Jesus Christ guys, stop bickering like a married couple or siblings. This is supposed to be a topic about having kids, not who is the biggest and best or why you guys are arguing.

Of course, this just paints a huge target on MY back for being sensible and saying it out loud...

Do you need a tissue? It's made from trees! Trees that you love!

mitsur 12-09-2006 07:46 PM

You know, i'm regretting typing this post, because I know that even though I'm posting AGAINST bickering back and forth, i'm actually contributing. Damn reverse physcology...

OANST, if all you're getting out of OWF is that giddy feeling you get when you're being a prick, why are still here?

Please, just stop this stupid arguing.

*waits for witty yet stinging retort*

Arxryl 12-09-2006 08:48 PM

Stinging as in needles? Or a man-eating flesh desease?
Okay kidding aside... well, actually that was just completely kidding.
I think this is the crowd of people you don't want to shout "Pasifism rules!" in front of.
*hopes the rage and fury dies down a bit*

snuzi 12-09-2006 08:58 PM

No offense, Arxryl, but you are only adding to this pointless arguement. It's best if we just stay out of it, since nothing we can say can resolve this. Ultimitely, it'll all lead up to ths topic being closed.

mitsur 12-09-2006 09:04 PM

Correct, my good friend.

*Ed voice* Shush!

I suppose your right. I think everyone on the forum has already posted wether or not they want kids.

snuzi 12-09-2006 09:09 PM

Yeah, seriously. And if they haven't they probably don't care to do so anytime soon :p

It's actually not the kids I want, but what you need to do to make the kids.

;) Sorry if I have offended your eyes at all.

Arxryl 12-09-2006 09:22 PM

As we all know. Making the babies is the fun part.

snuzi 12-09-2006 09:32 PM

But raising 'em can be fun too :)

Arxryl 12-09-2006 09:36 PM

Yeah... I enjoy the whole cycle of children. Making the babies, raising the children, watching them graduate college, seeing them beat you at video games, watching them get married, and then knowing they are sharing the same experience as you have when their first "It's a boy/girl!" sign pops up on their lawn.

snuzi 12-09-2006 09:38 PM

So do I. It just seems very...nice. I honestly can't wait until I become a father and get to experience all of that :)

Statikk HDM 12-10-2006 05:42 AM

Everybody here is a jerkface.

So they can continue to say things that are stupid. Like... "You are a fag! Go and make out with a toilet! Fatty! Oooooooooh!"

Exactly, and if they see the name of someone they hate right next
to the thread's title (especially in a thread they posted in already),
what's the chances they won't go in and investigate and maybe
try to humilate the other.

Arxryl 12-10-2006 07:05 AM

My thoughts exactly, but that feud seems to have died off.

skillya_glowi 12-10-2006 04:59 PM

Well, even though yes, almost everyone has posted whether or not they want children or not, we could still potentially discuss the ups and downs of the scheme in a civil way.

snuzi 12-10-2006 07:19 PM

Yes, that's precisely what I was hoping we could do as well.

Arxryl 12-10-2006 07:23 PM

A good thing about having kids would be the joy you could bring them, like the joy my parents borught me as a child.

a bad thing would be if you weren't a good enough parent for them and ended up treating them like dirt...

I would hope for number one.

Kamille 12-10-2006 07:29 PM

So I'm an uncle today my sister's baby came early it's a girl *sighs* there goes my plans of teaching the kid to be just like me, the baby was an emergency cesarean section which I hear is quite popular these days. I feel kind of depressed my parents are getting older and they know it and time is just flying but nothing I can do about it.

Arxryl 12-10-2006 07:37 PM

No.. I imagine that this is pretty on-topic. You are discussing children and so... yeah.

Congrats on the neice!

I know exactly what you mean, Arxryl. That is yet another aspect of parenthood that I'm looking forward to: making my children as happy as I possibly can. I hate the people I hear about on the news who abuse their children or mistreat them in other ways. It really sickens me in ways I can't even begin to describe. Children are a gift that everyone should cherish, in my opinion, not inanimate objects that you can choose to take your anger out on. That's why I'm going to try my best, in the future to provide my children with whatever they need.

You could still teach her to be just like you, Kamille. She could still view you as a role model despite the gender difference :)

Kamille 12-10-2006 08:00 PM

I was just kidding I don't think her parents want her to be just like me anyway haha. My sister wants to name her Robia I think it was, when I first heard the name I was thinking it doesn't sound like a girls name so two things I already have in common with this kid we both have names that don't match our genders and both of us were c-section babies.

snuzi 12-10-2006 08:02 PM

You know, it's weird, you have the same name as I do, except mine is spelled "Kamil", plus I was a c-section baby as well :p

But anyways, why wouldn't her parents want her to be like you?

Kamille 12-10-2006 08:11 PM

My name is actually spelled "Camille". I don't know I didn't really like my sister's husband since I met him and my sister just always seems to be mad at me now, and they are really religious and I like working and buying nice things I don't like religion at all so I know her husbad never liked me either. My sister changed her religion she's Muslim now my family was always Catholic so if I even mention drinking they get pissed.

snuzi 12-10-2006 08:13 PM

I figured it was probably spelled that way.

Ah man, I hate when that kinda thing happens. I don't understand how marriage changes certain people so drastically, especially people who are etremely close. It's mind boggling :\

Kamille 12-10-2006 08:20 PM

Yeah I was always close with my sister more than anyone in my family then she got married, and that religion doesn't help I don't just mean that one I mean every religion it divides people.

Arxryl 12-10-2006 08:21 PM

Especially when kids are invlolved with drinking... wait. you were talking about people disliking eachother?

and I hope you can get along with your family. It sucks when you can't...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't get how things that are supposed to be positive end up dividing people :\

Perfect example of the stupidity of religion.
Tell them to **** off.

snuzi 12-11-2006 07:47 AM

I doubt telling them that would solve anything. It'd only bring about more problems and cause more friction between them. Also, religion isn't stupid to everyone, and you shouldn't say it is without considering other people's views.
