How very colonial. Well done!
|
Has he got a Mudokon paw on his face?
|
hehe nein nein. This is non-oddworld art & literature. I was trying to make it look atmospheric, and I didn't really define the face much, to try to make this ghostly appearance. That was what I was going for.
Wait, scrabtrapman, I appreciate the well done, but what do you mean when you say colonial? |
:
thank you; I couldn't come up with a fitting name yet, maybe you got some ideas? your painting is very atmospheric indeed and dark too. maybe you could make a gif, or better upload it at youtube. that would be nice. what's your newgrounds acc name? |

Given that most attempts at creating female class variants for the characters in TF2 are just gender-bent versions of the male characters (or if they aren't, there's absolutely no creativity put into their designs beyond turning them into eyecandy), I'm going to give it a shot myself and see what I get. Already designed the Sniper and the Engie, and the Heavy as you can see. My Spy design is terrible, so I'm still working on that. I'll try to do one for every class. Oh, and I think I'm in love with Scrabface's drawing style. |
Dipstikk that's sick and supercool at the same time. Wanna see more plz.
and thank you |
lol bubba
That's a tough tranny. |
|
aww Dipstikk lets turn that frown upside down.
|
as I don't expect to win I think I can post it here; deviantart contest
the clouds are def not well balanced but I am to lazy to fix it. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4QZjCi448Q.../artwater3.jpg |
That's pretty cool. It's a little hard to get the whole picture in, cause of the vast space of water, or it just looks big on my computer. What was the theme to it? Water stuff? I tried 2 deviantart contest before, but never one. I think it's kind of weird that you can see everyone elses submissions before the deadline. So posting it here wouldn't really make a difference.
...oh it was the water bottle art one. Got it. |
:
I like this quite a bit. There's something charming about it. Was considering entering that contest too. I had some cool ideas, and entries were generally not very good. But then I got busy with a load o f shit <.< ... do the winners ever get published? wanna know who won. |
thank you. may I have your DA nick? wanna check out your stuff
|
Sure, it's 'pppeep'. I know, it's the lamest name ever. But be warned, there's nothing wortwhile uploaded there. I jut uploaded a bunch of random junk lol.
Lately, I've been spending my time trying to develop my skill, so nothing worthwhile has come out of that either, except sketches. But feel free to take a look. |
ow keep your work up!
visited the KHM (kunsthistorisches museum) yesterday to draw some busts with a friend. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4QZjCi448Q...8/s1600/01.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4QZjCi448Q...s/s1600/02.jpg |
man these are all epic!
|

|
acrylic? very nice colours and brushstrokes.
thank you. I used a screenshot from a movie, but I don't know which one :P there's this blog collecting a lot of screenshots and I always collect them. I used the pencil tool in photoshop for that I am forced to concentrate on colours as I cannot blend them. |
thanks pal, it is acrylic. It was for my painting class I took, and the assignment was to make something with the impasto technique, like Van Gogh. I think some part I rushed on because I had to make the deadline and the floor looks a little flat. I just got oil paints and I like them a lot better.
It seems trying to do that on photoshop (with a kind of cel shading style) would take forever. I personally wouldn't want to go through that torture, but I've never been a fan of photoshop really. |
painting class cool
what you studying? sparth's idea to use only squaretool - so much fun http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4QZjCi448Q...00/sqface2.jpg |
Ziggy, did you do Art in at school/college? Did you study the Impressionists?
|
not sure if it fits in here, but I used this old family footage showing my great grand father in Budapest to mix it up with an Aphex Twin music shot. I heard, he was one of the coolest guy ever, but we missed each other as he died in 86 and I was born in 87.

here are mine
http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/9648/aaaaaaalien.jpg http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/7016/aliennnnnn.jpg their kinda messy, sorry. |
Nice stuff. It looks a little like the H R Giger monsters to me.
@Avenging Gibbons: No I don't. It was just a beginning painting class where we go over a bunch of crap. A collage I made for drawing studio problems at my school. Something I never really tried before. I like it, but I failed in some things I wanted to do with it because of impatience: ![]() and a bunny wabbit ![]() |
Rabbit's have this way of showing lack of terror, no matter what the situation. Even when surronded by a snake. It's captured exceptionally well there. And the rabbit is so sweet and innocent.
|
man the detail in this is amazing! I love this, def the best I've seen from you so far. very moody - I want moar!
|
sorry for the double post again, but it seems noone's around here sooo
I blew this one :(. I did this for a comic contest, but the deadlines already over so I didn't finish. I thought I could make it, but it took me 2h till midnight and I only would have needed 20 more min - ARGH!!! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4QZjCi448Q.../s1600/001.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4QZjCi448Q.../s1600/002.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4QZjCi448Q.../s1600/003.jpg |
