion? If it is, I don't see how I can be nerdy over it.

EDIT: Just seconds after posting this a Chevrolet advert came on TV.

My friend Kate designed the airconditioning system for the new Camaro. She was driving one around Melbourne even before they were available in the US.

Does she work there?

She works for Holden, which is GM's Australian subsidiary.

NFI. It was a hand built test model, so I'm guessing they didn't go overboard with the flashness.

I find it rather odd that your friend works for Holden and she ends up doing work for Chevy.

In working for Holden she works for General Motors, so it really isn't that odd.

It's a bit like working for Cadbury and making cheese in my eyes...

It would be like that if Cadbury was owned by a company that also owned a cheese maker.

Although chocolate and cheese are a different matter to car parts and car parts.

She doesn't work for GM; she works for Holden. They're both subsidiaries. And they often contract out parts of the design process to other subsidiaries.
