I don't think it does. The whole "organic/naturalist" subculture doesn't have a clue. I mean, they believe that if it's natural it is good for you, if it isn't, then it's not. It's juxtaposed with reality and can be very unhealthy if you get it wrong (which you will if like most of them you are primarily "informed" by Oprah).
